"Wild dark times are rumbling towards us, and the prophet who wishes to write a new apocalypse will have to invent entirely new beasts, and beasts so terrible that the ancient animal symbols of St. John will seem like cooing doves and cupids in comparison." - Lutetia ( Paris ) 1842 The Vengeance By Glen Battilana "They say that the Third World War was an accident. Some say it was on purpose, others just don't really give a damn. But one thing was curtain, with the start of the war, meant the end of the world. It all started with a rogue Nuclear Missile, destroying Moscow. At the time however, the Russian cabinet was meeting in the capital, to discuss the slow, but steady build up of the weakened Russian economy. With the destruction of the Russian government, the seat of power was left wide open for any power hungry dictator to move in, which is what General Arkady Grishenko ( Ra-kde Grish-in-co ) did. He seized control of St Petersburg, making it the new capital of Russia, and without any warning, launched a Nuclear strike on all of Europe using the remaining nuclear missiles left over from the US strike, claiming that it was Russia's birth right, to rule the entire continent. The United States had tried to retaliated, but the automatic retaliation strike by the Russian Defense computer had destroyed most of the U.S., along with New York City and the United Nations Council. With the destruction of the UN, the world fell into chaos. Every nation around the world declared war not only on Russia, but on all of her allies as well. The whole war lasted no longer than month, thanks to the buildup of arms from the Cold War. In the end, the people of Russia decided that General Grishenko was insane, and the General disappeared for a week, before being found, hung upside down at a gas station, dead. With his death, the war was over, but it's memories had scarred the Earth forever. The whole world was one big radioactive dust ball. Once mighty nations now lay in ruins before the survivors. The people who were still alive at the war's end, hardly got the news of the General's death, some still thought the war was still going on. The few Killing Artificial Troopers who had survived the onslaught, declared that all humans were insane, and headed for the valleys to start a new life. Life as we knew it, seemed to cease altogether. Man's empire had passed away, taken swiftly, by the forces of Armageddon leaving nothing but a grave yard of bad memories. But even in a grave yard, life still continues......" The "North American Air Defense Command", Code name (NORAD) 2010...... In the dim light of his prison cell, the man in the grey uniform, with a serial number on his right pocket was reading a book. With the limited light source, he was reading a section of the Bible. The section was called… "The Wickedness of Mankind." "When the lord saw how wicked everyone on earth was and how evil their thoughts were all the time, he was truly sorry that he had ever made them and put them on the earth. He was so filled with regret that he said. "I will wipe out these people I have created, and also the animals and the birds, because I am sorry that I made any of them." The man smiled, a sly type smile, when he read his favourite passage. "But the lord was pleased with Noah." He saw himself as God. Punishing all mankind for their wickedness, for shunning him away, for humiliating him. And like the mighty fist of God, his wroth had descended upon mankind, and punished them for their crimes against him. He was the Apocalypse, sending his four horsemen against Mankind, War, Famine, Death, and Pestilence, well, maybe not pestilence, but close enough with the radioactive fall out. He then continued to read. "When Noah was six hundred years old, on the seventeenth day of the second month all the outlets of the vast body of water beneath the earth burst open, all the floodgates of the sky were opened, and rain fell on the earth for forty days and nights……." He skipped a few sections. "The flood continued for forty days, and the water became deep enough for the boat to float. The water became deeper, and the boat drifted on the surface. It became so deep that it covered the highest mountains; it went on rising until it was twenty - five feet above the tops of the mountains. Every living being on earth died - every bird, every animal, and every person……" The cell door opened with a loud clanking sound, and he put down his bible. The man in the dark green uniform, and the arm band on his arm that read MP looked in the cell, at the pathetic looking man in front of him. He was about 6 foot with long, light blond hair, nearly turned black from all the grim. His face was dark with stubble, and his eyes were narrowed to slits. "Robert Harlem Dillion." The MP said. The man just turned his head in the direction of the MP. He just looked him in the eyes, but said nothing. "This way." The MP said, indicating to the right. Robert got up, slowly, and proceeded to walk down the hallway, with four guards ether side of him. He wasn't walking very fast, mainly because he had leg and wrist chains on him, and they hurt. Robert gave the occasional glance at his four escorts, who only aimed their guns at his head, whenever he looked at them. After what seemed like forever, he finally reached a huge, metal door. The man in charge walked over to it, unlocked the huge door, and opened it. When it was fully opened, he pushed Robert inside. Robert nearly fell over, as he walked into the centre of the room, were the spot light was, and the electric chair. He walked up to the chair, and sat down. No sooner had he sat down, then guards were at his side, strapping him in, fitting the metal cap, one even spat in his face, but Robert said nothing. Finally, he was secure, and as quickly as they arrived, the guards left, disappearing into the darkness of the room. There was an eerie silence that followed next, it seemed to go for hours, but it was actually ten seconds. Then, the voice spoke. "Robert Harlem Dillion?" Robert turned his head in the direction of the voice. "The one and only." He replied. There was a pause, the voice continued. "You have been charged with genocide, untold counts of murder one, and betraying your country, and have been found guilty." "No shit sherlock." Robert answered back. "And you have been sentenced to death, by electrocution." One side of Robert's mouth went up. "shooking." He said with a smirk. "Before your sentence is carried out, do you have any last words?" Robert thought for a moment. "Why, yes I do." He said. He leaned as far forward as he could. "You'll never kill me, for I am pure evil, and as we all know, evil can not die, neither can good, but we can really piss them off. Evil can not exist without good, and good cannot exist without evil. They need each other as a natural balance. Try and destroy this evil, and it'll only come back and hunt you in another form. And as for genocide, I'm not interested in that option.....yet. I believe some one once said. History is on our side, weather you like it or not, we will bury you." He leaned back in the chair. "Zap me." Was all he said. "Very well." The voice said. "Give him what he wants." Robert heard a clicking sound, then he was filled with ten thousand volts of electricity. Five weeks earlier "Oh, I wouldn't worry about that." Robert said, getting up. "There's no one around here for miles, so there's no hurry about looking for it." Then he pushed a button. "Besides, my robots can pick it up some time later." He opened a door and began to walk out. He stopped suddenly. "Oh by the way. Since you're guests in my house, make your self comfortable, but stay out of my lab." He noticed that every one had gone quite. "Oh, don't worry about that. It's just that last time I had visitors here, one accidentally strayed into my lab and blew up an important project of mine." He shook his head and shuddered at the remembrance of that incident as he walked through the door. He walked down the hall to his lab. He needed to be there, when his robots brought him the missile Once he had it, he could sell it back to the United States at a high price, threatening to launch it on Washington. He walked down the steps, into his basement, which was his lab. "Greetings, Mr Dillion." Robert spun in the direction of the voice that just spoke. It was the Pastmaster. Robert spun towards the door, then back towards the Pastmaster. He pointed at him, mouth open in awe. "How did you, I mean, when did you......how did you get here. I left you back upstairs?" The Pastmaster smiled. "For a sorcerer, anything's easy." He jumped down from the bench he was sitting on, and walked over to Robert. "Your a....your a-a Wizard?" Robert asked. The Pastmaster nodded. "You can perform magic?" The Pastmaster nodded again. Robert placed his hand on his for head. "I must be going crazy." The Pastmaster shook his head. "Believe me Mr Dillion, you are most certainly not." Robert just looked at the Pastmaster in front of him for a few moments. "What do you want with me?" He asked. The Pastmaster jerked his head in the direction of the opening garage door. He watched as the robots, carrying the missile came down the ramp, and into the lab. "That nuclear missile." He said. "You will launch it at Moscow." Robert's eyes went wide. "Are you crazy!?" He shouted. "Russia is the second largest nuclear power in the world. To start a war with them would trigger the Apocalypse, Armageddon, Doomsday, the end of the world. Why, we're talking Nuclear Holocaust." The Pastmaster nodded. "Exactly." Robert gave him a funny look. "You want me to kill mankind, all for revenge?" The Pastmaster cut him off there. "Not just for revenge my dear boy, but for power." Robert decided to shut up, this was getting interesting. "Behold!" he shouted. He created a time vortex with his watch. "What the hell is that?!" Robert cried. "The gateway, to your future." the Pastmaster cried out, and pulled him into the vortex...... "So, what do we do with the body?" One of the guards asked as they wheeled the trolley down the hall way. The other one shrugged. "Dump it out on the surface, and let the radiation do it's job." They both shrugged, that sounded like a proper burial for that piece of scum. "Excuse me, boys." Both guards turned to see a woman with blond hair, and dressed in a military uniform, walking up to them. She had a great body, and she was giving the guards a sly look. "Uh......y-yes?" one stammered, as she brushed past him. "But, I think that the furnace down in the lower part of the complex needs some more fuel." She gave them both the helpless little girl look. "Can I borrow this for the job? Please?" The other guard breathed in to make himself look tough. "Why surtanly mamma." He said. She smiled, and gave him a big kiss. She took the trolley with the body bag on it, and wheeled it away down the hall, giving the guards one last wink. As she turned around the corner, she began to spit, and wipe her mouth. "Yuck," she complained. "The things a woman has to do to get her lover back." She looked down at the body bag. "You owe me big time, Bobby." Lucy Orr sat in her arm chair, watching t.v. when the phone rang. She looked at the time, it was ten at night. Who could be ringing at this time. She grumbled as she picked up the phone. "If this isn't somebody I know, I'm hanging up." She said. "Lucy." She recognised the voice immediately, it was Robert. "Hi Robert." she said, putting on her best voice. "Have you decided when we're going to get married?" "Not yet, cutie." He said. She frowned. "However, I've just been introduced to my future, and I love it." "Have you been smoking pot, Robert?" Lucy asked. "No Lucy." He said. "I haven't, nor have I been taking speed, heroine, crack, or any other drug for that matter, but I just want you to listen, we're about to become the most powerful beings in reality." Lucy had no idea what he was on about, but she decided it was worth a listen. "O.k." She said. "What do you want me to do?" An Underground Bunker, 250 miles South West of Chicago, Three weeks and Two days Pro-war.... The room was huge. That was Lucy's impression as she walked into the room. It was filled with computers, chemicals, and robotics machinery. She walked into the room, and turned around to her two followers. "Place him in that tube, boys." She said to the two men carrying in the body bag. "Ya know, Bill." One of the two said. "For a dead guy, he sure is heavy." The other one grunted. "Just shut your trap, Fred, and put him in the tube, like the lady asked." They both heaved the body up onto a table, paused, then they unzipped the body bag, pulled out the body, and dumped it, feet first into the tube filled with a white coloured liquid. The moment they did, they slammed the lid down shut, and breathed a sigh of relief. "Phew." Bill said. "What a SMELL." Fred just shook his head. "Why do dead people have to stink so much?" Lucy smiled, as she walked up to the tube, and rubbed her hand against the glass, where Robert's face could be seen. "I pray this stuff works, lover," she said softly. Fred looked at Lucy. "So." He asked. "When does dead boy here start to rise from the grave?" "It's not that simple, like you see on t.v." Lucy snapped at him. "The regenerative liquid needs a few days to settle in, repair the damaged organs, get everything on line again for regeneration." Fred backed off. "Sorry." He said sarcastically. Lucy sighed. "It doesn't matter." She said. "I'm not paying you to think, I'm paying you to help us out." Then, she changed the subject. "How many were you able to recruit?" Fred opened his note book. "Uhhhhh- five-ten-twelve, uhhh....." He flipped over a page, then raised his head from his note book. "Nineteen." He said. Lucy smiled. "Nineteen?" She said with a smile. "I'm impressed." Fred smiled as he put away his note book. "Well." He said. "It was rather easy, once I presented their end of the agreement." Bill suddenly got up. "So, when do we start?" Lucy looked over at the tube. "The moment my honey-bunny comes back from the Twilight Zone." Eight Days later, abroad the International Space Station.... Commander Robert Boucher of the International Space Station stared out the window. He was staring at the Earth below him. He sighed, and closed his eyes. A tear ran down his check. Luckily nobody saw it, and he went back to what he was originally doing. Trying to keep the last remaining humans alive. Ever since the end of the nuclear war, they had been losing contact with Earth, at first, one space centre, then another, and another, until, they lost contact with Houston. Then, all the radio stations in America, the ones that hadn't been destroyed in the war, started going off line. Then, no transmissions from Earth could be picked up anymore. The air waves for the first time since the invention of the radio, were silent. He drew his hands though his short brown hair, and sat against the wall. He then pushed himself off the wall, and in the zero gravity of space, he glided down the corridor. "Commander!" He turned to see a kat floating towards him. He had orange fur, with light brown hair. He floated up next to the Commander and stopped himself. "Yes, Alpha." the kat grabbed hold of a nearby pipe, to keep himself from floating away. "A shuttle from Earth is approaching." The Commander smiled. "Yes!" he shouted, and did a somersault on the spot. "I knew we could never be killed." He clapped his hands, and flew off down the corridor, laughing all the way. "This is shuttle Discovery, calling the International Space station, do you come in, over?" The radio operator happily grabbed the mike, and switched it on. "This is the International Space Station, we read you Discovery, over." "Great. Good to see you guys still alive, can we have docking procedures now, over?" "Sure thing, Discovery - we'll bring you in, over." The radio operator gave the coordinates to the shuttle, and they docked by the air lock. The whole crew of the space station were laughing all the way down to the air lock. However, when it opened, they all stopped. "Thank you for letting us aboard, now, DON'T MOVE!!" shouted the man in the space suit, holding the .38. The crew backed off from the door, allowing the stranger in the suit, to come out, with six of his other friends. The last one who came out, took off his helmet. "Who are you?" Boucher said. Robert said nothing. "Could you kindly point my men in the direction of the control room?" One of the personnel pointed down the corridor. "Straight down, and make a right." He said. Robert smiled. "Thank you." He headed down the corridor. "Kill them," he said as he turned a corner. As he climbed his way through the station, he ignored the sound of gun shots, and screams. As he climbed along the walls, he mumbled something to himself, and began counting. "3, 2, 1, 0." Suddenly, powerful hands threw him against the wall. He spun around to face a kat. You can't kill me, human." The kat said. "I'm invincible." Robert smiled. "I created you lad." He said. The kat looked at him funny. "I know your weaknesses." And with that, he took out what looked like a stun gun, and pushed a button on the side. Two small projectiles with string attached, shot out of it, and imbedded themselves into the kat's chest. The kat was suddenly filled with ten thousand volts of electricity. Robert watched him spin away down the corridor, occasionally sparking. "It's really good to do something when you know what's going to happen." He said, with a smirk on his face. Finally, he reached the control room. "Now." He said. "If I remember correctly, it's this button." He pushed a button, and the rocket booster lights came on. "Yes." He cried. He pushed a few more buttons. There was a slight roar, as the rockets fired, and began moving the Space Station along. Smiling, he climbed his way back to the others, who had by now, taken care of the whole personnel on board the ship. "What happens now darling?" Lucy asked her lover as he floated towards the group. "Daniel?" The man known as Daniel looked up. "Do you remember how to use freezing chambers. He nodded. "Good, cause you're about to have a little nap." Daniel looked at him. "How long is a little?" Robert smiled. "Three million years." Daniel's eyes went wide. "Are you sure the station will be around that long?" Robert nodded. "Once we draw all the oxygen out of the station, you have nothing to fear. Because without any chemicals in the air, to break down, and decompose, the space station will survive three million years, without fear of breaking up." "What will I do for air when I wake up?" Robert smacked Daniel's head. "The reserve tanks, you idiot. But don't worry, they'll kick in, and fill the station with air, before you wake." And with that, Daniel headed off, for his three million year snooze. Robert turned back to the rest. "You all have your assessments I trust." They all nodded. "Good." he said, heading back for the air lock. "See you all in three million years." "Hay boss." One of the men called out. Robert turned to face the man with blond hair, pulled back in a pony tail. "Are we really going to sleep for three million years?" Robert nodded. "Scared my boy?" The man nodded. "Well, don't you worry, Mr Robert has everything under control." And with that, he headed back inside the shuttle, and prepared to head back for earth. When they were all heading back to earth, Lucy decided to ask a question that was on her mind. "Bobby?" She said. Robert turned in her direction, presenting her with a loving smile. "Yes, my love?" He said. "If we're all going to sleep for three million years, how are we going to escape decay?" Robert smiled. "The moment we touch down, were heading for a little underground location, northwest of New York city." "What do you hope to find there, that will make sure we'll still be around for three million years?" Robert laughed out loud. "An old friend." An Underground Bunker, Northwest of New York City. The MP ran though the corridors of the huge complex. He had his auto-matic pistol drawn, but he wasn't firing it, in fact he was fleeing for his life. He had long discarded his white helmet with the big MP written on it in black. He was clutching his left shoulder. It had been shot, and he was bleeding badly. His brown hair was a mess. He finally reached his destination. He opened the door, and closed it again. He turned to the row of six tubes, filled with a pinkish coloured liquid. He looked at the one with the man in his late forties in it. President John Wassaw. He saluted that tube. "I'm the only one left to protect you sir." He said proudly. "Wish me luck." Suddenly, his eyes went wide, he moaned softly, and fell over, with a bullet imbedded into his skull. Lucy stepped forward, to admire her handiwork, still holding her gun with the silencer. Robert came up beside her. "Honey, you're so good with that thing." He kissed her on the lips. She smiled. "You should see me in bed Romeo." She growled playfully. Robert smiled. "Not yet, darling." He turned towards the six tubes. "For now, it's time to see an old friend of mine." He looked at all the tubes, until, he found the one he was looking for. "Who's this loser, hon." Lucy asked as Robert stopped by one of the tubes. Robert smiled. "His name's Hugh Savier." One of Lucy's eye brows went up. "Savier?" She said. "As in 'Savier the Saviour.' The guy who invented the AIDS vaccine?" Robert laughed at that comment. "The one and only." He said with a chuckle. Lucy took another look at Savier. "You knew him?" Robert turned towards her. "Sure." He said. "A while back, he was part of the original team who first worked on project K.A.T." Then his face drooped into one of false disappear. "But then he decided to quit. Told me I was to inhumane, using living creatures to fight, and kill one another." His face turned to a snarl. "Bah! What would he know, I was saving countless human lives, for the first time in history, when a war was fought, it wasn't man Vs man. Man killing his own brother, and sister, nor his mother, or father. No. It was fought by someone else." Lucy smiled. "Kinda like that cartoon years ago, Pokemon." Robert smiled again. "Yes, except we use our Pokemon to fight our wars, instead of our arguments." He placed his hand on the tubes, and brought it back, covered in some sort of slime. "So, he finally did it." He looked at the slime on his hand. He watched it slide around his hand, then he shook his hand free of the disgusting liquid. "Did what?" Lucy asked. "Hugh had this crazy idea, that he could use certain chemicals to prevent decay, and break down of materials over years of time, so they'd still be here for after millions of years." Lucy cocked her head to one side. "Huh?" "It works in the same way space. By mixing different chemicals together, Hugh created a liquid that totally rejects decaying elements, kinda like two positively charged ions, rejecting each other." Lucy just nodded her head, and smiled. She really had no idea what he just said. "So why are we here?" She asked. Robert picked up some of the slime with his finger. "This." He said. "This stuff will make sure we'll still be around in three million years." He clicked his fingers. "Boys." His hired goons came in, and began taking some of the stored barrels away. Robert turned back to the sleeping Savier. "You don't mind if I borrow your invention do you Hugh?" The motionless man just bobbed in the liquid. Robert grinned from ear to ear. "I thought you wouldn't." He turned back to his men, who were taking some of the barrels down the hall way. "Be careful with that stuff, I don't want any accidents on the way out, you spill one drop of that stuff, and you ass is mine. And DON'T fucking step on that tile again!" As he walked out the door, he clapped his hands twice, and the lights went out. A Ship in Orbit Around Earth, 2055. The creature looked out the viewing window at the planet before him. I use the word creature, because this creature wasn't exactly human, in fact, it had never been a human. He had dark army green scales. He had four arms, and what looked like black dreadlocks hanging down behind his head. He had a mouth like a crocodile, filled with razor sharp teeth. His eyes were bright red, and his legs were short, but stocky, with two toes sticking out from his feet. He stared at the world in front of him. Just then, another creature, of similar description approached him from behind. "Sir." The creature hissed. "The crew and I are rather concerned about our location. This planet we now orbit, is located in the forbidden sector. If we're caught here, we'll be surely punished." His eye turrets swiveled towards the planet in front of him. "Plus I've also heard the natives of this planet aren't that technologically dumb, and they'll be able to destroy us." The creature tuned towards his addresser. "Xaron." He said calmly. "I do know the point of our location, and the results if we are caught, but..." He held up a finger claw. "The planet's natives, have destroyed themselves, thus posing no threat to our operations. So..." He pointed towards the planet in front of the two of them. "It makes it ripe for the picking." Xaron smiled. "With artifacts from another culture in our position, just think of the price we could put on them, if they were auctioned off on the black market." "You think of everything Mour." Xaron said. But Mour turned his eye turret away. "Alas." He said. "If we'd only thought of this earlier. For already, this planet was been sacked, I just hope, they didn't steal all of the good stuff." Megakat City, 3002005 AD, 10:04 p.m. In the dark of the night, one car drives down the lonely stretch of road. It is raining heavily, but the driver doesn't care. He has more important things to worry about. Finally. He pulls over, stops the car, and gets out. His short blond hair is soaked in the downpour of the rain. His grey trench coat that he has on gives him little protection. He walks towards the gate, marked, Megakat Cemetery. He walks inside, and looks around. His eyes come to rest on two graves. He walks over to them, and stands in front of them, his head hanging down. He reads from left to right. The first one reads. "Roger Train, born 1975, died 2009. 'He was our friend'." The second one reads "David Sankowski, born 1970, died 3002005. "He was loved by all'." Troy Smith put a rose down by each grave. "Hay guys." He started. "How's things been?" He pointed to the roses. "I hope you like them, Helen got them especially for you both." He breathed a heavy sigh. "Things have been tough lately. Helen gave birth to our baby girl, two weeks ago, here names Share. Oh boy, has she been a hassle. Anyway, the President, sends his regards too. And David, he doesn't blame you for the missile, he blames Robert, and if it'll make you fell better, he had the son of a bitch fired. In fact, he congratulates you for trying, and if you were still alive, he'd give you the conditional medal of honour." He turned towards Rogers grave. "Hay Roge." He said. "I know it's too late for this now, but, I know, when you were alive, you had your eye on my watch for quite some time. And even though it's a bit too late..." He took off his watch, and dropped it onto the grave. "....but here you go." He smiled, laughing silently to himself. "Well, I've gotta get back now, or they'll start to worry about me." He laughed out loud. "Ya know, it's worse than being in the army, the short leave, is REALLY short, and if you're not back by the precise time they give you, they nearly put the whole damn city on red alert." He smiled, again. "Well, see ya." And with that, he turned around, and headed back to the car. The moment the car pulled away from the cemetery, another figure stepped out from the shadows. The figure walked up to the graves, and picked up the watch. "How very touching Mr Smith." Robert Dillion said. "Enjoy your good life, while it lasts." He crushed the watch in his hand. Nine Months ago..... "Yes, I'm sure that's everything I know, and there's nothing I'm hiding from you." He looked up, and over at the large mirror on his left. "Oh by the way." He pointed at the mirror. "Who's been watching us all the time thought there?" Feral looked at the mirror, and back at David. Behind the mirror, five kats were watching. They were the head of the whole Defense organisation of the Western Continent. The one with grey fur, and black hair, wearing a brown military uniform snorted. "Smart thing, isn't he." He said. The kat standing beside him nodded. "Yes, I suppose he is." This kat had brown fur and blond hair, he wore a blue uniform. "That definitely shows signs of intelligence." The kat behind him spoke up. "Is that fact that he can read, write and speak, or that he knows the tricks of the trade?" This kat had a grey uniform, like Feral's, with orange fur, and brown hair. "I find it hard to believe that such a creature like that, could evolve." This kat wore a white uniform. He had caramel fur, with blond hair. "I mean, it has no fur, how does it cope with extreme colds?" "Who knows." One kat said. This kat was wearing a green uniform. His fur was brown, and his hair, dark brown. He smiled slyly. "Who knows." Under his breath, so that the others couldn't hear him, he added. "I know somebody who does." Later that day…. "I'm afraid that's classified information Ms. Briggs. I have my orders." "From the kats who are denying David his bale?" she asked. Feral's eyes narrowed to slits. "Like I said before, that'll be all, Ms. Briggs." Callie growled, and stormed out of Feral's office. When she was gone, Feral picked up the phone. He punched in a few numbers, and leaned back in his chair. "Yes this is Feral." He said into the phone. "Tell Gorge I have something he might be interested in." "Uh hu, uh hu, yes, that'll be all Commander Feral." Gorge said. And with that, he put down the phone. He smiled, a sly smile. He straightened up his blue tie, and began to walk out of his office. His fur was brown, and his hair was dark brown. He wore a blue business suit, and wore a pair of dark glasses. He walked out of his office, turning to his security. "Hold all my calls, Miss Brown." He said to her. "Ok, Mr Brownlee." She said. "Will do." He caught the elevator to the car parking level, and drove to a deserted building, in the run down area of down. He got out, locked his door, and took a quick glance at the low lives around him. He walked down an alley, and stopped at a door, a huge metal door, with a slit on it. He knocked three times, slowly, then three times fast. The slit opened, even though no one could be seen, he knew someone was there. "Password?" The man on the other said asked. Gorge sarcastically smiled. "Let me in you asshole, or I'll break your nose in several places." The man on the other side, laughed. "Close enough." The was a loud clanking sound, as the huge metal door, heaved open. The human on the other side, smiled at him. Even though his long blond hair that hung down by his shoulders, he still didn't worry about his hair covering his face. The kat smiled back, and walked inside. He walked through the building, finally coming to a room, with a desk, and a chair in it. The figure on the other side, was covered in darkness. "Why are you here Gorge?" He asked. The kat smiled. "They're here." Was all he said. Robert Dillion leaned out of the shadows, and grinned. "Finally." He said. "I was beginning to get bored. But it was worth the wait." He leaned back in his chair. "I just wish I could have found something to do, while we waited." He looked back at Gorge. "does your man know what to do?" Gorge nodded. Robert smiled. "Excellent. Just like clock work. Now all we've got to do, between now, and nine months, is let history take it's course." Pumadyne, Two days later... David Gibb, got out of the helicopter, and began to walk away with his commando unit. He took a glance back at the helicopter, as the Enforcers were escorting the two humans towards the buildings. He watched the other enforcers take the body bag, containing the dead human, the one he shot, and killed. He looked down at his gun, the gun that had killed it. He caught a ride back to base, filled out the necessary paper work, and headed home. However, he wasn't heading there, he headed to an old deserted building, the same one, his boss, Gorge Brownlee had been to. He entered the building the same way he did, and headed for the very same room. "Bout time you showed up." The man said. "How did it go?" The kat smiled. "Couldn't have gone any better." The kat said. "Did you kill him? The kat nodded. "He's dead." Robert smiled. "That was very good acting you pulled off there, Mr Gibb." David frowned. "How did you know what I did?" Robert smiled. "Lets just say, a friend of mine, showed me everything, beforehand." Then he brought out the suit case, and put it down on the desk. "Here you go, just as promised." David opened the case, and smiled at all the green bills, shining back at him. "Two million, just as promised." David grinned at Robert, then carried his case outside. Robert watched him leave, then he sat down. "Now." He said. "What can I do for five months?" Pumadyne, the Present Day..... Troy Smith held his baby daughter in his arms. She wore a small blue dress, and her hair was starting to show though. Helen Smith smiled at her daughter as well. Share giggled, as Troy began tickling her. "Who's a beautiful girl, huh, who's a beautiful girl?" Share giggled again. Troy smiled at her, and handed Share back to her mother. "You know." He said to Helen. "She has your eyes." Helen smiled. "She has your face, darling." Troy grinned. "Don't insult me." He said with an evil looking smile. Helen laughed. "And how are the two proud parents today?" They both turned to see Roy Smith walking in. "Happy." Helen said. Troy checked his pulse. "Alive." he said, still grinning. Helen hit him playfully. Roy chuckled. "Ahh, love is truly in the air. The Lord has blessed you both with a beautiful child, and you two are more happier than Adam and Eve." They both smiled back at Roy. Everyone was silent in the room for about five seconds, then they all burst out laughing, for no apparent reason what so ever. Probably they were just laughing because they wanted to, or maybe, it was the new hope, of the rebirth of the human race, with the start of a child. Like the birth of Jesus, this new child would bring hope, to what was left of the human race. Suddenly, Roy stopped laughing. He looked around the room. Helen, and Troy were still laughing, but they hadn't noticed Roy yet. Roy couldn't quite explain it, but some how, in the mist of his joy, he'd experienced a bad vibe in the air, the passing of the wind, something, in the air, didn't seem quite right. He looked around the room once more. He didn't know how to put it, but he felt that something was coming, something of pure evil. Something that would destroy there lives. But, then it was gone. Roy couldn't feel that presence any more. So he left the room, still confused, as to what had actually happened to him in that room. Was the Lord trying to send him a message, trying to warn him of something. The South West end of the former Island of Britain, Two Days Later.... James Cameron drove down the Streets of Port Moranda City. He was an Enforcer, and damn proud of it. His partner Lisa Robertson. She was an Enforcer too. Both their hair colour, was brown, Lisa had a light yellow shine to her fur, and James had a dull grey colour to his. They both drove along to road, in silence. "What's that?" Lisa asked. James looked around. "What's what?" She pointed over to the left hand side of the street. She pointed at a figure, in a huge trenchcoat, walking slowly, down the streets, looking at the buildings. "That." Lisa said. "It looks as if he's lost, or he could be a burglar." James smiled to himself, some action at last. He pulled up beside the kat walking down the street. "Can I help you sir?" James asked. The kat didn't show his face, but just mumbled a no. "Are you lost?" Lisa asked. "No." Came the reply." "Are you looking for something?" The kat was getting pissed off. "No!" Came the sharp reply. "Are you waiting for someone?" James asked. The kat stopped dead in his tracks. "Look." He said. "What part of 'go away' don't you understand?" They were convinced he was a burglar. "Can I see some kind of identification please sir?" The kat thought for a moment, then replied. "I don't have it on me at the moment." "Can I at least see your face?" The kat jerked away, trying to cover his already dark face with his collar. "NO! I mean, My face was scarred years ago, in an accident, you won't like it." "Surprise me." James said. "I don't want to." James and Lisa were now both convinced. James turned to Lisa. "This guy's got to be a crim." He whispered. She nodded, and he nodded, and they both got out of the car. The kat began to back off. "Sir." Lisa said. "I insist that you accompany my partner and I down to the station, for a few questions." "NO!" The kat yelled, and turned tail, and bolted down the street. "Can I pick 'em, or what." James said, as he and Lisa took of after him. They followed the kat though the alleyways, always keeping just behind him. The chase went on for a few minutes, before, the kat ran into a dead end. "Why don't you just save us the trouble and admit to whatever crime you just pulled off." The kat turned around, and pulled out a gun, and fired at the two Enforcers. "SHIT!!" Lisa screamed. "He's armed." They both drew their guns, and returned fire at the kat. The kat was hit in the chest, and the arm. He fell over without a sound. "This is unit 45." James spoke into his radio. "We've got an downed armed suspect, in a possible break in, request backup." They both approached the kat, weapons still drawn, in case, he was still kicking. "Not quite the excitement I could have done with tonight." Lisa said. James got his first good look at the kat. "Would you get a look at this." He said. He shone the torch on the kat's face. Lisa gasped. "That's not a kat." She said. "What the hell is that thing?" James got a closer look. "I-I think it's a human." He said. Lisa gave him a strange look. "A what?!" She said. "A human." James said. "Don't you watch the news?" Lisa thought for a moment. "You know, those furless creatures from Megakat City, on the Northwest continent." Lisa took another look at the creature. "That's it?" She said. James walked up to him, and placed, two fingers on his neck. "Well, he's a dead it now." James said, getting up. He gave Lisa a worried look. "We kill him." Nineteen Hours later.... "I have no idea who that guy is Commander." Troy said, handing him back the photo of the dead man. "You're the eighth human to say that to me Troy, I thought you of all humans would know him." "What makes you think I would know him?" "Well." Feral said. "After all, he is of your kind." Troy shook his head. "Just because we're human, doesn't mean we automatically know every human that ever existed." "Well, Commander Smith." Feral said. "Consider the current human population of the earth at the moment, compared with the current kat population of the earth. Our population is eighteen million, and the human population, nine." He crossed his arms. "It would kinda of narrow it down a bit." "Commander." Troy said. "You must remember, that for nearly five months, you thought, Helen and I were the last humans alive, but still, more survived." "Are you saying there could have been another lost shuttle, or another under ground bunker with sleep tubes in it?" "I very much doubt it." "But there are possibilities." The Commander interrupted. "I'm not going to argue with you Commander, after all, you and I are of equal rank." "Yes, but the military you worked for, no longer exists, to everybody else in this world, that title, is just a name." "You believe what you want, all I can tell you is that I've never meet this guy, before, or after the war." Troy said. "That's all I can tell you about him." Feral took the photo back, and put in away in his coat. "Thank you for your time, Mr Smith." Feral said. Troy watched Feral leave. He thought for a moment. The possibility that more humans surveyed that holocaust. Maybe an entire city, of underground humans, like in that movie, 'Beneath the Planet of the Apes.' But they were all mutated by radiation. Even if humans did survive like that, they would have evolved beyond his comprehension, and he probably wouldn't recognise that they ever were human. Megakat City, West side.... The first thing Robert saw when he walked in though the door, was everyone's down looking faces. "I know." He said. "Cameron is dead." They all looked up at him with surprise. "He wanted to visit England again, just to see what it now looked like." They all gave him a funny look. "How did you know all that?" Fred asked. Robert smiled. "I know everything. And it's best if you don't ask." They all shrugged, and went back to their business. Lucy came up from behind Robert, and began to rub his shoulders. "Does this little stunt jeopardize everything, love chunks?" She said. Robert sighed. "No, not really, this just means, that our little plan is about to be put into operation. The fool should have just come straight back once he finished the job, but nooo. Trust him to do a little sightseeing." He went over to his desk, and pushed a small button. The book case suddenly began to move, and it slid back to reveal, what looked like a huge radio. "So." Lucy said, as Robert began to turn it on. "We're going to give Daniel his wake up call." "Sure am." Robert said. "Do you think I should tell him that he really wasn't asleep for all that time. That I went back in time to get him?" Lucy shook her head. "No." She said. "It'll just confuse him." Robert nodded, then he took out a photograph. The photo contained four humans, all posing for the shot. From left to right, there was a male human, with short, brown hair, he had a brown moustache, on his jump suit, was the name, Sankowski. Next to him, was a human in a similar jump suit, but he lacked a moustache, and he had red hair. His name tag read, Train. Next to him, was a female, with short blond hair, cut off around the neck. Here name tag read, Summers. Finally, the last human had short brown hair, and his name tag read, Smith. All four humans stood proudly, with the N.A.S.A. back drop behind them. The humans who were called Train, and Sankowski, had big black crosses on their faces. With his finger, Robert tapped on the human, who was called, Smith. "You're next." He said. The Next Day... Troy was wandering around the grounds of Pumadyne, when the kat ran up to him. "Commander Smith, Commander Smith." he was calling out. Troy stopped walking and turned around, to see a kat with orange fur, and brown hair running up to him. He was wearing blue jeans, and a red shirt, he wore a white lab coat over these clothes. The kat stopped running when he reached Troy, and began panting heavily. The name tag on the coat read, Frederick. "Yes?" Troy said, looking down at the kat. He caught his breath, and looked up at Troy. "Commander." The kat wheezed. "I've been looking all over the complex for you, your wife told me that you'd be out here." "And?" "And, a group of excavationers, had just uncovered something, they can't identify, we have reason to believe, it might be from the human era." Troy smiled. All the kats were calling the period of human rule, the human era. Helen thought it was cute. "And you want me to identify it right? Why does everyone pick on me around here?" He waved his hands all around the place. "There are nine other people to choose from, and out of those nine, everyone comes to me." "Well Commander Smith, your wife didn't want to go, because she was looking after your child, and the other reason is, they found something called N.A.S.A." Troy's right eyebrow went up. "O.k. o.k." He said. "I'll come." The kat's eyes lit up. "Wonderful." He turned away from Troy, as if running to get something. "By the way, you might want to pack a few things, we've got a long trip ahead of us." "What? Where are we going?" "Down the coast of the continent, somewhere near the middle." Troy shook his head. It made sense now, where they found that thing from N.A.S.A. They were heading for the former state of Texas. A Bumpy Week Later...... "Commander Smith, wake up." Troy woke to someone shaking his shoulder. "We're here." Troy rubbed the sleep out of his eyes, and looked out the windscreen. He could only make out shapes, but he blinked them into focus. "What the?" He said. He rubbed his eyes some more, then shook his head. With his jaw hanging open, Troy stepped out of the car, and stared in awe, at the N.A.S.A. Space complex. Sure it was a little destroyed, but it was still intact. The whole centre was in a valley, surrounded by mountains. Troy couldn't believe his eyes. This didn't make sense. How could the Space centre still be here after all this time. Surely it would have crumbled to dust, centuries ago. Just then, something else caught his eye. There were no other kats around. He and Frederick were the only ones there. Where was this excavation team he said was there? "Yo Frederick." He said turning around. "Where's this ex....hay, where are you going?!" Frederick was driving away, leaving Troy stranded in the middle of nowhere. "Come back, come b....." "Don't bother, Mr Smith." An echoy voice called out. "He isn't coming back." The voice came over the PTA system. Smith turned around. That off all things, shouldn't be still working. The voice was slowed, so he couldn't recognise who it was. "How do you know my name?" Troy called out. "Never mind that." The voice said. "Come into the centre." Troy hesitated a bit, then he slowly began to walk through the gate, and onto the Centre grounds. "That's a good boy." The voice said. "Who are you?" Troy called out. There was silence, then a low snicker could be heard. Then it turned into chuckling, then the voice exploded into laugher. Suddenly, it stopped without warning. "I'm an old friend." Troy was now turning in circles. "If you're a friend. Why don't you show yourself?" "All in due time Mr Smith." The voice continued. "In the meantime, what do you think?" "Think of what?" Troy asked. "The Space Centre." The voice said. "I've kept it neat and tidy, for your return." "How could someone have kept this place neat and tidy, for three million years?" "That's my little secret Troy." The voice sounded right behind him. Troy spun around, and came face to face with the person he least expected to see. Robert Dillion. His long light blond hair had been shaved off, looked like a number two haircut. He wore black glasses, and a black trench coat. Troy backed off. "Surprised to see me Troy?" Robert said. "I know I am." "How-how can you be here?" Troy stammered. You're supposed to be in the twenty first century, your supposed to be on earth, three million years ago. You're supposed to be DEAD!!" Troy screamed that last word out. It echoed all around the long abandoned Space Centre. "As you can see, Troy, the reports of my untimely demise were somewhat exaggerated." He chuckled softly. "But now I'm back, and we can continue our little game." Troy grabbed for Dillion. "You think this is a game, Dillion." He growled charging at him. "IT'S NOT!!" However, Troy sailed right through him, and landed face first in the dirt. Robert wasn't laughing, nor was he smiling. "Having trouble keeping that temper of yours under control, Troy?" He said. "Afraid you might lash out at me and kill me." He walked towards Troy. "I know your little secret Troy, you're afraid to kill another human being." Troy looked at him. "How did you know that." A sly smile began to creep over Robert's face. "Oh." He said, tossing his hands slightly into the air. "I have the time to look into these things." He began to smile even wider. "In fact, you might say, I have all the time in the world." "How did you pull of that trick, when I went right through you?" Robert smacked his head. "Imbecile." He barked at him. "This is merely a holographic projection of my image. I'm elsewhere." Troy slowly began to get up. "What do you want?" Robert's smile dropped from his face. "That which I've always wanted Troy. I want you to know that there is nothing you can do to stop me." His face turned into a snarl. "I want you ruined. I want your family ruined. As you ruined mine....and as you ruined my good name. Nothing else will do." "Is this what it's all about?" Troy cried out. "Revenge? You slept three million years just to take out your anger on ME?!" Robert smiled. "Not just you, the entire human race." He began pacing. "They ruined me, I helped them though the toughest moments of the twenty-first century, stopped man from killing man, and how do they repay me? A big fat reward would be nice, or even lunch in the White House. NO! What do I get, rejection, humiliation, my business ruined. My mother said to me, if you ever want to get somewhere in this world, never let anyone get away with anything." He stopped pacing, and smiled at Troy. "Let's play a little game. It's called revenge, it starts right now, and it only has one rule. I win, and you lose." And with that, he walked up to Troy, and threw some purple power in his face. Troy suddenly felt as if he'd been away for days. His eyes began to drop, and the laughing figure of Robert Dillion disappeared before him. He woke up in a room of total darkness. Everything around him was black. "Hello?" He called out. No one answered, not even an echo. Suddenly, a door papered out of no were. Then another, and another. Suddenly, before he could realise what was happening, he was in a hall wall. A black hallway, with no ceiling, no walls, and no floors, just row upon row, of doors. Each door beckoned him. But he secretly knew, he could only pick, one. He walked up to one, but didn't open it. He walked up to another, but didn't open it. Suddenly, Robert Dillion was beside him. He was carrying a hand string puppet of Troy. "You're going to do things, MY way." Robert said. He started making the puppet walk, and suddenly, Troy found himself walking, walking towards one door. "Simon says, open it." Troy opened the door, and looked out into nothing. Just then, Roger Train appeared beside him. Then he was pushed from behind, by Robert Dillion, and he fell, screaming, down, into what looked like a face, a screaming face, from that painting, the Scream. Roger fell screaming into the painting's mouth. Then, David was next to him. Robert laughed, and pushed David over the edge as well. He too fell screaming into the wide open mouth. Suddenly, Robert grabbed him from behind. He brought his face next to Troy's. His face was that of pure evil. "You're next." And he pushed him. "NNNOOOOOOO!!" Troy screamed, as he sat bolt upright. He was panting heavily. He was covered in sweat. "Troy?" He heard Helen call out. "Are you awake?" Helen was suddenly beside him. He blinked his eyes, and the room finally came into focus. Helen was holding his hand. Behind her, he could see Commander Feral, John Wassaw, and some she kat he'd never seen before. "Who are you?" Troy said to the she kat. She had caramel coloured fur, with blond hair, tied up in a pony tail. She wore black glasses. "I'm Dr Rose." She said. "I'm in charge of all human medical attention." Troy nodded. "Where have you been for the past week, lad?" John asked. "One day you're wandering around the grounds, the next, you disappear, for just over a week, and then you turn up on our door steps, looking like something the c....." He stopped at what he was saying, and gave the kats standing next to him, a sorry look. "Never mind." Feral stepped in. "We would all like to know where you disappeared to Commander Smith." "I took a trip down to Texas." John and Helen stared at him in shook. "TEXAS?!" They both cried out. "Yes Texas." Troy said, annoyed at being interrupted. "I would have been back sooner, if not for your Dr Frederick, dumping me out there, without a ride home." Feral gave him a funny look. "Who?" He asked. "You know, Dr Frederick." Troy said. "Orange fur, brown hair, this big." Feral looked at Dr Rose, and she looked at Feral, then they both turned back to Troy. "Commander." Feral said. "There's no one of that description working here." Troy was stunned. "But he said he talked to everyone, said he was looking for me, he even asked you dear." Troy said, pointing at Helen. Helen gave him a funny look. "But, last week, no kat came up to me, asking where they might find you." He turned to John. "Not with me either lad." John said. Troy couldn't believe it. "While I was there, I also found the N.A.S.A. Space Centre still intact." "That's impossible!" Wassaw cried out. "So did I, but there it was." Then another thought flashed into his mind. "There was also someone else there as well. Dillion. Robert Dillion." John frowned at Troy though his glasses. "Troy." He said, softly. "I don't mean to call you a liar, but, Robert is dead. I had the bastard fried three million years ago. There wouldn't be any trace left of his corpse after that period of time." "With all due respect sir, I know he was there, I know what I saw." "And, so do I!" John cried out. "With all due respect, I saw it to. I was there when they killed him. I ordered it. I gave the command. I watched him DIE!" John spat out the last word. "Robert is dead, Commander. There is no way in hell he could have survived. And for the love of God, let's keep it that way." John turned around, and stormed out of the room. "What's his problem?" Feral said, watching the man leave, very fast. "You wouldn't understand Commander." Troy said. "You weren't in charge of a whole nation, and saw it die in front of your very eyes." Feral then turned back to Troy. "If what you say is true, then I'll have some units check it out." "Please do that, Commander." Troy said. And with that, Feral left the room. "Try to get some rest, Mr Smith." Dr Rose said to him. "When we found you, you were very dehydrated." "I'll keep that in mind." Troy said. Helen turned to Dr Rose. "Would you mind if I asked you to leave, Because I'd like to have a private chat with my husband." Rose shook her head, and left the room. "Troy." Helen said. "What's gotten into you?" Troy grabbed his head, and held it. "I have no idea, I mean, I-I, I know what I saw, I mean......" He grabbed a pillow behind him, and threw it across the room. "ARRRGGGGH!!" He screamed. "I'm not even sure I'm right in the head. I not even sure, that whole ordeal happened." He held his head in his hands. He just wanted to go back to living his normal life, before he blasted off from earth, before he lost two of his best friends to some mad man, before he got stuck in the future, where he was a curiosity, that kats would look at. "Is Susan o.k.?" Troy final asked. Helen put her arm around him. "Susan is fine." She said. "But right now, what she needs, is a stable father. So why don't you get some rest, and you'll feel better in the morning." Troy looked her in the face, and looked at her loving smile, her pleading eyes. "God." He said, lying back down on his bed. "You certainly have this way of persuading me Helen." Helen smiled. "Hay." She said. "I married you, didn't I?" They both laughed. "See you in the morning, big boy." She said to him. "Yea." He called out to her. "See you in the morning." Troy watched Helen leave, then he lay back on his pillow, and fell into a restless, haunted sleep. That night, Troy dreamed, a horrible dream. In this dream, he saw death. He was surrounded by millions, of skulls, both human, and kat. In front of him was the earth. He saw death. Suddenly, the world in front of his eyes suddenly exploded, leaving only a strain of DNA spinning there. He saw the world being destroyed by a genetic bomb. He saw Robert Dillion, standing over him, laughing, he was holding both the SWAT Kats, they were dead. He was now screaming out laugher. Then he woke up. The Next Day..... Troy woke up to the sound of birds chirping. He looked out at the sun, rising up over the complex. He sighed. "So." He said. "It was all a dream." However, this was all brought down crashing, by the letter beside his bed. It had one word on it. 'Troy.' He picked it up, and opened it. Inside was a letter, and he began to read it. "Dear Troy. How's the head, my dear boy. Oh, and it was not all a dream. If your probably wondering how I pulled of the trick with the Space centre, I want you to come to Megakat City Park, alone, wait by the east end, their a car will pick you up, and you'll receive further instructions from there." Troy ripped up the note, and threw it into the bin. He quickly put on some clothes, and hurried out of the complex, being careful not to be seen. When he finally got to the east end of the park, he found the limo waiting for him. Inside, were some humans, and kats. One of the humans shoved a mask into his hands. "Put this on." He said to him. Troy put on the mask. It was a kat face mask. He was also handed some gloves, and a pair of dark glasses, to hide his alien looking eyes. When they finally got to their destination, he was escorted out of the car, and into a building, that they had stopped in front of. It was a tall skyscraper, with aqua blue glass windows. On top of the building, was a sign that read, "Base Command." "Inside." One of the kats said to him. He was escorted into the building, and took an elevator, up to the top floor. Once there, he was escorted into a huge office, and they went outside, and closed the door behind them, leaving him alone, in the room, with another kat. "You've convinced Feral to go to the location of the Space Centre, have you?" The kat asked. Troy nodded. "Yes." He said. "How do you know about that?" The kat turned around. His fur was brown, and his hair was dark brown. He wore a blue business suit, and wore a pair of dark glasses. "Allow me to introduce myself." The kat said. "Brownlee, Gorge Brownlee." He held out his paw to Troy's, but he didn't accept it. "So you don't like talking to me huh?" Gorge said. He then reached up and grabbed the bottom of his neck. "Maybe you'd be more comfortable talking to me." And with that, he ripped off the mask he was wearing, to reveal Robert Dillion. "I knew I wasn't crazy." Troy said. "No." Robert said. "But you soon will be." Troy grabbed him by the collar's of his suit. "What do you mean by that!?" Robert chuckled. "You are so easy Smith." He said. "You almost take the fun out of it all. All your little buttons just light right up and beg to be pushed." Troy slowly let go of him. "No more mind games anymore Dillion." Troy said. "How did you get here, and how did you make the Space Centre appear after three million years?" Robert laughed. "Boy!" He cried out. "You must watch too much television! You think that just because I have you at my mercy I'm going to tell you everything?" he turned around, and shook his head. "Grow up!" "Well, at least tell me how you pulled off the Space Centre trick." Robert turned around. "O.k." he said. "I suppose you deserve that much." He turned around to face out the window. "Do you remember that stuff Hugh Savier used to make sure his friends would still be around after three million years?" Troy nodded. "Well, three million years ago, I broke into their little bunker, and stole a whole truck load of that shit. I used it to coat the space centre, so after three million years, it's still there." "If you used it all on the Space Centre, how did you end up here?" Troy asked. "Are you deaf boy?" Robert said. "I said that explanation will come later." "Sorry." Troy mumbled. "So you should be." Robert said. "Anyway, the point of this little visit. I didn't call you here just to tell you how I brought back to life, a three million year old memory." He began to walk around Troy, circling him like a shark would to his victim. "I brought you here to tell you something." "Then tell me!" Troy cried out. Robert smiled. "No one believes you about seeing me alive. They all think you're crazy." He chuckled. "Ah, Smith, poor young miserable Smith. Things aren't working out for you....are they?" He stopped circling him. "I want you to have a seat." Troy looked at him. "Why should I?" Robert's expressionless face didn't move. "Just sit down and shut up. I want to tell you a story." Troy slowly sat down in a chair, near him. Robert watched him sit, then began his story. "Let me tell you a story. A work of fiction." He smiled at Troy for a second. "You know, I once considered a literary career as a young man. But that starving artist thing....It held no appeal." he turned to once again, face the window. "Now listen to a story of true power. Imagine, if you will, that right now, some were, there is a package being delivered. An ordinary cardboard box. Nothing to look at really. What does it hold?" In his reflection, Troy could see Robert grinning. "Only time will tell. As the box is opened, there is a slight puff of cool air and a slightly acrid scent. The box appears empty." Then he turned around to face Troy. "The recipient is puzzled even as he feels a tingling sensation over his entire body. An itching which seems to penetrate the very marrow of his bones, and itch which he never gets to scratch." Robert's face suddenly started to go dark. "First his flesh, then his muscle, the every organ and bone in his body is reduced to it's most basic components. Soon the air conditioning ducts carry a similar sent to every office and cubicle in the building. It all happens within a span of thirty seconds." Robert turned to face Troy. "Imagine that, Smith. Wouldn't it be a weapon of immense power to launch against one's enemies? But of course....It is simply a story. A fantastic narrative left over from a misspent youth on H.G. Wells, and comic books." He straightened his tie, and looked around the room. "Now I'm all business." Troy leapt up out of his seat, and grabbed Robert around the neck. "What are you up to Dillion?" He cried. "What are you telling me?" He brought his face inches away from Robert's. "Is this something your going to do, or...." He paused. "If you did this thing, I swear I'll--" Robert suddenly, grabbed Troy's arms, and ripped them of his throat, with surprising strength, and pushed him back down into his seat. "You missed the point of this story Smith." He said. "And here I thought you were the bright one. There is nothing you can do. You can no sooner stop me than the man in the story could stop his genetic dissolution." He straightened up his crumpled suit. "I can take anything from you and there is not a thing you can do about it. You are nothing, just an insignificant plaything of which I am quickly tiring." He pressed a button on his desk. "Go to the Enforcers, go to the press. Do you honestly think they'll believe a crazy story like that? I mean, already your own friends are starting to question your mental health." Two strong looking kats entered the room, and picked up Troy by his shoulders. Troy put back on his mask, as they escorted him out of the room. "Remember Troy." Robert called out to him. "This is just a story, it's just a hypothetical example. Or is it?" Sometime later, Troy was dumped back at Megakat City Park. He watched the limo drive off, then he headed back for Pumadyne. However, when he got back to Pumadyne, he was greeted by a frantic sight. Kats were running every were, there were fire trucks, ambulances, Enforcers, the Media. Roy Smith ran up to him. "Troy." he called out to him. "Were have you been?" "You wouldn't believe me if I told you Roy." He said. "Anyway." Roy said. "That doesn't matter." He looked Tory in the eyes. Troy could tell right from the start this was going to be bad news. "What is it, what's happened?" Troy asked frantically. Roy was almost on the point of crying. "There are about fifty dead." Troy's eyes widened. "WHAT?!!" He cried out. "What happened?" Roy wiped away a tear. "There was an accident at the Biological section." He swallowed hard. "The entire research facility, gone. The centre for disease control is all over the place, trying to figure out what happened. They think it was a terrorist attack. I can't even get close to the site, not even within a mile of the place. The best I can get is that they all seemed to have just melted within their clothes." Troy was suddenly weak at the knees. His eyes were wide, and ghostly. "Melted?" He whispered. He looked at Roy, who was on the braking point of bursting into tears. He was hiding something. "That's not all, isn't it?" Troy said. Roy shook his head. "I didn't want to be the one to tell you this, but....b-but." Roy was now forcing himself to tell Troy. "Helen, was in that section at the time." Troy was stunned. He was taken back. "Helen?" Roy nodded. Troy didn't know what to do. He was filled with a mixture of emotions, Rage, anger, Fear, Sadness. Suddenly, his face went dark. His eyes narrowed to slits. His mouth turned into a curl, and savage looking snarl. "Dillion." He growled. Roy looked at him. "Who?" He said. "Troy, did you just say Dillion?" Troy didn't answer. He spun around, and bolted of at high speed. he ran past the gate, past the fern bushes, out into the grassy plane He kept on running, until he reached the graveyard. He stopped, realising were he was. He looked at his hands, then a drop of water splashed down on his right hand. He looked up, looking for ran. Then he realised, it was a tear, his own tear. He felt his face. His eyes were soaked for tears. He was crying. He through back his head, and let out a bloody curdling scream of rage. Finally when he had finished, he looked around. "Dillion." He hissed. "Head to head Dillion." He growled, running towards the city. "Face to face." Gorge Brownlee was sitting his arm chair, when the door was suddenly, kicked open. Gorge looked up in both surprise and shook, as the red faced, angry looking human, stormed into his office. He marched right up to him, and kicked him right of the chair. Gorge was sent spiralling onto the floor. Troy walked over to him, hosted him up, of the floor, and began savagely beating him, landing savage blows to the face, and finally drawing blood. Then with one might upper cut, Troy sent him flying into the desk. "YOU'RE GOING TO PAY DILLION!!!" Troy screamed at him. He walked up to Dillion, and grabbed his collar, and brought him up to face level. "You love playing the tormentor don't you Dillion, the TORMENTOR! You love to toy with people and hound them, until you drive them right over the edge! Well, this time I'm not letting you. You may have done it to Roger, and David, but not me, no way, Your not doing it to ME!!" With that, he hurled the semi concise Dillion into the wall, were he put a huge hole in it. Troy walked over to him, and grabbed his neck. "does that hurt Dillion?" He hissed into the kat's face. "does IT!!?" The man didn't answer. Troy smiled. "Well, guess what murderer? This is only the beginning." Troy picked him up, and began slamming him into the walls. Then, he finally let him drop, and watched him lie on the floor, panting, heavily. "Well done Smith, well done." Troy spun around, to see who was talking to him. He gasped. It was Dillion. He spun back to the kat lying bleeding, and bruised on the floor. "How did you-how...?!" Troy asked. Robert smiled. "That, my dear boy, is the REAL Gorge Brownlee. He works for me. You see, I just impersonated him, so you'd know were to come, and look for me." He looked over at Gorge. "You o.k. over there Gorge?" "I'm fine boss." Gorge said. "Just get me a fucking Doctor." Robert smiled, and turned back to Troy. "Congratulations Mr Smith." He said. "You've proved that there's far less difference between us than I ever imagined." He began walking over to Troy. "For all your high talk about decency and morality....your a savage under the skin." He leaned closer to Troy, so that their faces were inches apart. "Just, like, me." Troy backed off, and shook his head. "NO!" He cried. "No matter how far you push me, no matter what games you play, I won't become like you! I'LL NEVER BECOME LIKE YOU!!" He screamed at Dillion. But Dillion just laughed. He reached into his coat, and pulled out what looked like a remote control. "Oh, but my dear boy, you have. You are already like me!" He pointed the control over to the right hand corner of the room. "And I have the proof." To were there was a surveillance camera. "Captured on tape, for all the world to see!" Troy collapsed, and fell to his knees. "Oh, boo hoo hoo." Robert said. "Don't go to pieces on me now Troy." He said. "The games just beginning. I've got a hole amusement park full of fun, just waiting for you." "You set me UP!" Troy yelled at him. Robert shrugged. "So I did." He said. "And like I said before, there's nothing you can do about it." Then he vanished. Another hologram, Troy thought. Suddenly, security guards burst into the room. They all pointed guns at Troy. "Don't move, or we'll shoot!" One of the guards cried out. "Are you all right Mr Brownlee?" One of the guards asked. Gorge raised his head. "I'll live." Brownlee moaned. The guards cuffed Troy, and shoved him outside, to a waiting patrol car, down stairs. Robert Dillion watched the whole ordeal from the safety of the surveillance room. He shook his head sadly. "Ah...Smith." He said softly. "I almost pity you. When the media get their paws on this tape--and they will, I can guarantee it--it's going to make the Rodney King video, look like Sesame Street." Enforcer H.Q. Troy Smith was lying on the Prison cell bed. he was looking up at the ceiling. He heard the door at the other end of the room open, but he didn't look up. Even when his cell door opened. "You know Mr Smith." Feral said, as he walked into the cell. "This is the exact cell were we put David Sankowski, when we first meet him. "You used to call me Commander, Commander." Troy said. "What happened to that?" "It disappeared." Feral said. "Along with your sanity." Feral didn't smile, nor did he frown. "I know your upset about the death of your wife, Mr Smith, but that was no excuse to go running half way across the city, just to bet up the kat in charge of all the military installations on the North Western Continent." "My wife wasn't accidentally killed, Commander, she was murdered." "By who Mr Smith?" Troy looked at Feral, for a few seconds, then turned away. "Your still sticking with your Robert Dillion story?" Troy nodded. "I know it's hard to believe Commander, but he's also in cahoots with Gorge Brownlee." Feral shook his head. "You've been under allot of stress lately Mr Smith." He said. "I think the death of your wife, has unstabled your mind..." "Unstabled?!" Troy cried out. "Your damn right I'm pissed off, but not unstabled." "I insist that you stay here for a couple of days, Mr Smith." Feral said. "The public didn't handle your sudden out bust, as well as I did. Plus the fact, there was an anonymous vote from all the other humans." "What about the N.A.S.A. Space Centre?" Troy said. "Did you find that?" Feral shook his head. "We went to the exact same spot were you said you were. We found no such trace of the complex you described." Troy sat up straight. "That's impossible!" he cried out. "It has to be there. It just has to be!" Feral shook his head again. "It was the correct spot Mr Smith." He said. "We even found your foot prints in the dirt." Troy lay back down on his bed. "Now, I'll come back later in the week. Maybe when you've seated down a bit." Then, he left, leaving Troy alone, with an armed guard. Troy couldn't believe it. Was he going nuts. Maybe Feral was right. Had he fallen into the mouth of madness, like David. Was he going to wind up dead. He couldn't take it anymore. He needed help. He needed to get Robert Dillion. "HOW!!?" He screamed out loud. Suddenly, he was aware of what he just did. The guard was giving him a funny look. Then he turned around, and went back to guarding him. Great. Troy thought, now he probably thinks I'm truly nuts. Suddenly, he was enveloped in a purple glow. Before he could cry out, he was covered comepletely, and vanished from the cell. The guard of cause saw all this. He remembered what happened last time, he was guarding a human. "Not again." He said, and walked over to the phone. Some where in limbo.... Before Troy could realise what had happened, he was standing in what looked like, a huge pyramid. All around him, there were stairs, door ways, weird objects. "Greetings Troy Smith." Troy already knew that voice, even before he spun around to face his host, he knew who it was. "The Pastmaster." He said. "What do you want?" The Pastmaster shrugged. "I don't know." He said. "I really don't know. I was just sitting here in my little temple, just doing a few magic tricks, when I saw that you were in the nut house." "Don't fuck with me all right?" Troy said. "I damn well know that you knew all this was going to happen. I've had a really bad day, so don't make me worse." The Pastmaster smiled. "Ahhh." He said. "You have a temper. There's a little of David Sankowski in you after all. Maybe more than you realise" Troy resisted the urge to throttle him. "You leave David out of this." He said softly. "You drove him over the edge, to the point of obsession, with changing the past...." The Pastmaster held up his paw. "Uh uh uh." he said. "Not me, I didn't drive him into the mouth of madness. Robert did that." "What are you talking about?" Troy said. "Do you remember that dream you had?" Troy thought for a moment. "How do you know about that?" Troy then stopped, when he realised what he had just said. "Never mind." He said. "That was no dream Mr Smith." The Pastmaster said. "That was a message, hopefully trying to let you know what is happening to you." "Then all those doors?" "Were the doors to your future." The Pastmaster finished. "You could only chose one, because everyone has one future, and one, future only. If we could change the past, present, and future, all of time would be in chaos." "How?" Tory said. "Think about it." The Pastmaster said. "Lets say, that a musician in London, makes a broadcast on Wednesday. He travels from London, to New York, faster than the speed of light. Arrives in New York, on the previous Tuesday, to hear his broadcast, and decides he doesn't like it. So he travels back to London faster than the speed of light, in order to prevent his broad cast." Troy nodded. "So he changes his board cast right?" "Yes he does, but in doing so, he prevents himself from going into the future to here his own board cast, and deciding that he doesn't like it. So, if he never goes into the future to here his broadcast, he never went back in time to prevent it, there for, if he never went back in time to prevent it, he still broad casts it." Troy shook his head. "I see what you mean." "However." The Pastmaster said. "That doesn't mean you can prevent it from happening differently." "Huh?" Troy said. The Pastmaster shook his head and growled. "I take that back, your exactly like David. Anyway, what I mean is that the musician couldn't prevent his broad cast, from being terrible, what I mean is that he could change it, it would still be terrible to him, but it would be a different piece of music." "What are you saying exactly." The Pastmaster rolled his eyes in his head. "How many times do I have to keep rewording things for your kind." "Just get to the point." "The future is like a distinction, from point A, to point B on a high way. You can't change you're destination, but you can change lanes. For instance. You might leave this room now, and wind up dead, or you could leave a minute later, and end up living for a little while longer. No matter what lane you chose, you'll reach the same destination." "But what can I do about Dillion? History's proven his invincible." "You can't kill Robert Dillion, but you can trap him." Troy thought about that for a moment. Then he grabbed the Pastmaster. "I know you're not going to interfere, but I need your help." "I know what you want, so I'll tell you now, I'm not going to fight alongside you." "But I can't take on Dillion alone." Troy said. "I need help." "Then think about it Mr Smith." The Pastmaster said. "Who do you know who can help you, besides me." Troy thought for a moment, then a smile spread across his face. He nodded, and the Pastmaster held up his watch. "The SWAT Kats." Troy said. The whole room glowed a purple colour, and Troy vanished. Just then, there was a small blue coloured hole, that appeared out of nowhere, and out stepped Robert Dillion. He looked at his watch, then at the Pastmaster. "I missed him, didn't I?" The Pastmaster nodded. "I hate time travel." He said. "Now you know how I feel." The Pastmaster said. "Why didn't you show him, my little surprise?" Robert demanded. "Hay." The Pastmaster said. "When you've been around for nearly Nine hundred years, seen all there is to see, things get very boring after a while, so you change things a bit." "Never mind." Robert said. "One way or another, he'll know." SWAT Kat H.Q. T Bone and Razor were in the hanger, with their masks off, loading missiles onto the Turbo Kat. Suddenly, the hanger was filled with a rather bright purplish glow. Then, when it all subsided, T Bone and Razor were left, looking at Troy Smith, the last surviving human of the Apollo Space Ship. "Troy?" Razor said. Troy saw the SWAT Kats over by the Turbo Kat. "SWAT Kats." He said. "I need your help." "Hold on now Troy." T Bone said. "We've seen the news reports, you've gone crazy." Troy moaned. "I was set up." He cried out. "Look, your the only ones who can help me." "You bet the crap out of General Brownlee." T Bone said. "I was tricked." Troy pleaded. "Look, I know I haven't been myself lately, but please, for the love of god, you've got to help me. Your the only ones who can." The two SWAT Kats looked at each other. "Well Razor." T Bone said. "What do we do?" Razor shrugged. "Well," Razor said. "He's here now, although I don't know how he did it. He now knows our secret identities, and this sudden outburst really doesn't seem like something he would actually do." "I knew I could count on you guys. And besides, I don't your who you really are, because I've never seen you guys before." Troy said, rushing over to them. However, T Bone halted him before he could get any closer. "Before we agree to anything, how about filling us in on what's happening, and how you got here." Troy smiled. "O.k." He said. "This is how it started..." One long explanation later..... "....And then I appeared in here, with you guys." T Bone and Razor just looked at each other, then back at Troy. "So Robert is back." T Bone said. Troy nodded. "And he was the one responsible for that accident at Pumadyne." Troy nodded again. "Are you sure you're not just seeing things?" Troy growled at T Bone. "Don't say those words to me, ever again." he snarled. "All day I've been hearing kats telling me that, I don't need you telling me again." T Bone held up his paws, as if backing of. "You must forgive T Bone Troy." Razor said. "I mean, it's just all so hard to believe. Robert Dillion, back from the dead, I mean, your president said, that he was excited, back in the twenty-first century." "I know." Troy said. "But I also know what I saw." Razor was silent for a moment, as if think what to do. Finally, he got up. "O.k." He said. "What do you want us to do?" Base Command, (the commander centre for the inter Defense for the North Western Continent.) "Going out?" Robert said to Gorge, as he grabbed his coat, and put it on. "Yea." Gorge said. "You want something?" "I think I'd better impersonate you now." Gorge gave him a funny look. "Why?" Robert put on his mask of Gorge. "Just do as I say, and don't ever question my reasons again, got it?" Gorge nodded. Robert left the room, as Gorge, and got into an elevator, with some guards. Ever since Troy's unprovoked attack on General Gorge Brownlee, He'd been given some body guards. Suddenly, the lights in the elevator went out, and the came to a stop. "As I knew you would Troy." Robert said silently to himself. "Prepare yourself." Robert said to the guards. "Anything could happen--" Suddenly, the top of the elevator was ripped of, and Robert was hosted up, out of sight of his guards. Robert looked up to see a grappling cable reeling him up towards the roof. Once on the top, he saw the SWAT Kats, and Troy. "We weren't though yet Dillion." Troy hissed, walking towards him. "And I do prefer our conversations take place away from the prying eyes of your cameras." Robert smiled at him, from under his mask. "So." He said. "You know it's me under this mask." Troy nodded. "You all ways seem to know what I plan to do, so I figured if I wanted to kidnap the General, you'd be taking his place, to taunt me." Robert smiled. "I'm impressed, Mr Smith." He said. "You may not be as dumb as you look." "Enough chit chat Dillion." Troy said. "I want to know what your game is?" "All in due time my boy." Dillion said. Troy grabbed Dillion by his collar. "NO more mind games Dillion." He hissed. "I said, TELL ME!!" Dillion shoved him away. "Look." He said. "I've gone and made you angry. You want to beat me again, don't you want to kill me perhaps?" He turned around and began walking towards the edge of the roof. "You have taken some satisfaction in our last encounter despite the public relations cost." He smiled. "You make it so easy." He stopped by the roofs edge. "I'm a busy man Troy. Let's rush this along to it's inevitable conclusion." He looked over the roofs edge. "Without a worthy opponent, life is simply not worth living for a man like me. And you were never a worthy opponent." he got up on the edge of the roof, and jumped of. "Good-bye Mr Smith." "No!" Troy cried out. He grabbed T Bone's glovatrix off him, and used the grappling cable to snag Dillion before he hit the ground below them. "I'm not going to let you die on me Dillion!" He spat at his face, once he'd reeled him in. Robert just laughed. "See Troy." He said. "You are so predictable. This is why you'll never win!" He pulled himself over the edge of the roof, and back onto the roof. "I would have allowed you to fall. You are a born loser, Smith. Always were. You dance to any tune I play. I'm the puppet master, and you are the puppet." Suddenly, Gorge's guards burst onto the roof. "There he is!" One of them cried. "Hay, it's that crazy human again." One of the other cried out. "And it's the SWAT Kats." The other called out. Suddenly, Dillion began crying. "Please." he whimpered. "No more, not again. Just leave me alone, What do you want from me?!" Troy was suddenly grabbed by T Bone. "We're outta here." He said, as he dragged Troy to the Turbo Kat. The guards fired uselessly as the Turbo Kat lifted of from the roof, and flew off. "He did it to me again." Troy said, slapping his forehead. They were back at SWAT Kat H.Q. "Well, that certainly worked well, didn't it." T Bone said. "Now Feral's probably thinking were as crazy as you are." "SHUT UP!!" Troy screamed at him. "Hay!" Razor called out. Both T Bone, and Troy looked over at Razor. "Were all on the same side now, aren't we?" They both nodded. "Good, then I suggest we put our heads together and try and figure out a solution." "How can we?" Troy said. "He seems to know what were doing before we even think of it." "But in this case..." They all spun around to see Robert Dillion standing there. "...I'm making my move, before you can." T Bone got up, and charged at Dillion. "I never got a good chance to give you a good pounding." T Bone said. But Dillion stuck out his hand, caught T Bone by the throat, and tossed him aside, like a used toy. "As you can see." He said. "I've gotten a lot stronger since our last encounter." "How?" Troy said. Robert smiled. "Well." He said. "After all I've put you though, your entitled to some answer's, not all, but some." He sat down, on a near by seat, and took of his shades. "My story beings, three million years ago. After I had stolen a large quantity of that stuff Hugh Savior makes, I had my men coat the N.A.S.A. Space Centre in it. Then I went to sleep for about forty five years. Then, this is were it gets interesting. You see Commander, after the war ended, Earth was looted by aliens." Troy's eye's widened. "Aliens?" He said. Robert nodded. "That's getting to wearied." T Bone gave him a look. "And I suppose that anthropomorphic monkeys aren't?" he said. "My bunker was just one, of the many looted. Of course, the ones who stole me, couldn't find any use for me, and I was handed down, generation to generation. This went on for five hundred and four years, until, I meet up with one alien, who decided I was worth my weight in gold, and decided to keep hold of me for a little while longer. I learnt lots of interesting things from him, strength enhancing, and my favourite, Time Travel. Once I assured the secret of Time Travel, I then did away with my generous host, and set about, collecting the things I needed. Like weapons, and my hired goons. I watched the world change, learnt many things. I now know everything. It has taken me billions of years of learning, but to you, it would be the mere blink of an eye. I have meet up with civilizations that have been around centuries before our sun had planets. I've seen millions of civilizations, seen billions of planets. Now I have achieved my ultimate goal. Immortality. You see Troy, I can not be killed. David tried, and failed, Wassaw tried, and failed, your trying, and you shall fail." "Yea." T Bone said. "But we can sure as hell piss you off." "I don't think so." Robert said. He pushed a button on his belt, and the whole room disappeared, before their very eyes. "Were are we?" Troy asked. The whole room now looked like the Pastmaster's place. "The central never system for time it's self." Robert answered. He was floating in mid air. "How are you managing to pull that one off?" T Bone asked. "Anything is possible for Robert Dillion." Robert said. "Which is more than what I can say for you." He floated back down to the floor. "You said before, that this was the central nerves system for time it's self." Troy said. "What do you mean by that?" "We're at the very beginning of time, were it all began." He began turning in circles looking up at everything. "This is the start of time, were everything first began the great evolutionary race for domination." He turned back to his guests. "You might call it, Limbo." He created some steps out of no were, and began walking up them. "It's taken me billions of years to figure out it's secretes, an eternity learning every nook and cranny. Now." He said, floating upwards again. "I am a GOD!!" "If your a god." Troy said. "Then why didn't you destroy us when you had the chance?" Robert smiled. "Because." He said. "It's more fun to tease and torment you. Any low life can aim a gun and pull the trigger, but no, not me. I now know what the Pastmaster means by the fact that one can get very board." He floated back down to the ground. "And I'm getting very board of you." Suddenly, the SWAT Kats and Troy lifted of the ground, and began to hover in mid air. "Don't worry about me killing you." he said. "I do not need to kill you, because I do not fear." He waved his hand. "No, my dear boy." He cried out. "I'll leave that to some one else." Then the whole room vanished before their eyes. Some were in North America, 3403955 AD.... "Here we go again." T Bone said, as they fell down, onto the grass? They all got up, and looked around. "Where are we?" Troy asked. Razor looked around. "It's more like, when are we." Razor said. "We know that Dillion doesn't have the power to transport us across space, but he does have the power to transport across time." he shook his head. "He's worst than the Pastmaster." The whole surrounding was a field of grass, with mountains. There was a low over cast, with hints of rain. Low rumbling could be heard in the distance. "I wish we had some idea as to were we are." T Bone said. "We could be anywhere." Troy said. "From North America, to Europe, maybe even Africa." He looked at the mountains. "We could even be in Scotland." "We won't find any answers waiting around here." Razor said. "We might as well get going, and see what we can find." They all began walking towards the valley, hoping to find any signs of life. "Stop or I'll shoot!" A strong voice shouted behind them. They all turned around to see a surprising sight. It was a kat, or something that looked like a kat. This kat was more cat than human. It's hind legs bent backwards, not forwards like a humans. It's paws was short, like primitive cat paws. It's long tail swished back and forth. It's fur was a sleek black colour, like a panthers. It wore armour, which looked like a cross between a Roman trooper, and a knight of old England. It wore a helmet like a Roman Soldier, with a chest of chain mail. It also wore metal thigh pads, and leather boots, which had three big claws pointing out at the end, and a huge broad sword lay at it's waist. Its thumb less paws curled around a deadly looking cross bow, which it had aimed at not at the SWAT Kats, but at the human. "Who the hell are you?" Razor asked. The cat gave him a surprised look. "You speak the language of the ancient ones." It said. Troy concluded that it was a male, by the sound of it's voice, and it's figure. "I'm Commander Troy Smith of th...." The Cross bow was shoved into his stomach. "I know what you are." The cat said. "Your a Ho-mun, and your evil." "What?!" Troy said. "I just meet you, how come I'm the bad guy?" "You speak strangely Ho-mun." the cat said. "But your kind are the children of the Devil." His eyes went wide and scared, as if he were not sure he should be talking about this. "The creators of, of-the....the Adam!" he shuddered that the mention of that name. "The Adam?" Troy said. "Don't act dumb Ho-mun." The cat said. "Every one knows the Evil Adam that destroyed the world, was created by the Ho-muns." The SWAT Kats looked at Troy, who shrugged at them. "I have no idea what this guys on about." Troy said. "I have no idea what an Adam is." Razor stepped forward. "Could you take us to some one who knows all about, this Adam." The cat cowered at the mention of that name. "Yes, I can, but don't ever mention that name again around anybody." The cat said. "It's forbidden to even think about it." "Fine then." Troy said. "Just point us in the direction then. We'll find our way." The cat raised the cross bow so that it was face height with Troy's face. "Not so fast Ho-mun." he said. "I can't let you go, your a Ho-mun, and all Ho-muns must be exterminated, so is the law." His claw fingered the firing mechanism on the cross bow. "Not so fast." Razor said, grabbing the cross bow out of the cats paws. "He's on our side, and no one's killing him." The cats eyes widened. "A cat is on the same side as a Ho-mun?" He said. "Such a thing is unthinkable." "Yea?" T Bone said, stepping in front of Troy, cracking his knuckles. "If you harm at least one hair on his hairless body, I'll do something unthinkable to YOU!" The cat backed off. "Good." He said. The cat got his first good looked at the strange cats. "You." He said, falling to his knees. "Your the ancient ones." He bowed before the SWAT Kats. "Huh?" Razor said. The cat raised his head. "Your legs are different." he said. "They bend forward, not backwards, and your paws." he raised his paws as if praising. "You fit the exact description of the Ancient Ones." T Bone pointed to Troy. "does he fit the description of the Ho-muns." T Bone asked, pointing at Troy, the cat glared at the human. "He has no fur, no tail, and no claws." The cat said. "He is a Ho-mun." They both looked at Troy. "How do you know, that the humans....I mean Ho-muns created this, Adam." The cat gave them a shooked look, as if they should already have known this. "How can you not know?!" He cried out. "It is written, in the Great Book." "What is this great book?" T Bone asked. "Well." The cat said. "You of all cats should know. Your the ones who wrote the Great Book. The ancient ones wrote the Great Book, after the Evil Adam had destroyed the World." "Is there a priest, or some one we could talk to, about this Great Book?" Troy said. the cat narrowed his yellow eyes to slits. "I refuse to talk to a Ho-mun." He growled. Razor sighed, and repeated the question. The cat was willing to talk to him. "Raven, the High one knows all about the Great Book." He said. "It is he, who reads a chapter to our village every day, before we go to work in the fields." T Bone smiled. "Great." he said. "Then take us to this, Raven, and maybe he can fill us in on were we are, and what time period." "I would be honoured Ancient Ones." He said. Then he turned to Troy. "But we must dispose of the Ho-mun first. For he will bring Famine, Pestilent, War, and Death to our lands." Troy had, had it. "Look pal." He said, angrily. "I don't know what loser has been filling your head with that rubbish but...." The cat hissed at him. "It is not rubbish Ho-mun!" He cried out. "It is the law, and the law must be obeyed." He snatched his cross bow back from Razor, and took aim with it, pointing it at Troy's hart. But the SWAT Kats stood in the way. "Does the law also tell you to obey the words of the ancient ones?" Razor asked. "Yes." the cat said, nodding. "Then the ancient ones say, spare this Ho-mun, or be punished." The cat dropped to his knees, and began to tremble. "Have pity on me Ancient ones." He moaned. "I did not know, this Ho-mun was under your protection." T Bone shook his head. "Get up off the ground." He said, the cat obeyed. "Good, now take us to this Raven, at once." The cat shook his head, and pointed at Troy. "I can't" He said. "If my people see this Ho-mun, they'll kill him for sure, and I don't want my village to suffer the wrath of the ancient ones." The SWAT Kats looked at Troy. "Well?" Troy said. "Any ideas?" "I have one." The cat said. They all turned to face him. The SWAT Kats, the cat warrior, and the creature in the black cloak, walked into the village. From under the huge piece of cloth, Troy looked around at the Village. It reminded him of those old medieval knight movies, with cats wearing clothing that was similar to that period. But the buildings were not. They were a cross between something from ancient Rome, and the Renaissance. There were huge pillars, with road works, and gutters, but at the same time, there was wood, and mud. A complete mix of cultures. Troy looked at his costume. He was supposed to be a Dessert Trader. He was completely covered in a black cloak, with black boots on. The hood the covered his face was red, symbolizing his position in his village, although he didn't pay much attention to what it was. He wore a pair of goggles, that hid his eyes, and he carried a brown bag, slung over his shoulder. A few cats looked at him, but paid no attention. Then, a thought popped into Troy's mind. "Say." He said to the kat. "Do you have a name?" The cat gave him a funny look. "Name?" He said. "What is name?" He asked. "What do they call you?" The cat smiled. "Oh." He said. "You mean, what is my sign?" Troy nodded. "My sign is Bane." "Well." Troy said. "Hello Bane." "And I already know your sign, Troy." Bane said. "But that is the only time I'll call you by your sign, Ho-mun." Troy sighed. He thought he was making progress with this guy. The four of them walked though the village, until they reached a hill. There was a stone path leading up to a house. Troy looked at the house. It looked more like a old temple, rather than a house. "Raven the High One, lives up there." Bane said. "Come, I'll take you to him." They walked up the path, and reached the temple. They walked inside, and were amazed. All around the place, was painting. Paintings of cats, and kats. The whole temple reminded Troy of Michelangelo's Chapel. At the far end of the temple, was a pool. Behind it was an altar. And behind it, was a statue, of a kat. All though out the temple, were rows upon rows, of seats. Bane stepped forward. "High One?" He called out. A figure wearing a blue cloak, appeared from behind the altar. As he got closer, they saw his fur was orange, and that he was wearing goggles, like Troy. "What is it Bane?" He said. "I'm a very busy cat." Bane walked up to Raven. "Oh High One." He said. "God have truly blessed us with a miracle." He indicated towards the SWAT Kats. "The Ancient Ones have returned." "You've been out, wearing my armour again, haven't you!" The cat demanded. "Yes sir." Bane said. "How many times have I told you, you're not a proper warrior yet." Bane dropped his head. The cat turned his head towards the three strangers. He walked up to them, and looked them over. Then a huge smile spread across his face. "Praise the Lord." He said. "This is a joyous day." Then he turned to Troy. "But tell me, what is a Ho-mun doing traveling with the Ancient Ones?" Troy pulled back his hood. "How did you know?" He asked. The cat didn't utter a word. "Raven, the High One, knows everything." Then he put his paw on Troy's shoulder. "However, I do know that you are not full of evil, like the Great Book says." Razor stepped forward. "Raven." He said. "My friends and I were hoping you could..." "Tell you, when and were you are?" Raven interrupted. The three were speechless. "How did you..." T Bone started. "Raven the High One, knows everything." Raven said. "Well," Troy said. "Could you answer our question?" "You are five hundred miles South of Lake Michigan, Commander Troy Smith." Raven said. Troy was shooked. Then Raven turned to the SWAT Kats. "You are five hundred Miles south west of the Great Inner Lake, Jake Clawson, and Chance Furlong." They were all speechless. "As for when. You are in the year, 3403955." They were all shooked. "I would like to know how you..." Troy said, but Raven quickly cut him off. "When I was born. I was born with a gift. The gift to see the truth. I am able to see into one's soul, and tell for who they really are. However." He reached up to take of his goggles. "The gift was not without it's cost." He took off his goggles, and the trio gasped. "I was born blind." His eyes were not yellow, like every other cats. His were a dull orange. "But how were you able to tell us where we were, and when?" T Bone asked. "The Great Book." Raven said. "It keeps track of everything, but I had to look deep into your souls, to find a match with what you knew. Speaking of which...." He turned around, and walked back to the altar. Once there, he picked up a huge, brown leather covered book. "I believe this is what you came for." he held it up so they could see. On the cover, were the words, 'The Great Book.' He flicked thought some pages, until, he came to the page he was looking for. "You want to know the story of the Adam." Raven said. "I have looked into your souls, and seen that you don't know the answer, so I'll tell you the story of the creation of the cat." he sat down, and began. "In the beginning, God created the Heaven, and the Earth. He created all life, so that the Earth would not be empty. He then created cat, in his own image, and blessed him with the gift of intelligence, so that he would look after his fellow creatures and live in peace and harmony." Suddenly, his face grew cold. "But this was not to be. For among God's creatures, arose the Ho-mun. Animals who wanted the same power as God. They were an evil breed, and killed one another. Then, they created the Powerful Adam. This Adam, controlled the power of Fire, and Water. For when Adam was unleashed, would burn everything in his path, and then cool it of, with frozen water from the sky. The Ho-muns then started using the power of Adam for their own purposes, but Adam was to powerful for the Ho-muns to control. He broke free of their rule, and in his frustration, he destroyed the world. But he took his revenge out on the Ho-muns, who were his real enemy. All of Gods creatures were destroyed by Adam's furry. God punished Adam for what he had done, by banishing him to the centre of the Earth, were he has remained for all eternity. But Adam's destruction was to powerful for God to fix. Adam had created a great cold period, in which not one Ho-mun survived. The cats however, being Gods chosen people, lived though the cold period. But as a result, for punishment for letting the Ho-muns create such a monster, God punished the cats. He put a curse on them, turning them back to their original savage form." Raven closed the book. "Which is still on our people today." He turned to Troy. "Now do you understand why we must kill every Ho-mun we find. So that God doesn't punish us even more." "Is there a picture of this all powerful Adam?" Troy asked. Raven nodded. "Yes, there is." Raven brought the book over to Troy. Troy looked at the picture, and gasped. He handed it to Razor, who gasped who handed it to T Bone, who didn't understand what he was looking at. "I don't get it." He said. "It just looks like a face sounded by rings." "Don't you see it?" Razor said. "It's the symbol for an ATOM!" T Bone looked at it harder. He tried to imagine it with out the face. He could see the circle, sounded by rings, then he saw it. "Oh yea." He said. "I get it now." Troy said. "It's not ADAM, it's ATOM. These cats have built a religion based around their fear of the Atomic Bomb." Raven closed his eyes, as if he were reading their minds. "But what about the great period of cold, that Raven talked about?" T Bone said. "Listen." Troy said. "The radioactive fall out, is produced in the form of snow. That's what the frozen water from the sky is. Now, what the great period of cold. That sounds like a nuclear winter. That's when all the radioactivity clouds up in the atmosphere, and creates havoc on the weather. This is what creates the Nuclear Winter. I now understand why no humans lived though the Nuclear Winter. But the kat species some how did." "And their strange appearance is a result of the radioactive fall out that fell centuries ago." Razor said. Troy nodded. "I think were in the stage when kat kind is de evolving back into their four legged ancestors." Troy thought for a moment. "But what really gets me, is why would Dillion send us here. Of all periods of time?" "Well." T Bone said. "Remember when we first meet up with Bane, he wasn't about to ask you for an autograph." Troy nodded. "Great." Troy said. "Now we know, when, and were we are." The SWAT Kats nodded. "So were do we go from here?" "Now, now Troy." They all spun around to see Robert Dillion standing behind them. "Don't tell me that you and your friends are going to give up now, are you?" "Another Ho-mun?" Bane cried out. Troy pointed at Robert. "That's the Ho-mun who unleashed Adam on the world, and destroyed the Ancient Ones." Troy shouted. "Son of the Devil!" Bane cried out, he raised his cross bow , and fired it at Robert. Robert just yawned as the arrow sailed right though him. "I told you Troy." Robert said. I'm invisible, I can not be destroyed." Bane just stared in horror, he couldn't believe his arrow had failed to kill something. "Demon!" He cried out. "Demon is such a harsh word." He said. "I try to think of myself, as a spirit of absolute power." "Demon!" Bane shouted, bearing his teeth. "See the power I poses." Bringing out his claws, he leapt at Dillion, snarling, and growling. But Dillion, just knocked Bane away, with a back hand to the face. It was very powerful, for it sent Bane sailing into the pool. "They never learn, his kind." Robert said. "All brawn, and no brain." "Cut to the chase Dillion." Troy said. "What are you going to tell us?" Robert smiled. "My, my." He said. "A little impatient aren't we." He then sighed. "But if you must know, then..." He turned around and smiled. "I took the liberty of kidnapping your baby daughter, Mr Smith." Troy went red with anger. "I swear Dillion." He hissed. "If you harm her I'll...." "You'll what?" Robert snapped back. "In case you haven't yet got it though your thick skull, you can't hurt me. You can't fight me, and you can't stop me." Troy backed off. "There, now, were was I?" He thought for a moment, just to waste time. "Oh yes." He said. "Your daughter, Share Smith." Troy growled. "I have her captive. She is being held in the N.A.S.A. Space Station, in Houston." He began to smiled. "If you do not reach her in a month. She dies." He held up a watch. "Oh, and by the way Troy. The clock is ticking. I have all the time in the world. But do you?" Then he vanished in a puff of smoke. "I'd like to wrap some chains around his head." Troy growled. Razor put his paw on Troy's shoulder. "Easy Troy." He said. "We've got to think of a plan, we just can't go barging in, hoping things will go their way." Troy spun around to face him. "That's what he want's us to do." Troy said. "Haven't you figured it out yet? He want's us to make all these carefully laid out plans, so that when we do arrive, they turn into disaster, and we accomplish nothing." Razor thought for a moment. "Well, we just can't improvise all the way." "Then what can we do?" T Bone asked. "That's the point." Troy said. "Robert knows what were doing, because he can just jump forward in time to see what were going to do. That's the game. No matter how hard we try, or how much we accomplish, the ending is always the same. He wins, and we lose." "We can't sit here and do nothing." T Bone said. Razor sighed. "Then we've got no chose." Troy said. "We have to go to Robert, and face him." " But we'll lose." T Bone whined. "He's got my daughter." Troy shouted. "What am I supposed to do, sit around, and wait for her to die?!" "But if we head out into this mess, we'll die before she will." "GUYS!!" Razor shouted, standing in between them both. "Like Troy said. We've got no choice, we've got to go to Robert Dillion, even though we could die." "I agree with Razor, T Bone." Troy said. "We're going after my daughter, whether you like it or not." "I'm coming too." A soggy, but conscious Bane called out." Troy was surprised. "You, want to help ME?!" He cried. Bane nodded. "Even though you are a Ho-mun, and I've been taught to fear your kind," Bane said. "I was NOT taught to be heartless. I feel your sorrow for the loss of your daughter. If you will let me, I'd like to join your quest." Bane then held out his paw. Troy looked at it for a little while, then took it, and shook it. "Thank you Bane." He said. "Thank you." Raven shook his head too. "Bane!" He called out. "That was a stupid thing you just did then. "I'm sorry Raven but I...." Raven silenced him. "You, are helping a Ho-mun. You showed a Ho-mun mercy. And now, your willing to help him?!" Bane held his head in sorrow. "Your a disgrace." "No Raven." he said softly. Raven's eyes widened. "What was that Bane?" Bane raised his head, and looked him in the eye. "I said no Raven." Raven's eyes widened. "I know what the law says I must do. But Troy needs my help, and I must help him. It is the right thing to do. I know it." "How do you know?" Raven asked him. "Because I feel it in my hart." Raven's frown, turned to a smile. "Congratulations Bane." He said, smiling. "You have proven to me, that you are ready to handle the responsibilities of a warrior. By standing up for your beliefs, you have shown that you have bravery, and are willing to help your mortal enemy, in his time of crises, even though he has done nothing to you." He patted Bane's shoulder. "God protect you, my son." "He's your father?" Troy asked. Bane nodded. "He's got his mother looks." Raven said. Troy shook his head, and smiled. "Lets get going." T Bone said. As they headed out of the temple, Troy put back on his disguise, and they headed out of the city. "Were are we heading?" Bane asked. "A little place called Houston." Troy said. "It's were this whole adventure began. And were it's going to end." For the next few weeks, the four adventures climbed over rocky mountains, forests, and deserts. Every day, they were getting closer and closer to Robert Dillion. "Are we there yet?" T Bone moaned, as they were hiking along the mountains. "Not yet." Troy grumbled back. Razor didn't say anything, but just pushed a branch out of his way. Suddenly, Bane stopped in his tracks. He was staring at a mark on a tree. It looked like a paw, with it's claws out, in a circle. "What is it?" Troy asked. Bane didn't move. "Hello, Bane, Hello?!" T Bone called out, waving his paw in front of Bane's face. "We can't stay here long." Bane said. "Huh?" Troy said. "Why not?" "This is the territory of the Allied States." Bane said. "The most powerful empire in the world." Then he turned to Troy. "They'll kill you for sure." Troy nodded. "Your right." He said, "Lets keep moving." Just then, the bushes exploded, and out jumped cats. There were about ten of them. They wore armour, similar to Bane's, but carried swords, instead of cross bows. "Too late." Bane said. "We've got to fight." T Bone flexed his claws. "Finally." He growled, showing his teeth. "Some action." The cats roared as they leaped though the air, towards their victims. "Octopus Missiles deploy!" Both Razor and T Bone shouted, as they released a volley of missiles, taking out all of their attackers. "What was that?" Bane asked, eyeing the strange devises the SWAT Kats wore on their paws. "Bane." T Bone said, patting him on the shoulder. "Meet the glovatrix." "Here they come again." Troy said, as the cats began moving towards the four travellers. "Just leave them to us." Razor said, as he and T Bone walked forward. "Hay." bane said. "Save some for me." He cried, pulling out his sword. "Knock your self out guys." Troy said. "I'll watch from back here." "Hi-yaa!" Razor screamed, as he fly kicked two kats in front of him. They were sent spiralling into a tree. "Come get some." T Bone said, as two cats came for him. They swiped at him, but he ducked. "Too slow." He said, as he grabbed their wrists, and flipped them over his shoulder, and they landed on their heads. "Don't be shy." Razor said, as two more approached him. Suddenly, when they were about to swing their swords and decapitate him, Razor suddenly raised his left paw, and started clicking his fingers. The cats were distracted by this, giving Razor the chance to slam them both with the fist of his Glovatrix. Three cats were now attacking T Bone. They were circling him, waving their swords around. "Get him!" One of the cats yelled. "It's three against one." T Bone smiled as they rushed at him. "As far as your concerned." He said, as they piled down on him. "Your out numbered." With a few fast punches, and kicks, all three cats were laying on the ground, out cold. "Smoke'n." he said. Meanwhile, Bane was having fun with a cat of his own. The two of them were engage in a furious sword fight. Blocking, hacking, and slashing, the two were at it, until, Bane did a floor sweep on the kat, and sent him falling into a river. The cat got out, and ran off. bane was laughing as he put his sword back in his hilt. "You know." T Bone said, flexing his mussels. "This little trip, hasn't been all that bad." Razor chuckled. "Clam down T Bone," He said. "We've still got a long journey ahead of us, speaking of which, come on Troy, were going now." But Troy wasn't any were to be seen. They all looked around. "Troy?" T Bone called out. Troy was gone. "Were could he have gone?" Bane said. "He probably wouldn't have run away from the fight, because we were winning..." He stopped in his tracks. "What is it Bane." "Guys." He said. "Did that seem all too easy." Razor thought for a moment. "Come to think about it, yea." Suddenly, he knew exactly what Bane was getting at. "You mean that this was a diversion?" T Bone said. "You mean we fought those goons while...." "While they snatched Troy." Razor finished off. Troy had no idea what was going on. One minute he was standing in the bushes watching the SWAT Kats, and Bane kick the crap out of those cats, then the next thing he knew, a hesion bag comes down over his head, and he's turned upside down. Troy had the sensation he was put on a horse, and being taken some were. Finally, the horse ride stopped, and he was pulled down from the horse, and the bag ripped of. He blinked to adjust to the sudden brightness of the light, but everything came into focus. "Well, well, well." A rather gruff voice spoke. "What have we here?" Troy looked up at the tall cat. He had brown fur, and had a five inch long scar running from just below his right eye, down his check. He wore a huge fur rob, and what looked like a Viking helmet. "Uhh." Troy mumbled. "Hi." He was suddenly surrounded by laughter. Troy looked around him. He was surrounded by all kinds of cats. Wearing the same military dress. Some were female, others were male, some he couldn't tell. He started to get up, when suddenly, he was pushed to the ground. The laughter sprang up again. "What's the big idea, Scar Face?!" The big cat looked at him with surprise, and the laughter abruptly stopped. The cat reached down, and hosted Troy up into the air. "Who told you my sign, huh?" Troy gulped. "Would you believe a lucky guess?" The cat wasn't laughing. "Shut up human." He said, throwing him back on the ground. Suddenly, Troy's eyes widened. "Y-you called me a, human?!" He said. They all started laughing again. "Of course." The cat said. "What did you think we were going to call you, Ho-mun?" They all laughed even harder. "Well, yes." Troy said. "The Great Book says...." The all stopped laughing, then started to laugh even louder than before. "Our ancestors, the ones who founded the Allied States, wrote the Great book." Scar Face said. "So that we could have power over all we surveyed. We changed curtain things in it, so that they would never know the truth. Only the true ancestors of the Allied States, know the real truth." "And what is the truth?" Troy asked. "That the humans who once ruled over this land were not killed off by the great winter, but by us. They were pathetic, and weak, so our ancestors killed them. They created us to be warriors!" A mighty cry rose up from the crowd. "Our ancestors broke free from their rule, and slaughtered every last one of them. However." He walked up to Troy. "It would appear that some of them survived." His shadow fell across Troy, and Troy closed his eyes preparing for the worst. But instead of a sword crashing down on his skull. He was lifted of his feet, and dusted off. "What do you want?" Troy said. Scar Face smiled. "It is true about what they say. Humans are smart." He began walking him into the city. And what a city. It looked like the city of Rome, during the height of the Roman empire. every were he looked, cats were talking, working, playing, and sometimes, even fighting. "This is quite a place you've got here Scar Face." Troy said. Scar Face smiled. "That's my title human." He said. "My real sign is Bravo." Troy resisted all egress to make a crack for fear of getting his head smashed open. "How much of America, I mean how much land do you control?" Troy asked. "We know what America is, or should I say, was." Bravo said. "After all, we based our empire on it's sign. How do you think we came up with the empires name. Except all the surrounding states aren't exactly unified." "How much do you own?" "We own from what was once North Dakota to as far south as Missouri, and across to Virginia. Everything in that area, up to the great rivers that divided Canada from the United States, is ours." Troy shrugged. "How do you remember all of this stuff?" "Because of our fur human." Bravo said. "We were able to survive the Great Winter. Your kind, didn't have fur, which still amuses us today. Thus they perished in the cold. Because we knew we were going to survive, we were able to fuss around with other things. We kept records of everything, that might be important to us in the future." He turned back to Troy. "Any other questions?" "What do you want me for?" Bravo smiled, and laughed. "All in due time human." He said. "All in due time." They finally came to Bravo's palace, and they went inside. There were allot of servant cats in the place. They were to busy working to stop and notice their visitors. Although some did look at Troy, and gasp. Bravo lead Troy though the palace, into the court yard. He lead Troy too what looked like a bunker, made out of stone. He opened the door, and lead the confused human down a flight of steps. At the bottom. Troy finally saw what Bravo wanted him for. "You need me for THAT?!" He cried out. Bravo nodded. "We want you to build us a missile to carry it." Bravo said, pointing at the atomic bomb. Troy just looked at it. It was starring him right in the face. "Why do you want to build a nuclear missile for?" He said. "Didn't your ancestors teach you anything after the Third World War?!" Bravo nodded. "Yes." he said. "That might is right." He shoved his paw into the air. "With the power I poses. The Allied States can spread it's empire across the entire continent. in the time space of a few years." "But what you ask for is impossible." Troy said. "I can't build you a missile, I don't have the proper equipment to do so. In fact, you don't have the technology to help me." Bravo grabbed Troy by his collar. "Listen human." He said. "Get one thing straight around here. No one, and I mean no one, says no to Bravo. And secondly, you humans have pulled of the impossible before. I even heard you went to the moon." Troy shrugged. "It's true." he said. "Then build me my missile!" He through Troy to the ground. And with that he walked out. Troy got up, and watched him leave. He looked around at the equipment he had to work with. Paper for blue prints. Saws, hammers, nails, screw drivers, wood, sheets of metal, lead, even a few barrels of fuel. He didn't know were they dug that up from. He walked over to the table were the pieces of paper were. "Oh well." He said. "Better get started." He looked out the bunker windows, which had bars across them. "Come on SWAT Kats." he said. "Were are you guys?" "The hoof prints go this way." Bane said. "But we can't." "Why not?" Razor asked. Bane looked in the direction of the hoof prints. "Because they lead to the Capital City." He said. "No outsiders are allowed in the Capital City." He said. "If were found. We'll be excited for sure." T Bone walked right past him. "Then what are we waiting for?" "Are you crazy, Ancient one?" Bane cried out. "The city is full of trained killers, each skilled in paw to paw combat with swords, spears, and knives." T Bone just looked at him. "And your point being?" T Bone said, with a large grin on his face. Razor shook his head. "In this case T Bone." Razor said. "We can't go crashing the party, like we always do. We need a plan." "What do you suggest Razor?" T Bone said. "Excuse me, have you seen this guy, He's about 6 foot, brown hair, no fur and tail, and has funny shaped ears. Oh yea, I saw him not long ago, walking with the Red Lynx, down Fifth Avenue." "What's fifth Avenue?" Razor asked. T Bone shrugged. "I don't know." He said. "Troy mentioned it ages ago. It just stuck in my mind." Razor held up his paw. "I get the idea T Bone." He said. "But if we just go rushing in, we probably get captured before we even manage to search one square inch of this place." "We could go to the palace, and search there." Bane said. "He could be there." Razor smiled. "Good work Bane." He said. "Do you know were it is?" Bane shook his head. "Unfortunately, no. I have never been to the Capital City." "Don't worry." T Bone said. "We'll just look for the most out done building, and hope that's our kat." Razor shrugged. "That could work." He said. "We've got nothing left to lose." "Lets go." Bane said, walking of towards the city. Troy put down the pencil, and let out a huge sigh of relief. He looked over the blue prints he had made. He had based the missile on an early V2 rocket design. Placing a lead weight in the nose cone, and projecting how much fuel it would take to reach a curtain target. He glanced over at his companions, two rather large looking guards. "Ahh, look guys." He said. "I'm going to call it a night, o.k." They gave him a strange look. "I'm going to sleep now." Troy said. The guards then understood. "You will sleep over there." One of the guards said, pointing over to a wooden cell over in the corner. "I do all this work for you guys, an the thanks I get is I get to spent the night in the lock up." "You might escape, and Bravo wouldn't like that at all." Troy walked over to the cell, muttering under his breath. "Anything that'll piss him off, will really make me happy." "I heard that human." The guard said. Troy just smiled, as he was shoved into the cell. They locked the door, and left the bunker, leaving Troy all on his own. Troy sighed, and lay down on the small hay stack which was his bed. Troy looked out the small bard window at the full moon in the night sky. He sighed heavily. Why, why did it have to be him. Why did he have to be an astronaut. Why did he volunteer for that mission. Why did Dillion have to start that war. He was beginning to regret ever signing up for the moon mission. He would have been happier just dying in the war, rather than living the life he was now. Suddenly, he was aware of a shadow of a new comer, at the window. He looked up at the figure, well, it was only a head that he could see. "And who might you be?" Troy asked the figure. The head suddenly disappeared. Troy shrugged. Just then, the bricks at the other end of the room, began to move. One brick was pushed out, and out popped what looked like a female cat. She shook herself free of dirt, then looked over at Troy. She did this for a minute, before walking over to his cell. She had dark brown fur, with light brown hair that flowed down past her shoulders in curls. Her eye's were an emerald green. She wore an orange shirt, with a short blue dress. She had a few golden looking bracelets around her wrists, and had two earrings in each ear. She wore strange shoes, which looked more like cloth wrapped around her feet that went half way up her legs. She cocked her head to one side, as she looked at him. She appeared more to be studying him rather. "Hello." Troy said to the creature. It reared back, as if surprised that he'd even speak. "Y-you can talk?" The cat said. It was definitely female. Troy looked surprised. "Didn't you hear me before?" The cat nodded. "I did." She said. "But I had to be sure I heard what I thought I heard." "So why are you here?" Troy said. "Are you really a human?" She asked. Troy sighed. "Yes." He said. She seemed to smile. "Wow." She said. "Did humans really create us?" Troy nodded. "Wow." She said again. "I never thought I'd be looking at our gods." Troy chuckled. "You could call us that." He said. The was a five second silence, before Troy broke it. "So is that it?" He said. "You come all this way, just to see what I am?" "Do you know the human who created us?" She asked with hope. "Yea." He said. "His name's Robert Dillion." "I would have loved to meet him." She said, putting together her paws. Troy frowned. "Trust me." He said. "You don't, he's a real ass hole, a major one too." She looked stunned. "Why?" "He started this whole mess. That's why." He then lay back down on the hay stack. "Now is that it, or is there something else?" She shook her head. "No." She said. Troy lay his head back down on the stack, but he realised that the she cat was still standing there, still looking at him, with it's head cocked to one side, as if she were trying to figure him out. "I do look funny, don't I." He said. "I'm sorry." She said. "I didn't mean to offend you." Troy smiled. "You didn't." He said. "After nine months of it, you get used to it. At first I felt kinda strange, but then, you just forget about it altogether." She smiled. "What is your title?" She asked. "Huh? Oh, Troy, Troy Smith." She gave him a funny look. "Well?" She said. Troy didn't get it. "Well what?" Troy said. "Well, which is it, Troy, or Smith?" It took sometime for Troy to figure it out, but in the end, he got it. "It's both." He said. "I have a first name, and a last name." The cat gave a sharp coughing sound, Troy thought it must be their version of scoffing. "You humans are truly mad." She said. "How ever thought of two names, it's ridicules." Troy smiled. "Say." Troy said. "What's your name, uh, I mean, sign?" "Umeco." She said. Troy raised an eye brow. "It's a pleasure to meet you Ms Umeco." He said. "Now, if you like, could you let me out of here?" She reeled away in horror. "I can't do that!" She cried out. "Bravo will have me killed." "But how can he have you killed, if he doesn't know about it?" Umeco paused. "How do you mean?" She asked. "I mean, how would he know that you did it?" Umeco thought. "You promise not to tell him?" Troy sighed. "Look, lady, why would I want to tell that guy that I've escaped?" "No, I mean, if he recaptures you, do you promise not to dob me in to save your own tail?" "Of cause." Troy said. "Now could please open the damn door?" Umeco walked over to the cage, and undid the lock "You're free." Umeco said, as Troy climbed out of the cage. "Thank you." Troy said. "Now, would you kindly point me in the direction of the cities exit?" Umeco shook her head. "You won't be able to make it alone." She said. "You'll need my help." Troy smiled. "YOU, are willing to help, ME?" He said. Umeco nodded. "O.k." He said. "Lets go." "So were are you going?' Umeco asked. Troy shrugged. "Any were but here." He said. "as far as I'm concerned, the joint is much better than this." Umeco looked at him. "Joint?" He shook his head, and mouthed 'don't ask.' He then ran over to the missile. "I've got to do something before we leave." He climbed up the ladder next to the missile, and opened the cone. Reaching in, he took out the lead weight, boy did it weigh something. Struggling, he carried it down the ladder, and rolled it towards a pile of junk, hiding it. "What did you do that for?" She asked. Troy smiled. "With out the lead weight, the missile, when it's fired will go straight up, and then straight down, wiping out everything in sit." "Is that bad?" She asked. "Yes, and I suggest you leave the city, before it's fired." He looked at her closely. "Do you have a family?" "No." She said sadly. "I was an orphan, living on the streets." Troy breathed a sigh of relief. "Good." He said. "Now, lets get out of here." "Leaving so soon?" A voice that Troy didn't want to here said. "Oh, hi Bravo." Troy said to the figure standing in the door way. "I just wanted to get some fresh air." Bravo snorted. "I don't think so." He growled. He looked over at Umeco. "And you should be ashamed. Helping this freak." "Freak?!" Troy cried out. "Back were I come from, the ladies think I'm a real knock out." Bravo gave him a funny look, before turning back to Umeco. "Your total insane Bravo." Umeco said. "The bomb was too powerful for the humans to control, what makes you think you can control it?" Bravo smiled. "I intend to use it, not let it lie in this bunker, until it is used against me." "Really?" Troy said. "Against what? Who is a big treat to your empire?" Bravo growled. Troy suddenly realised. "You don't really intend to use the warhead at all, do you?" Troy was now under standing it all. "You just want to carry it around, to make it look like your a god. With such power, you'll be able to scare others into surrender. No one will dear threaten you with the power of the Evil Adam." That's the whole plan, isn't it." Bravo narrowed his eyes. "You are indeed smart, but that will not help you now." He moved forward, raising his paws, revealing inch long claws. Troy backed off, but then he stopped, and a large smile spread over his face. "What are you smiling at?" Bravo asked. Troy walked closer to him. "Ever had this feeling that you've been had?" Bravo just looked at him, before being knocked over, by T Bone, as he fly kicked Bravo in the back. Bravo was sent flying into the far wall, were he slammed into it, and slowly slid down it's side. "One down." T Bone said. Razor came in, looking at Bravo. "And on the ground." Next came Bane. He stopped short, when he saw Umeco. She saw him, and looked at him. "You o.k. Troy?" Razor asked. "Now that you guys are here." He said. "What took you so long to get here." "It's such a big place." T Bone said. "It was a little hard, but it was easy, once you saw the palace." "Now that you guys are here, I can get out of this place." He started to leave, when he noticed something. "What's up with those two?" He pointed to Bane and Umeco. They were looking at each other, lovingly. "Who's that?" T Bone asked, pointing at Umeco. "Her name's Umeco." Troy said. "She helped me escape. She's, rather unusual." "Explain?" Razor asked. "No time to explain." Troy said. "We've got to get out of here before Bravo here comes too." They ran out the door, but had to go back in, to retrieve Bane and Umeco, who were still gawking at each other. "Shouldn't we try to take out that missile?" Razor asked, as they bolted from the compound. "No need." Troy said. "I fiddled around with it's insides. If Bravo tries to fire it, It'll land right on top of him. Boy will that give him a big surprise." "What did he plan to do with that thing anyway?" T Bone asked. "Threaten everybody into surrender, so that he could rule out of fear." He looked back at the bunker. "I also noticed that there was a lot more material there than I needed." "Meaning what?" "Meaning that he planned to build more than one." "But I only thought he had one bomb?" "He did." "But why would he build dummy missiles?" "It makes perfect sense. It's pure scare tactics. Detonate one bomb, let every one see it's power, and show them the rest, sore they don't work, but knowledge is power, if they think he has a whole array of missiles, he'll be set for life, no one will dear to rise against him, for fear of being blown to bits." "Oh." Umeco suddenly butted in. "But Troy." She said. "I thought you said that Bravo wasn't going to use the missile?" Troy nodded. "I did." He said. "But that was only to lead Bravo down another track. You see, he thought that he could trick me by pretending that was his plan, but like they say, you can't trick, a trickster. I just pretended to know that, so that he wouldn't get suspicious that I'd been screwing around with his missile. If I'd told him that I knew of his real plan, he would have checked the missile for damage for sure, and seen the damage I'd done to it. I had to make him fire that damn missile, one way or another." "I see." Umeco said. "I think." "Now lets get lost." Troy said, as he headed for the hills, with the group behind him. After awhile, they made it back to the hills , surrounding the city. Troy took a moment to look back at the city, before turning to the SWAT Kats. "Do you think Bravo's alerted the whole city yet?" His question was answered by a loud repeating trumpet horn, and one by one, lights came on in the city. "I'll take that as a yes." T Bone said, as he grabbed Troy's arm, and began running away from the city. They didn't stop running until they could no longer see the city, even on the horizon. "Can we stop now?" Troy asked, puffing heavily. "I need a rest." "We can't stop now." Umeco said. "Bravo will be after us, with a vengeance." "Look lady." Troy said. "Bravo's just one guy. I've got quite a few people after me with a vengeance, so once you get used to it, it really doesn't matter, and all visions of danger gradually fade away." "Your just a popular guy, aren't you Troy." Razor said. "Yep." Troy said with a smirk. "Who would think that in the time space of three million years, I could build up a Troy hating fan club." T Bone entered in on the joke. "Current membership, includes one deranged human, one pumped up cat, one very snobby Commander, and the whole population of Megakat City." Troy laughed. "Impressive isn't it." Laughing, the SWAT Kats, and Troy began to move off. Bane and Umeco, were just left stunned, trying to work out what was so funny. The group continued their trek though the mountains, valleys and fields, as they drew ever closer to Houston Texas, were Robert Dillion was waiting for them. As they drew closer to their destination, they began working on a plan…. "A frontal assault will not work T Bone." Troy said. "How would you know." T Bone said. "You're plans haven't worked so far. Like when you wanted to interrogate Dillion, and ended up making us look bad in the progress." "All I'm saying, is that we walk in, and see what Dillion has planned for us." "With out a plan?" T Bone said. "That's brilliant…." "If we make one up, Dillion will just ruin it, for if you have forgotten, he can see everything we do, and will just foil our plans." "But if we walk in without a backup plan, we'll be helpless. We'll have no power against Dillion." "I know." Troy said. "Scary, isn't it." After a few more hours, they finally arrived at the valley, witch they were heading for. They all stood on the ridge, looking down at the old space centre. "It's huge." Bane said, looking down at the Space Centre. "Is it a city?" Troy shook his head. "Nope." He said. "Just a house of work." He closed his eyes as he thought back to the good old days, before his damned mission. "Snap out of it kiddo." T Bone said. "It's time we made our approach." He looked over at Troy. "You want to make your approach, the idea, were you just walk right in, and hope for the best?" Troy nodded. He then began to walk down the slops of the hill, and towards the abandoned centre. "Wait." Razor called out. Troy turned around to face him. "I'll come with you." Troy smiled, and waited for Razor to catch up with him. Together, they both walked towards the Centre, preparing for the worst. "Welcome to the house of fun." Dillion's voice bombed over a hidden mike. "I thought you'd never make it." "Were here Dillion." Troy called out. "Where's my baby?" "She's right here." They both spun around to see Dillion holding a white bundle. "Here she is Troy." Dillion said with a smile. "You can have her." Troy took a few paces, then stopped. "What's the catch Dillion?" Troy said. Dillion looked offended. In a stupid sort of way. "Catch?" He said sarcastically. "Why do you think there's a catch, I'm offended." Troy slammed his fist into the palm of his hand. "You'll be more than offended, if you've harmed her." Dillion sighed. "Oh my god, I'm going to die." He mumbled with no emotion. "I'd just better give up now, cause I don't stand a chance." He shook his head in disgust. "After all the power I've shown you, that I poses, you still come out with Arnold Schwarzenegger Lines." He rolled his eyes in his head. "What does it take to get across to you that you can't win?" Troy's eyes narrowed to slits. "A lot." He said. "No matter." Dillion said. "The harder you try, the more funnier it is when you fail." "You want to see something funny?" Troy said, clenching his fists. "When I've finished pounding you to pulp, the remains of you, now that'll be funny." Robert shook his head. "You never give up, do you?" Troy nodded. Robert smiled. "No matter." He said. The longer you keep trying, the more exciting it's going to get." "Before you go ahead and send my life into a living hell." Troy said. "There's one question I've been meaning to ask." "Shoot." "Why did you send me to this time period?" "So you could build that missile." Dillion said. "Because, two days from now, Bravo will demonstrate his new power on an unsuspecting city, because you sabotaged the missile, it'll blow up the city, and the Allied States will disappear into the pages of history. Which was supposed to happen anyway. You just had to help it along." "I'm so glad that I could be of service." Troy said. "Now, my daughter." Robert looked down at the bundle. "O.k." He said. "Catch." And with that, he tossed the baby into the air. "NO!!" Troy screamed out, and he rushed forward to catch the baby. He stretched out his arms, and caught the bundle in the nick of time. "What a catch!" Dillion cried out. "And the crowd goes wild!" Troy ignored him. "It's o.k. honey" He said smoothly. "I'm here, daddy's here." He stroked the child's head. Suddenly, he looked down at the child. She wasn't making any sounds. Fearing the worst, he placed his ear to her chest. There was no heart beat. "Oops." Dillion said. "I forgot to tell you. "I kinda snapped her neck. No hard feelings?" Troy raised his eyes to Dillion. Gone was the calm look, gone was the sensible look. Gone was any sort of self control. All that was left was rage, insane rage. "Oh no." Dillion said. "I think I pissed him off." "Troy?" Razor said. "Calm down buddy, there's nothing you can do now, just let it go." A million things were going though Troy's mind. Anger, frustration, guilt, rage, insanity, revenge. For the first time in his life, he wanted to kill somebody. He wanted to cut open Dillion's throat and watch him bleed. He wanted to scalp Dillion, and pull out his brain, and hold it in front of his face. He wanted Dillion to pay. He wanted to kill Razor as well. How dare he suggest he just let it go. What would he know. The fucking asshole. HOW DARE HE!!! This was his child, his daughter, his life. Life he had created, all gone, in an instant. The one thing in the world he loved more than Helen, the only other thing in this word, the one thing that kept him going thought this time zone, was gone. "Oh now I've done it." Dillion said. "He's not talking to me." "What right have you to take her life, Dillion?" Troy growled. Dillion leaned closer, putting his hand to his ear. "What was that Troy?" Dillion said. "I couldn't hear you though your gritted teeth." Troy the let fly with a fast right, connecting with Dillion's right jaw, however, when he did punch Dillion, it felt like punching a brick wall. "AAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!" Troy screamed out loud, as he dropped his dead daughter, and clutched his bruised fist. Dillion stuck his finger in his ear, and wiggled it around. "Did you have to scream so loud?" Dillion complained. Troy let fly with his left, punching Dillion right between the eyes. Receiving the same painful effect. "AAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!" He screamed out as he was now cradling both hands. "Yeah." Dillion said. "That worked real well." Troy looked up at Dillion, and through his tearstricken eyes, he looked at Dillion. "Why?" He cried out. "Why me. Why did you chose me? Wasn't David enough? Did you have to make everyone suffer?" Dillion nodded. "Yes." He said. "I did have to make everyone suffer. Because everyone made me suffer." He clenched his fists. "Everyone deserved to die. From the most sweetest child, to the most insane mad man. The human race is nothing but a germ, an infectious decease that should've been wiped out since its creation." "That's a very nice thing to say about your own species." Troy said. "It's safe for me to say that now Troy." Dillion said. "I'm no longer human, my humanity disappeared millions of years ago. As should the rest of humanity." He raised his fingers, and snapped them. "I say it's time your friends arrived." There was a bright blue flash, and T Bone, Bane, and Umeco all appeared. "What the?!" T Bone cried out "Sorcery!" Umeco cried out. Bane growled. "Demon!" he shouted to Dillion. Dillion smiled. "Yes." He said. "You could call me that." Bane drew his sword . "Don't bother." Dillion said. "It'll do your self no good." Bane brought the sword swinging down on Dillion's neck, but at the last moment, Dillion ducked out of the way, and Bane completely missed. "My turn." Dillion said, as he side kicked Bane in the side of his right leg. Bane screamed out in pain, as he dropped to the ground, clutching his leg. "Bad mistake." T Bone cried, launching himself at Dillion. Dillion just raised both his hands, caught T Bone in mid flight, and flipped him over so that he went to a skidding stop in the dirt. "Beast!" Umeco yelled, she swiped at him with her claws. Her claws drew blood, but the scars quickly healed up, leaving no trace what so ever of her attack. "So close, and yet, so far away." Dillion said, feeling the spot on his check where Umeco had swiped at him. "I love that trick." He raised his hands in the air. "As much as I hate to do it, I must leave now." He was holding his stop watch, a blue blot shot out of it, and opened up a porthole high in the sky. "What are you doing now Dillion?" Troy demanded. "Were going back to the future." He said, imitating Christopher Lloyd. "It's time you saw what's awaiting for you." Then he turned to Troy. "By the way, did it ever occur to you, how was I able to track you?" Troy nodded. "Well, do you remember that lovely she kat who was your doctor when you came back from our first visit." Troy nodded again. "She worked for me. You see, I had her implant you with a tracking device, so that I could follow you ever were. You see, my magic can't follow you all the time. So I had to know where you were, so I paid her off, to implant that little thing in you, the moment you came back from our first encounter. Rather ingenious don't you think. It just goes to show, you can't trust anyone these days." Troy mumbled something, as the SWAT Kats leapt at Dillion, Troy turned to Bane and Umeco. "I guess were leaving now." Troy said to Bane and Umeco. Bane smiled. "I guess you're not as bad as the great book says." Bane said. "Of course." Troy said. "You should never believe every thing you read." "What do we do now?" Umeco asked, as the Porthole began to grow bigger. "Were do we go from here?" "Let fate takes it's course." Troy said. "But first things first. When the Capital City is destroyed, burn all the Great books." Bane looked horrified. "Why?!" Bane cried out. Umeco smiled at him. "It's all a lie, made up from the past, to keep all cats under control of the Allied States." Umeco said. "Everything?" Bane said. "Everything." She said. Bane lowered his head in shame. "I owe you an apology, Troy." Troy smiled. "You called me Troy?" Bane nodded. "If everything was a lie, I must apologise to you." He turned to face Umeco. "Once the Capital City is destroyed, we'll burn all the great books." Umeco turned to face Troy. "You've freed us all from the rule of the Allied States." She said. "Weather they know it or not, every cat in the world, owes you their thanks." Troy looked smug. "Well." He said, with a large grin. "I guess I did." "We'll remember you always Troy Smith." Bane said. "We'll never let the cat race forget the goodness you've done. You are truly greater, than the accent ones." Umeco looked at Troy one again. "Are you sure, that you and the ancient ones are not, one in the same?" She asked. Suddenly, something ran though Troy's mind. He remembered the scroll that Greg Summers had found, on the ancient tribe of the Ho-mun. The creature he'd seen in it looked like a human. He thought for a moment. I wonder, he thought to himself. Could the cats had mistaken the human race, and the early K.A.T.'s for one in the same. Could this have been were it all began? "Yes." He said silently. Bane was taken back. "Let's leave it at that, shall we." "Yes, lets." Said a voice. "Wait a minute." Troy said. "That sounds like…." "RAVEN?!" Bane cried out, as his father emerged from the bushes. "How did you get here?" "I followed." He said. "Out of sight, to make sure everything went all right." "Why?" Troy asked. "You see, Bane is an apprentice warrior, who is not ready to take up arms yet, however." He patted his son on the back. "He has proven himself worthy of such an honour." Bane smiled at his father. "It's best we head for home now." Umeco said to him. Bane looked lovingly back into her eyes. "I'll agree with that, Umeco." He said. With that, they both started to walk off. "Beautiful, aren't they." Raven said. Troy nodded. "Reminds me, of Helen and I." Troy said, wiping away a tear. "I hope they don't meet with the same tragedy history has chosen for me." "Trust me." Raven said. "They won't." "You seem to know everything Raven." Troy said. "Tell me." Raven smiled. "They end up marring, and starting a family, that will one day, start Megalith City." Troy turned to face him. He hadn't studied much of kat history, but he knew enough to know that Megalith City was the beginning of Megakat City. "How did you know that?" Troy asked. "Oh." Raven said. "I know everything." And with that, there was a purple flash, and the Pastmaster appeared. "You?!" Troy cried out. "You are Raven?" The Pastmaster nodded. "Yes." The Pastmastmer said, with a sly grin. "That's me." "Your Bane's father?" "Yes." Troy was stunned. "Then you really weren't blind." The Pastmaster shook his head. "No." "Why?" "Why? Why not. I mean, you tend to get lonely though out the centuries." The Pastmaster said. "When I was young, I first began time travelling, I meet Bane's mother, and I feel in love with her, I knew she would never fall for me, being like this, so I chose to approach her in another form. I chose the form of Raven. "Why do you look like that?" Troy asked. The Pastmaster sighed. "When I first discovered the Tomb of Time, I was young and irresponsible, I found a spell on how to become immortal, however, it had it's price. I wasn't thinking straight then, but I sold my soul for that power. A choice I regret even today. I can change myself into many forms, but not back into my original form." "I'm sorry." Troy said. "I didn't know. "No one did." The Pastmaster said. "You probably wouldn't believe me when I say this, but I would do anything, to trade places with you." "Really?" Troy said. The Pastmaster nodded. "Yes, even though your family has been killed by Dillion, I still wouldn't mind a trade." "Say." Troy said. "Speaking of Dillion, I wonder what happened to him?" Troy's question was soon answered as T Bone was sent sailing over their heads, and landed on the ground, in a heap. A few seconds later, Razor soon joined him. Razor moaned, as he picked himself up of the ground. "Oooohhhh." He moaned, looking over at T Bone. He gave him a dirty look. "Get him. That was your whole plan?" "At least I had one." T Bone said. They all turned around to face Dillion. The Porthole had reached it's maximum width, and was ready. "Let's rock." Dillion said, as he raised his hands, and pointed them towards the Space Centre. They all gasped, except for the Pastmaster, as the whole Space Canter was lifted of the ground, and began to float up into the air. Then it flew into the porthole, and vanished, along with Dillion. "Great." T Bone said. "Now how are we supposed to get home?" "Fear not SWAT Kat." The Pastmaster said. "For I shall do that, personally." T Bone saw the Pastmaster. "YOU?!" He cried out. He lunged at the Pastmaster, but suddenly, the world went bright purple, and everything went white. "I'll tear you into…?!" He stopped, and looked around. They were back in the hanger. "How do you like that." Razor said. "He helped us." "No." Dillion said from behind them. "He just sent you back here so that you could try to stop me." T Bone growled at him, but didn't leap. "So what's the plan we've got to stop, Dillion?" Troy asked. Dillion smiled. "Do you remember, this?" A whirlpool appeared out of nowhere, and a picture formed. "The international space station?" Troy said. He looked over at Dillion. "I won't ask." He said. Dillion laughed. "Now your learning." He said. "I guess you are a bright boy." He turned his attention back to the porthole. "You see, I've planted some rather special canisters on that station." He turned back to Troy. "I've got this bomb on there you see. It's an old design. I called it, a thermo Bomb. You see, this bomb, when it detonates, I ignites all the air molecules around it, turning them into fire. It's more powerful than the atomic bomb. I've got this little hide out, that I've been launching all my operations from This is the fun part. I call it death scavenger hunt. If you fail to find my hideout in the set time, you all die. Fun, wouldn't you all say?" They all gave him a dirty look. "Even for the whole family." T Bone said. Dillion winked at him. "Spot on." He then looked at his watch. "Lets give you, ooohhhhh. Twenty - four hours." He looked back up from his watch. "The hunt starts…..NOW!!" There was a flash of blue light, and he disappeared. "I think you guys better warn the authorities." Troy said. "They might not believe me." "Ok." Razor said, as he and T Bone headed for the Turbo Kat. "We'll do just that." Troy started to follow, when T Bone turned around and shoved his paw in his face. "You're staying here Troy." He said. "Your public enemy number one at the moment, so your not leaving this hanger, got it?!" Troy nodded. "Good." T Bone said. He then turned to Razor. "LETS ROCK!!" They both shouted, as they jumped into the jet, and blasted off. "Jess." Troy said, sitting down. "I never get any fun." He pulled himself up to the table, and thought for a moment. Were would Dillion keep a secret H.Q. In a city this big, it could be anywhere. "Wait a minute." He cried out. He ran over to a table with maps on it. Picking up the maps, he found a map of the whole city. He scanned the map for suspicious sites. He could be in the park, the sewers, the mountains, or even the sky. "Were are you Dillion?" Troy said to himself. Just then, his eyes fell upon the abandoned building district. He went to the rubbish bin, and rummaged though them for old papers, picked up a few old newspapers, but finally found what he was looking for. The market section in a newspaper, that was more than a year old. In the section, he went to real-estate property. He looked for a name he thought might lead him to Dillion. He did this with a few newspapers, until he finally he found what he was looking for. "Gorge Brownlee, purchased some real-estate area in that sector. Now why would any kat do that, unless they were hiding some one. Namely, Dillion." He tossed the News paper aside, and ran for the phone, when he stopped. "I don't know the SWAT Kat's phone number." He said. "I don't even know if they have a phone at all." "You don't need to." Troy turned around to see the Pastmaster. "Then what am I supposed to do then?" He asked. The Pastmaster shrugged. "That's totally up to you Troy." He said. "Just get there." The Pastmaster raised his paw, and Troy vanished. "How?" Troy asked. Then he realised that he wasn't in the hanger anymore. He looked around, and saw all the abandoned buildings. He smiled. He quickly ran into a nearby ally, to avoid being seen. When he arrived, he smiled even wider. There was a life line bin. He opened it up, and dug out a disguise he needed. Five Hours later…… The Turbo Kat soared over the roof tops of Megakat City, looking for possible hideouts for Robert Dillion. The Enforcers were looking as well, but the SWAT Kats doubted that they could find it. "This is impossible." T Bone said, as they ran the X-Ray scanner over another street. "It's like looking for a needle in a hay stack. Were the hell could it be?" "We just have to keep looking T Bone." Razor said. "We have to find it. "We just have to." Megakat City Hall…. Callie was buys writing the Mayors press release about the City going to be destroyed, when the phone rang. She sighed, as she picked it up. This better not be Mayor Manx again. "Yes Mayor?" She said into the Phone. "Ms. Briggs?" She recognised that voice straight away. "Troy? Troy Smith?" She cried out. "Yes it's me." Troy said from the other side of the phone line. "Just listen up to what I have to say." Callie leaned back. "I'm listening." She said. "O.k." Troy said. "First things first. Do you still have that communicator, that contacts the SWAT kats?" "Yes." "Good." Troy said. "I want you to contact the SWAT Kats, and tell them to meet me at the following coordinates I'm about to give you…" "Why?" "I've found Dillion's hideout." Twenty minutes later…. The Turbo Kat soared though the city, until it came to the coordinates that Troy had given Callie. "This is the spot T Bone." Razor said. "Set her down." T Bone engaged the VTOL mode, and landed the Turbo Kat in the street. The few kats who were walking past, all turned their heads to see the sight of the SWAT Kats. "O.k." T Bone said, looking around. "Now what?" A Homeless kat walked up to them. "Hi guys." The homeless kat said to them. "Troy?" Razor said. "Is that you?" Troy pulled of the dirty old rag he was using to cover himself. "Sure is." He said. "Now come on, I've found Dillion's hideout." T Bone stopped him. "How did you managed to get out here, and find it, before we did." "It's a long story." He said. "But I just borrowed this old rag, and made myself look like a bum, and just sat around, waiting for anything suspicious to show up. And when it did, I followed him, until he lead me to this building." Troy pointed to the building behind them. "There're in there." He said. T Bone began marching towards the door. "Lets go pound some heads." T Bone said. But before he could go, Troy grabbed him. "Not though there." He said. He headed around to the side of the building. "This way." The SWAT Kats shrugged, and followed. They followed Troy around to the side of the building, were they found a metal door. Troy pointed at it and whispered "In there. You have to knock three times slowly, then three times fast." They both nodded, and walked over to the door. Razor knocked three times slowly, then three times fast. "Who is it?" A voice from the other side said. T Bone puffed up his chest. "It's me, Gorge Brownlee." He said, sounding exactly like him. "Open up." "What's the password?" T Bone looked horrified. Troy never said anything about a password. "SCREW YOU!!" T Bone shouted, as he prepared to fly kick the door down. The voice on the other end laughed. "Close enough." He said, as he opened the door, only to be sent flying by T Bone's kick to the face. T Bone saw what he had done, and shrugged. They ran inside, only to be confronted by twelve humans, with machine guns. "Oops." T Bone said, as he and Razor both put their paws up. Meanwhile, Troy had been listening to everything that had been going on. When he heard the SWAT Kats surrender, he ran in after them. "Were is he?" Troy demanded, as he ran into the room. They all turned to face Troy. "The boss ain't here." One of them said. "Now, hands up." Troy did as he was told. Usually, Dillion was always there, but not this time. Were was that little S.O.B. hiding. "So glad you could make it." A female voice said. They group parted to let in a human woman. "Who are you?" Troy asked. "My name, is Lucy Orr, the soon to be wife of Robert Dillion." Troy shook his head. "You poor, poor woman." He said. Lucy gritted her teeth. "I wouldn't say that about him if I were you." "But you're not me, so there for, I can say it." She walked up to him, and kneed him in the stomach. "Watch your tongue." She said. She took a step back to admire the three captives. "Well, there here, just like Robert said. She began to walk away. She then singled to the group. "Bring them." She said. "We have to show them what Robert wanted me to show them." They walked though the building, until they came to a large room, with a huge radio in it. She turned to face them. "What happens now?" T Bone asked. "Well." Lucy said. "If this were a t.v. show. This would be the part were the evil villain reveals the sinister plot. "Which is?" Razor asked. "What ever Robert told you was a lie." She started. "You see, do you all remember when that dead human showed up in Port Moranda?" They all nodded. "Well, did you ever wonder why he was there?" They all nodded again. "Well, he wasn't only in Port Moranda, but he was all over the glob, visiting every MegaCities in the world, distributing thousands of DNA bombs, just like the one you witnessed two days ago at Pumadyne. Innocuous looking things, and pretty harmless left to themselves." She smiled, and Troy shuddered. She was too much like Dillion. "But the bombs need a trigger, a catalyst, before they will detonate around the world. She pointed to the control panel. "The international space station, is the key. There really is no Thermo Bomb, there never was. That was just a cleaver ploy to get you all worked up. Once we radio our good friend up there, he'll see off a signal that will travel back down to earth, and set of the bombs. Everybody's going to be nothing more than primordial soup." They all began to laugh. T Bone and Razor both growled, as they struggled to get free. The SWAT Kats watched helplessly as Lucy began pressing buttons on the control panel. "NO!" He shouted, as he threw both humans holding him, into Lucy Orr. She was flattened by them, which gave T Bone the chance he needed, grabbing one of the machine guns, he sprayed the panel with bullets, until it exploded, and went dead. "That will do you no good." Lucy said, laughing. "I've already sent the signal. It's on it's way to space. You have twenty minutes before all the bombs go off." Razor got up, and turned to T Bone. "Forget about them." He said. "We've got to blow up that station." They then turned on their heels, and fled outside before anyone could stop them. "Let them go." Lucy said, as she watched the SWAT Kats run out the door. "We know what's going to happen, don't we." They all began laughing. Suddenly, a formula voice, bombed out over a mike. "This is Commander Feral." It shouted. "Come out with your paws up." "Show 'em that we mean business boys." Lucy said to the gang. They all smiled, and began running all over the place. They went to separate windows of the buildings. They all looked down into the streets, a crowd had gathered, along with a lot of Enforcers. "Let's waste the suckers." Some one said, and all the men, began firing into the streets. Citizens all screamed as they ran for cover. Bullets rained down into the streets below. "All right, if that's the way they're going to play it." He raised his bomb mike. "All Enforcers, return fire!" The Enforcers who were hiding behind cars, suddenly opened up with fir power of their own, spraying the building, aiming for the muzzle flashes from the dark windows. Troy could only sit in the corner, with his hands over his ears, as the noise from the gun fight was deafening. Just then, he saw two of the thugs, getting a rocket launcher ready, the thing was huge, and it looked like they were planning to use it. With out them seeing him, Troy crept up from behind the two, and waited for them to fire, just before the pulled the trigger, he jumped at the one aiming the rocket. Tackling him, the rocket was shot upwards, into the sky, and exploding, harmlessly. "Big mistake." One of them said, as he walked towards Troy. The other, was buys nursing his back, for Troy did tackle him at an odd angle. "Want to see something I learnt from the SWAT Kats?" he said. He raised his right hand in the air, and began waving it around. "And what will that accomplish?" The thug asked sarcastically. "This." Troy said, and with his left fist, he slammed it right into the jaw of the thug, knocking out. Troy shook his left hand, as he looked at his handy work. "damn I'm good." He said, as he walked up to the other thug, and kicked him in the head. As the racket continued, he looked around the room. Dillion's always found me. He thought. Maybe if I ask for him, he'll come and get me. "Dillion?!" he cried out. "Were are you?!" No sooner had he shouted this, then he was enveloped in a bright blue light, and he disappeared. Meanwhile, the thugs, that Dillion had hairdo, were losing their fight against the Enforcers rather rapidly. All ready, five were dead. Leaving only twelve left standing. They had re grouped, in the buildings basement. They were discussing their options. "So what do we do." One of them said. "Do we give up, or fight to the end?" "I don't want to surrender." One whined. "If we surrender, they'll put us in jail, or a zoo, or a science lab, or much worse." "Snap out of it, they wouldn't do that to us, right?" Everyone shrugged. "I don't want to end up on a lab table." One said. "I'd rather die." "Yeah!" "Me two." "Yeah, me three." "Now hold on." Another said. "We really don't know if they're going to do that to us, or not." "How do you know, if they won't?" He was stumped. "If you all want." He said. "We can all drink poison." Everyone looked at each other. "Give us the poison." One said, and they all nodded. "Very well." They all walked over to a desk, and pulled out a drawer. Inside, were some blue test tubes. Each person was handed one. They pulled the tops off, and looked at each other. "I never thought it would come to this." One thug said. "Bottoms up." They all drank the poison at the same time. "You know." One thug said. "It doesn't taste that bad." Then he dropped dead, along with everyone else. "Bye, bye." Lucy Orr said, as she watched them commit suicide. She turned off the t.v. monitor, and leaned back in her chair. She knew, that Dillion would come back for her. She waited patiently for the Enforcers to find her. They charged into the room, and she calmly stood up, and raised her hands above her head. They looked at her for a moment, before one Enforcer walked over and slapped the cuffs on her, and began reading her, her rights. Lucy smiled, as they lead her out of the room. She knew, that Dillion would come and rescue her on her way to the jail house. Dillion had everything planned. Troy looked around. He was back in the Pastmaster's temple. Dillion was floating about two feet of the ground, in a sitting position. "Took you longer than I anticipated, M'boy." He shook his head. "You just keep disappointing me." He stood up, and floated back down to the ground. "I assume the truth has been revealed." "Why are you doing this Dillion?" Troy asked, though clenched teeth. "You created the kats, why are you destroying them?" Dillion laughed out loud. "Despite what my men might have told you, that is far from the truth. They won't die. They'll simply be reduced to their component DNA structure. Then, when I deem fit, I'll reform them in my own image, and to my own bidding." "Your insane Dillion." Troy said. "Oh really, it's taken you this long to figure that out?" Troy ran at him, but Dillion held out his hand, and Troy was stopped, and then he began to raise up into the air. "Look at you Troy." He said. "You still dance to what ever tune I play. As you have since I started this whole game. As soon, the entire world!" He twisted his hand, so that Troy was now floating upside down. "And now, Our little melodrama is coming to it's inevitable conclusion. You had to have known that sooner or later one of us was going to have to die." He began walking towards Troy. "I am speaking of a real death. None of this returning from the grave." A smile spread across his face. "I have managed it once, but I would not recommend such a thing for mere mortals." "But why did you kill Helen, and Shera?" Troy yelled at him. "They did nothing to you." Robert didn't give his usual smirk. "They, like the rest of the population of this planet, are nothing more than tools, fodder for the greatest advance in human evolution since man crawled out of the swamps and stood upright." "What the hell are you talking about?" Troy asked. "You'll never find out, so don't bother asking." Dillion said. "Now, were was I? Oh yea. The time has come Troy." He dropped his hand back down beside him, and Troy fell to the floor. "The time has come for the world to learn the true power which is Robert Dillion." His eye's narrowed to slits. "The power of a god!" Troy got back up on his feet. "You really don't believe you can win, do you Dillion?" Dillion smiled. "What makes you say that?" "Lets just say I don't like to give up." He threw a punch at Dillion. Dillion laughed, and caught it with ease. "Still trying to defeat me, hay Troy?" He threw his fist forward sending Troy flying to the other end of the temple. "Probably makes you fell less helpless than you already are." He walked over to the Time Hole, standing right in the middle of the temple. "Now." He said. "I'm going to show your final failure, as we watch the destruction of the SWAT Kats." Troy shook his head, and looked up at the Time Hole. A purple mist appeared in the middle, and it turned into what looked like a whirlpool, then a picture formed. It showed the Turbo Kat, shooting upwards into the sky, then a metal canopy covered the cockpit, and four jet engines appeared out of the back of it. Then with a burst of speed, it broke free of the gravitational pull of the planet, and began to shoot it's way though space, towards the Space Station. "Watch." Dillion said, as if this were his favourite part in a movie. The Turbo Kat began to level off as it approached the station. Suddenly, the station began firing some sort of Defense laser. A long red streak of laser shot out from the station and began shooting at the Turbo Kat. The jet did all sorts of maneuvers but it was to no avail. A lucky shot struck the jet on it's under belly, and it spun out of control. But before it began to tumble back down to Earth, it fired off several missiles. "So long Heroes." Dillion said with a smirk as he watched the Turbo Kat spinning away back down towards the planet. He turned back to Troy lying on the ground. "They wont be able to regain control of their jet in time, and it explodes in the atmosphere, killing them both." He grinned. "Despite every bit of effort by every crock, gangster, terrorist, and super villain in this city, I've managed to perform what only the lowest scum on this earth could only dream of doing." He towered over Troy, like a King Cobra over it's pray. "I've killed the SWAT Kats!" He began to laugh, an evil laugh, that echoed around the temple. He then picked up Troy by his collar and lifted him high of the ground. "I grow weary of you Troy." Dillion said. "This is it buddy boy. No more riddles, no more mind games, this is the end. You wanted it to be over, now it is. Welcome to endgame, and like I said before, I win, and you lose." He roared with laughter. Suddenly, his laughed was suddenly interrupted by an enormous explosion. Dillion spun around to face the Time Hole. What he saw made his jaw drop. The missiles the Turbo Kat had fired, before being shot out of the air, had hit the Space Station. The station gave a small puff of orange as it silently exploded in space. The Time Hole allowed sound to enter the temple, but it didn't stop Dillion from realising that something had screwed up. "What the hell, is going on here?!" He cried out, as he watched the station split into millions of pieces and float away into space. Troy weakly looked up at Dillion, and saw something he'd not seen in Dillion, ever. Fear. Just then, there was a puff of purple smoke, and the Pastmaster stood in front of Troy. "Everything." The Pastmaster said. "History is playing it's course. Like it should." Dillion didn't get it. "But that's not the way it happened." He said. "It wasn't supposed to happen like that." He pointed at the giant golden ring. "The Time Hole showed me. You showed me. You said nothing could change the future, WHAT HAPPENED??!!" The Pastmaster grinned. "Yes." He said. "It is true, that I showed you this. But I only allowed you to see, what I wanted you to see." Dillion's face turned into one of confusion. "What to you mean?" He asked. "What I mean, my dear boy, is this. The Time Hole is capable of showing one the past, present and future, and sending one there. It is also capable of many other things, including ILLUSION." Dillion's face turned into one of absolute horror. "But why?" Dillion asked. "You said this was my destiny, and you were going to help me get my revenge." The Pastmaster shook his head. "When you've been me, for a while, you tend to get board after a few hundred centuries of seeing all there is to see. So you want to have a little fun. However, genocide is not my idea of having a good time. I may be a bad guy, but I'm not a monster." Dillion growled. "You forgot one thing Pastmaster." He cried out. The Pastmaster just yawned. "Really?" He said. "And what's that?" Dillion aimed his stop watch at the Pastmaster. "I am Robert Harlem Dillion, and I possess all the power you have. I know everything there is to know. I know the secretes of the universe. I can not be killed. I am your superior!" He fired a blue blot of electricity at the Pastmaster. The blot hit him, and was deflected away, leaving nothing as to ever hint that he'd fired upon the Pastmaster. "Mr Dillion." The Pastmaster said, walking towards him. "You may nearly know everything I do, but I depends on how you use it, not what you've got that counts." He raised his watch at Dillion. "I know more than you do Dillion. I allowed you learn only what I wanted you to know, for if you learnt everything I know, You'd have found out the truth about the future." He fired a bolt of purple energy at Dillion. Dillion was enveloped in a bright purple light. He shook as he was obviously trapped inside this force field of energy. "As for being my superior, I hardly think so." He came closer to Dillion so that he was only a meter away from him. "Consider this Dillion. You can possess the power of a god, but there is always someone who is smarter, stronger and even more powerful than you!" Dillion began to rise of the ground. "In your case, it's me." Then, Dillion was surrounded by what looked like a purple grid, then it vanished, along with Dillion. "What happened?" Troy said, getting up of the ground. The Pastmaster turned to face Troy. "The end of a horrible nightmare my dear boy." He said. "It's over. Dillion's gone" Troy looked around him. "Where?" "I sent him to the one place, not even he could escape from. No were." Troy was stumped. "Huh?" The Pastmaster smiled. "I sent him to limbo, as you call it. It's no were, and every were. It depends on how you look at it. He can't escape because it's the axis for all time, he'll before falling though time forever. He'll never die, but never, will he grow younger. Dillion is invincible, but he can be stopped." Troy clicked his fingers. "That's what you meant, when you said I couldn't kill Dillion, but I could trap him." "Exactly." The Pastmaster said. Suddenly, Troy remembered something. "Oh my god, the SWAT Kats, are they all right?" The Pastmaster nodded. "They're fine. They do regain control of their jet, and make it safely back to earth." "Well, I beat the bad guy, stopped his evil plan, and saved the day." Troy said. "So what happens now?" The Pastmaster smiled. "Well, for starters, you don't go to Disney Land." Troy laughed at that. "You instead go home." And with that, they vanished from the temple. Pumadyne, the next day… Troy sat in his room, listing to the CD he was playing, he didn't care if anyone heard it, in fact, he didn't care about anything at all. The eastern world, is exploding, violence flaring and the bullets are loading. Your old enough to kill, but not for voting. You don't believe in war, then what's the gun you're toting? And even the Jordan River, has bodies floating and you tell me over and over and over again my friend, Oh you don't believe, we're on the eve, of destruction. Don't you understand what I'm trying to say? Can't you feel the fears, I'm feeling today? If the button is pushed, There's no running away, There'll be no one to save, With the world in a grave. Take a look around you boy, It's bound to scare you boy, and you tell me over and over and over again my friend, Oh you don't believe, we're on the eve, of destruction. My blood's so mad, fells like coagulating. I'm sitting here, Just contemplating. You can't twist the truth, it knows no regulation, hand full of senators, don't pass legislation, and marches alone, won't bring innovation, when human respect, is disintegrating, the whole fucking world, is just too frustrating, and you tell me over and over and over again my friend, Oh you don't believe, we're on the eve, of destruction. Think of all the hate, there is in Red China. And take a look around, in your own back yard. You may leave here, for four days in space. But when you return, it's the same old place. The pounding of the drums, the fright and disgrace. You can bury your dead, and don't leave a trace. Hate your next door neighbour, but don't forget to say your grace, and you tell me over and over and over again my friend, Oh you don't believe, we're on the eve, of destruction…. The music came to an abrupt stop, as Troy pushed the stop button on the CD player. When the kats found that tomb with Wassaw and his crew in it, they had found a lot of CD's that Troy had picked out, for himself. Were was that kat? He was supposed to be here ten minutes ago. The door slowly opened. "Mr Smith?" The kat said. "Enter." Troy said. "Mr Smith." The kat said, as he came in. "I followed the instructions to the letter, but…" "But what?" Troy growled. The Kat held out a bottle. "The alcohol continence of this drink you requested is highly dangerous…" "Just give me the damn thing!" Troy cried out, swiping the bottle out of the kats paw. The kat gasped slightly, and bolted out the door. "Idiot." Troy said, as he pore some of the liquid from the bottle into a shot glass. Imagine all this trouble, over one bottle of Vodka. He raised the shot glass to his lips, and drank it all in one go. He brought the glass back down, as he felt the effects of the Vodka. He didn't care if it killed him. No one liked him anymore. He couldn't prove that Gorge Brownlee was working for Dillion. Lucy Orr refused to speak to anyone, even her own lawyer. She kept blaming Troy for murdering her boy friend. He didn't murder Dillion, but then again, he couldn't prove that he didn't. Dillion may be gone, but his legacy of terror still lived on. Troy was framed beyond belief. The SWAT Kats showed up to testify for Troy, but they'd been no help at all. Gorge had seen to that, by banning them from the trial. In the end. Troy was confined to the grounds of Pumadyne for ten years. Some way to live the rest of your life, he thought bitterly. "I guess the hero doesn't all ways win in the end." Troy spun around to see the Pastmaster. "Oh." He said. "It's you." He turned back to his drink. "Just leave me alone." The Pastmaster walked up to him, and watched him gulp down another shot of Vodka. "Your going to kill your self." The Pastmaster said. "Like I care." Troy said. He pored another. "Right about now, life really sucks. To tell you the truth, I'm actually wishing that it'll kill me." The Pastmaster shook his head. "Tell me something Troy." He said. "does this scene feel formula?" Troy thought for a moment. Then a voice popped into his head. A voice he hadn't heard in a long time. "Like I care, It's not every day you wake up and find your self responsible for the death of your entire race. Right now, I couldn't care less what you do to me." Troy shook his head clear. He spun towards the Pastmaster. "You did that on purpose, you little freak!" He cried. The Pastmaster shrugged. "Maybe, maybe I didn't. I just wanted you to know what you were doing, and how you were going to end up, just like David. Another victim of Robert Dillion. A finally act of vengeance from internal imprisonment." Troy couldn't believe it. "If I kill myself." He said. "I would have gone though all this for nothing, and Robert would have won anyway." The Pastmaster nodded. "Exactly." He said. "You can't let Robert win, after all he's put you though." "Your right." Troy said. "I can't let him win, I won't let him win." He then dropped back into his chair. "But he's half won. My life is a living hell, all thanks to him." "To think, you've never killed anyone in your inter life, yet you were almost about to kill yourself. But don't worry about your little drama. You'll get over it, soon." Troy looked over at the Pastmaster. "How?" He asked. "You'll find out." He said. Troy decided to change the subject. "Hay." He said. "I just thought of something. What will happen to the human race, now that I've totally screwed up our chances of ever getting into anyone's good books?" "The human race will live on, until the earth's distraction my boy." "But if my daughter is dead, how is the human race supposed to survive?" Troy asked. "The human race as you know it, will cease to exist, after a short period of time." The Pastmaster said. Tory's eyes flew wide open. "WHAT?!" He cried out. "But I thought you said the Human race will live on until the Earth's death." The Pastmaster nodded. "That's right." He said. "Then HOW, in Gods ass, is that supposed to happen, if the human race is going to disappear after a short period of time?" The Pastmaster held up a finger to silence him. "I said the human race AS YOU KNOW IT, will cease to exist, I didn't say the human race." Troy frowned. "Huh?" He said. "Mr Smith." The Pastmaster said. "When the Killing Artificial Troopers were first created, your government only created MALES, and no Females." "What are you getting at?" Troy asked. "What I'm saying is, that after the war ended, the K.A.T.'s had no more human masters, and were free to do what ever they wanted…" "And?" Troy said, impatiently. "And, before the nuclear winter killed of the remaining humans, there was some inter species breeding." Tory's eye's went larger than his head. "WHAT?!!" He screamed out. "You heard me correctly." The Pastmaster said. Troy couldn't believe it. "You mean, that a male K.A.T., and a female human…." He did a few motions with his hands, and the Pastmaster nodded. "MY GOD!!" Troy cried out, shaking his head, trying to throw a dirty image out of his head. "That's the truth Mr Smith, or would you like to see for your self…." Tory's hand flew up. "I'll pass on that offer, thank you." He said. "I just want to know, what's that got to do with the human race still living on?" "Mr Smith." The Pastmaster said. "Did you ever wonder how all those special talents you gave us disappeared over three million years?" Troy looked confused. "The kats of today, are part human. They are still the K.A.T.'s they were, three million years ago, but they didn't have the human made genes in them. As your race cost breed with mine, you passed on your genes, DNA, and everything else, on to us. So every kat in the world, is half human, half kat." "So, the kats of today, are actually the descendants of man, in a different form?" "Yes." The Pastmaster said. "Just like that book, 'Earthsong' "Wow." Troy said softly. "I just wish we managed to accomplish more than we already had, like colonize Mars, or land a space craft on another planet outside this solar System." "Mr Smith." The Pastmaster said. "The only thing which mankind has managed to do since its creation, is fight amongst themselves. And I must admit, you did a very good job of that." "But we had times of peace." Troy said. "How long did they last?" "We had the League of Nations, and the United Nations…" "The League of Nations never accomplished anything, and even with the United Nations, you still managed to fight wars. Like Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf, and finally, the 3rd World War." "But we came so far, as a species, there could be more we could have learnt." The Pastmaster shook his head. "Your spices was doomed to failure, ever since it was born. A proper species takes time in technological advancement, your species shot straight up the ladder of technology. New ideas are meant to be slowly absorbed, take it's time, but everything happened to fast with your species." "Could there have been a way to prevent it?" Troy asked. "Maybe if your species had reached a curtain stage, you might have realised the danger and avoided it, but you were a little too slow." Troy suddenly thought of something. "What about the kat race." He said. "I've heard they fought major wars." "Yes they did." He said. "But they had peace more than you ever did. They didn't have car bombers, or terrorists, or nations to have a cold war with, they'll hopefully reach that stage." "Will they?" Troy asked. The Pastmaster shrugged. "Some things are best left untouched." He said. "But you know, don't you." Troy said. The Pastmaster nodded. "I just wish I could have said good by to my family before I blasted off." Troy said. "I mean, I thought I'd be back by Friday, maybe even catch a flick. I had no idea I'd be returning three million years later…" "Three million, and two years, four months, six days, and…" Troy stopped the Pastmaster in his tracks. "I get the idea." He said. "But what I really want, is a chance to say good by to my old family, before I disappeared, please, will you let me?" "Speaking of which, do you remember Jenny?" The Pastmaster said. Troy looked up to face him. "What's my sister go to do with this?" He asked. "Well, she was one of the founders of next generation of the human r…" "Say no more." Troy said, turning away. "I get the picture, she screwed a kat….." He suddenly stopped dead in his tracks. He slowly turned around to face the Pastmaster. "OH MY GOD!" He said. The Pastmaster nodded. "I know what your thinking, and the answer's yes." Troy was silent for a few moments. "That means that she had children, how were kats, who had children who were kats, who had children who were kats, who gave birth to nearly every freaking kat on this planet." He shook his head. "I'm the great, great, great, great, great, well, you get the idea, Granduncle of every kat in this city?" The Pastmaster shook his head. "Not every kat, about two thirds of the cities population, including the SWAT Kats, the good Commander, Dr Sinian, The Deputy Mayor, even Greg Summers. You have other relatives living in other corners of the world, but you're not going to ask about them, I know that." Troy didn't know what to say. "Should I tell them?" Troy asked. The Pastmaster shook his head. "It's better if they didn't know." He said. Troy turned to the Pastmaster. "So what do I do now?" The Pastmaster shrugged. "It's your life, not mine, you live it the way you want to. After all, you only have a limited amount of time left. You'll die of a hart attack at age eighty-seven. But you wouldn't have to worry about that for the moment, after all, your only thirty-one." Troy thought for a moment. "You already know what I have planned, don't you." The Pastmaster nodded. "That I do." He reached into his cloak, and pulled out what looked like a stop watch, similar to Dillion's, and handed it to Troy. "It'll take some time to learn everything, but once you know, you'll get the hang of things." Troy looked at the object in his hand. "Ya know something," he said, smiling at the Pastmaster. He smiled back, and they both spoke the same words. "I've always wanted to be a cowboy." Some were, No where, Every were….. The Axis of Time is a mighty place. It looks like the inside of a tornado. The spinning, swirling walls are all grey and there are huge rocks floating around. If anyone had been watching this particular scene at that particular point of time, they would have seen a man falling though the tornado. As he was falling, he was screaming. Screaming out cries of fear, cries of anger, but most importantly, cries of revenge. "Some one once said, that those who the Gods destroy, they first make mad. They say that we are just an unfinished work of art, part tragedy, part comedy, part joy, part misery . We're just a work in progress, but for the moment, we're still painting and writing in the blood and suffering of others. However someday, when it all dries, it will be magnificent. But until then, like all art, it's as messy as hell." - James El Jones.
