This is an attempt at a Pokémon crossover. This fan fic was a request by someone named Arcanine. For those of you who are fans of the show, I apologize if I mess this up badly. I really should watch that show more often. Anyway, here goes nothing. ---------------------------------------- Battle Pokémon By Kari Gilmore Chapter 1: "No way! You gotta be kidding!" Katney said as she, Ann, and Tigera were in a fast food restaurant one evening. Tigera was smiling and showing Ann and Katney the diamond ring on her finger. "Chance finally popped the question?" Ann asked, swallowing a bite of her cheeseburger. Tigera nodded. "Yeah. Last night was a night to remember, girls. He took me to the Rosemary Café, we spoke a few lines from Romeo and Juliet that we did from junior high, he took me outside, and then he proposed," she said, giving off a dreamy sigh. "You go, girl," Katney said, giving Tigera a high four. She chewed on a few french fries while Tigera sipped her Coke. "I'm surprised. The Rosemary Café was where Buster was poisoned," Ann said, eating away on her cheeseburger. "Aye, aye, whatever. Slow down, Annie! You're gonna get hiccups," Katney said. "I'm more worried about her choking," Tigera said. "Sorry, Katney. For some reason, I've been extra hungry lately. Changing the subject, I wonder what the boys are doing," Ann said. "Probably giving Chance some noogies or something. I'm still trying to understand males," Katney said, swallowing the fries. ---------------------------------------- Meanwhile in the Swat Kats' hangar, Jake and Buster slammed Chance down to the ground. "Get off my back!" Chance said, laughing a little. "Just wait till after the wedding. Tigera ain't gonna untie you from the bed the whole honeymoon. I speak from experience," Jake said, grinning and pinning Chance's shoulders to the ground. "And you didn't enjoy it, Jake?" Buster asked. "You kidding? I was sad to see it end! But be careful when she brings out the whip, buddy." "Yeah, the whip I'm gonna use on your tails if you don't get off me!" Chance said, turning over and pushing both kats away with his feet. He got up, dusted himself off, and then got put into a headlock by Buster. "Aww, c'mon, Chance. Let us tease ya. We're having so much fun," Buster said in a toothy grin while giving Chance a few noogies. Chance growled and threw Buster over his shoulder. "Just wait, Buster. You're gonna be in the same position when you pop the question to Ann," he said, putting his baseball hat back on. "Yeah, when are you gonna ask her? We all know you guys get married," Jake asked. "You sure we get married first? Maybe we had the kittens first," Buster asked jokingly. "That's not till after the wedding, Whitetail," Chance said. "We're not traditional, Chance. Katney and I had Skylar before we got married. You and Tigera aren't married yet, but... you know..." "Oh, so it's OK for you two, but you won't let me and Ann have any fun. Am I right?" Buster asked. Chance and Jake looked at each other, then back at Buster. "Yep," they both replied. "OK, whose tail should I kick first?" Buster asked himself, stroking his chin. "Yours!" both Jake and Chance said, pouncing on Buster and wrestling with him. They stopped at the sound of she-kats laughing. They looked to see Katney, Ann, Tigera, Skylar, and Jade standing by the ladder that led up to the garage and laughing. "This is better than TV," Skylar giggled. "Act your ages, Dad, Uncle Chance, and Buster," Jade said, snickering. "Aww, c'mon, guys. We were just having fun watching you kick each other's tails," Tigera said, laughing. Chance grinned, got up, and said, "Uh-huh. I'll get you for that, Tigera." "I'll be holding my breath until you do, Stripes." She went over to him and gave him a kiss. Suddenly, the alarm started blaring. "Looks like you got back here just in time, ladies," Buster said, going over to the radio and pushing the button. "Yes, Ms. Briggs?" he said. "It's Jettona, she's back and she's in MegaKat Park causing havoc!" Callie Briggs said. "We're on our way!" Then Buster pushed the button again. "Skylar, think you and Jade can watch the garage while we take care of things?" Katney asked. Jade and Skylar gave her a salute as Skylar said, "You can count on us, Mom. Nothing to fear while Jade and Skylar Clawson are on the job!" "Aye. Just don't count on us to fix any cars. Dad and Uncle Chance haven't taught us yet. Besides, I don't really wanna mess up my manicure," Jade said. Katney grinned and nodded. "Then just change the oil and rotate the tires," Chance said. Skylar and Jade softly groaned. "Let's hit it!" all the kats said, running towards their lockers. Moments later, the TurboKats I and II were in the air. "Wonder what that she-devil has up her sleeves this time," T-Bone said. "I don't know, but when Jettona's involved, you know it's bad," Razor said. Suddenly, the TurboKat II started shaking. "T-Bone, we're hit!" Boulder said over the radio. Boulder pulled up on the control stick as the jet went downward. It crashed to the ground a few seconds later. Venus shook her head to clear it and said, "That's it! Next time I'm flying!" "Yeah, right. My jet, Venus," Boulder said as the canopy opened. The TurboKat landed next to the crashed jet. T-Bone and Razor jumped out and ran over to them. "Everyone all right?" T-Bone asked. "Give me a few minutes to screw my head back on and I'll answer your question," Quiver said, eyes rolling a little. "I've had better flights. Ones where I don't feel ill," Shera said, having a paw on her stomach. "Must've been that cheeseburger you inhaled at lunch." "If Boulder will let me fly next time, I'll be good," Venus replied. "Then you're not good," Boulder said. Razor went over to the wing to see what damage was done. "I've seen this kind of damage done to the wing before. Can you guess who?" he asked. Venus looked back and caught a fireball that was heading for Razor. "Nice try, little sister," she said, throwing the fireball away. Jettona appeared from behind the tree wearing a pair of sunglasses. "I don't try. I do. You were just in the way, Venus," she said. "You must have a reason to show your face around here again, Jettona. Wanna spill it?" Quiver asked. "What? A daughter of Satan can't cause a little havoc without a reason?" "You're not that kind of daughter, Jettona," T-Bone said. Jettona sighed somewhat and took off her sunglasses. As she folded the arms of the sunglasses, she said, "You're right. I'm not." She threw her sunglasses over her shoulder. The sunglasses landed on the ground, opening a portal in the ground. "I knew there had to be a reason she was wearing sunglasses at night," Boulder said. "Well, at least it's not like all those other ones where they suck us in," T-Bone said. "Wanna bet?" Jettona asked as wind was picking up and pushing the Swat Kats into the portal. Jettona jumped in after them. After that, the portal closed. ---------------------------------------- Chapter 2: Venus groaned as she was lying on the ground. She turned over and laid on her back. "I hate it when this happens. Wasn't it night time five minutes ago?" she asked herself, looking up at the sky. Then five small creatures looked over her. "Pikachu," one creature said. It looked like a yellow mouse with big, long ears, a long tail shaped like a lightning bolt, brown stripes on its back, and red circles on its slightly spiky cheeks. Venus gasped and got back to her feet. "OK, back off, whatever you are," she said, getting into a defensive position. "Pika, Pika," the mouse-like creature said. "Is that all you can say, rodent?" The creature nodded and a little annoyed said, "Chu." It grabbed a stick and started writing letters into the ground. "R... A... Z... O... R. Razor?" The creature jumped up and down, nodding all the while. "Pikachu!" "Holy kats! I shoulda recognized the cheeks. Razor, what happened to you?" Venus asked, picking him up and holding him close to her face. "Pika, Pika," he said glumly, then sighed. "You can't really answer me in standard anymore, can you?" Then a turtle-like creature, with a squirrel-like tail and scars over its left eye, came over to her. "Squirtle," it said. Razor looked at the creature and laughed, "Pi-hee-kachu!!!" The creature growled and slammed Razor into a tree. "Pika..." Razor said, painfully and slided down the tree. "Judging by the temper and scars, no doubt that you're Quiver, right?" The turtle-like creature nodded and said, "Squirtle, Squirtle." Venus picked up the mouse-like Razor who was calling himself "Pikachu" again and set him down next to the turtle-like Quiver who was calling herself "Squirtle." "You two be nice. You act like you're married. What am I saying? You *are* married." Venus looked at the rest of the strange animals. "Now to figure the rest of you out." "Bulbasaur!" one of them said. It had a flower bulb on its back and walked on all fours. "Hmm... For some reason, I can see you as Boulder," Venus said. The creature nodded and mumbled. The fox-like creature with six tails walked over to Boulder and rubbed up against him. "Vulpix," it said. "Saur," Boulder said, blushing slightly. "If that's Boulder, and you're showing signs of affection to him, that would make you Shera." "Vulpix," the fox-like creature said, nodding. Venus got on her knees to pick up the puppy-like creature with stripes. "And that makes you..." The creature licked her face and said, "Awoo!" She put him down and looked at her friends. "I can't believe this. My teammates have been turned into... some species of animals that I have no idea what they are," she said. "Pi-Pikachu," Razor said. "I'm sorry, Razor, but I don't speak Pikachu." T-Bone sniffed the ground and walked away. "T-Bone, where are you going? What am I saying? He's only going to bark or howl." Venus got up and followed him. The other creatures looked at each other. "Chu?" Razor asked. "Bulb," Boulder said, nodding. Then they followed Venus and T-Bone. "T-Bone, come back here!" Venus said. T-Bone looked back at her and barked. Then he resumed sniffing. Venus caught up with him. "Heel, boy. Don't make me buy a leash for you," she said, petting his head. Then, T-Bone walked over behind a tree and brought over a bag. "What's this?" "Growl." Venus looked at him, a little annoyed. She reached into the bag and pulled out an object that looked similar to a Gameboy. On the back it said "Pokédex." She looked at it curiously. "I am Dexter the Pokédex. I supply information on Pokémon around the world. If lost or stolen, I cannot be replaced," the small object said. Then a picture of T-Bone appeared on the screen. "Growlithe: the puppy Pokémon. It uses barks and howls to scare predators away," the small object said. Venus looked at T-Bone, who cocked his head. "What's a Pokémon?" T-Bone shrugged. "Ruff." Then the others appeared and stood next to T-Bone. "Well, come on. Let's find out where we are then look for a way to turn you guys back," Venus said, walking ahead of the others. "Pika, Pika," Razor said, following her. The rest followed. Venus then pulled out a small ball, half red, half white. "Wonder what they use this for." "Saur!" Boulder said. She pulled out a paper and looked at it. "Poké balls. Holds one Pokémon. To put Pokémon into the ball, say 'Poké ball, go'. To release a Pokémon, say 'I choose you' and then your Pokémon's name. You guys got lucky. There's only one of these in here." "Growl!" T-Bone said. "Don't give me that or I'll put you in here, T-Bone." "Pikachu," Razor said, turning to Shera with a sly look on his face. "Vulpix. Vul?" Shera said, returning the look. "Pi-Pikachu." Then they both laughed. "Making jokes, Razor? I'll put you in the Poké ball if you don't behave." "Pika, Pika!" Razor said, shaking his head. Venus growled. She looked at the ground and picked up a piece of paper. "Another footnote. 'To save you some humiliation, Pikachu is the only Pokémon that refuses to go into the Poké balls. So don't even try anymore. Enjoy the bag I supplied for ya. Kari.' Gee, thanks, Kari. All right, Razor, you just got lucky because you got turned into a Pikachu." "Chu! Chu! Pikachu! Pikachu-chu!" Razor said, jumping up and down. Venus put the Poké ball back into the bag and turned to the others. "Let's get to finding Jettona." "Bulbasaur," Boulder said. "Squirtle," Quiver said, softly snickering. "Guys, if I find out what you've been saying is insults, I'll burn your tails off," Venus said. Then they walked off. ---------------------------------------- Chapter 3: Meanwhile at the garage, Jade was standing over the open hood of a car while Skylar was on the mechanic's dolly under the car. Both were wearing overalls identical to Jake and Chance's. "Jade, will you forget about your nails and dump the oil in?" Skylar asked. "I'm not worried about the nails anymore. I'm worried about if you've done everything right before I put it in," Jade said, looking down the open hood and holding a bottle of motor oil. "Well, you read the book out loud to me, right?" "Right." "Then go ahead." "OK." Jade began to pour the oil in, then heard Skylar shout. "What?" "Jade... check the book again..." "OK..." Jade looked at the book, rubbing the page between her fingers. Another page appeared. "Oh, what do you know? The pages were stuck together. So *that's* where the last step went." "I thought Uncle Chance taught us this." "He did, but we were too busy with that Teen Tom magazine." "Oh, yeah. What does it say?" "Let's see... 'Make sure to plug the pipe back up or oil will spill all over you.' Funny that they put that in the book, huh, Sky?" The mechanic's dolly shoved out, revealing Skylar's upper half covered in oil. "I'm busting a gut, sis." "Whoops." Later, after cleaning up, they were working on the next customer's tires. "Let's see... how do you rotate tires?" Skylar asked. "Like this, I think," Jade said, spinning one of the tires. "But anyone can do that. Why call a mechanic?" "Too lazy?" "Maybe a tool..." They unscrewed the tires, then "rotated" them. "There! The tires are switched!" Jade said proudly. "Yeah! Why bother with new tires when you can use the old ones?" Skylar agreed. Then Jade checked the book. "Says here they're *suppose* to be new tires." "Rats." A few minutes later, they finished. "We're done this time, Jade." The tires were looking odd. "They don't look like they did before..." "Well, they *are* new." Jade checked the book again. "Sky... they're on backwards." They looked at each other, sighed, and grabbed the tools again. They finally rotated the tires correctly. "There! We're done," Skylar said." "Can we collapse now?" "Yeah." They both slumped in Jake and Chance's chairs, both having noticeable oil stains on their paws, cheeks, and coveralls. ---------------------------- Venus sat on the grass and leaned against a tree stump reading a book she found in the bag T-Bone found. While the others were napping, Razor jumped on Venus's shoulder and looked at the book. "Pikachu?" he asked. "It's some kind of handbook on something called Pokémon. It says there's over 150 different species," Venus said. She turned the page and found a picture of the one creature that looked like Boulder. "Hey, this is what Boulder was turned into! He's called a Bulbasaur. Gee, I shoulda known since he kept saying that over and over. He's a grass/poison type." "Kachu," Razor said wonderingly. "And that's not all. He evolves into two different other creatures called Ivysaur and Venusaur." She flipped through some more pages and found the creature Quiver turned into. "Here's the creature Quiver turned into. She's called Squirtle. Ain't she cute? She's a water type. She evolves into two different Pokémon called Wartortle and Blastoise." "Pi-Pika..." Razor said, looking at the pictures. Venus went through a few more pages and found the creature Razor turned into. "Check it out, Razor. Here's you." "Chu!" Razor said, smiling. Venus grinned. "Yeah, you're called Pikachu. You're electric. Unlike the others, you evolve with something called the thunder stone and turn into Raichu." "Pi-Pikachu," Razor said. Venus flipped through a few more pages. "They have very weird creatures here. I guess I should start calling them Pokémon, huh?" Razor nodded. "Here's the Pokémon Shera turned into. She's a Vulpix. She's a fire type. She evolves with the fire stone and then turns into something called Ninetales." "Chu..." Razor said. Venus looked through the pages. "Here's T-Bone. He's called Growlithe. He's also a fire type. He evolves with the fire stone to turn into Arcanine." "Pikachu." Venus closed the book and put it into the bag. "You hungry, Razor?" "Pika, Pika!" Razor said, nodding. "Wish I knew what Pikachu like to eat. Well, we'll find you something. Let's roll." Venus stood up with Razor on her shoulder. "I should just find a thunder stone so you can evolve and go inside that Pokéball." "Grr... Pikachu!!" Razor said, angry and annoyed. T-Bone rose his head up and looked around. "Go back to sleep, T-Bone. Razor's just upset that I threatened to put him in a Pokéball," Venus said. "Growl," T-Bone said, shaking his head. "Oh? That's not what you heard?" "Ruff!" The other Pokémon woke from their naps and yawned. "Squirtle?" Quiver asked, yawning. "Vulpix!" Shera said, looking a little panicked while looking at a nearby hill. "What now?" Venus asked. Two humans appeared and jumped in front of the group of Pokémon. "Prepare for trouble!" the woman said. "And make it double!" the man said. "To protect the world from devastation!" "To unite all people within our nation!" "To denounce the evils of truth and love!" "To extend our reach to the stars above!" "Jessie!" "James!" "Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!" "Surrender now or prepare to fight!" "Meowth! That's right!" a feline Pokémon said. T-Bone growled at them. "Down, Growlithe, or we'll release Arbok on you," Jessie said. "Great, another human universe. Who are you, as if I didn't catch the entrance?" Venus asked as the Pokémon gathered close to her. "We are Team Rocket. I'm James and this is Jessie," James said. "Ahem!" the feline Pokémon said. "And this is Meowth." "Meowth. I'm the top cat around here! Pleasure to meet ya," the Pokémon said. "Just my luck. The only Pokémon I can understand, and he's on the wrong side," Venus said to herself. "Bulba," Boulder said, then muttered. "That's the most unusual Pokémon I've ever seen. What kind do you think she is, Jess?" James asked. "What? I'm not a Pokémon. I'm just an alien." "Pikachu!" Razor said. "You forget already, James? She's the same kind of species as that other one," Jessie said. "Oh, kats, don't tell me," Venus said. Jettona appeared in-between the two humans. "I knew it." "How could I forget her? She's so..." James said, looking at Jettona with lovesick eyes. Jessie knocked him over the head with a closed fan. "She's so not even your own species, James!" Jettona chuckled at their little act. "How's it feel being Pokémon, Swat Kats?" Jettona asked. "Squirtle! Squirtle! Squirtle!" Quiver said. "Bulbasaur! Saur!" Boulder said. "Vul! Vulpix!" Shera said. "If I didn't know better, I'd say those rotten little imps were insulting me," Jettona said. She turned to Meowth. "What did they say?" "Too nasty to repeat. Believe me, you don't wanna hear it," Meowth said, sweating a bit. "Pikachu!" Razor said, then pulled down under his eye and stuck his tongue out at her. "My thoughts exactly," Venus said, grinning. "That little mouse is toast!" Jettona growled, throwing fireballs at him. Venus and the Pokémon jumped out of the way. "Ruff!" T-Bone said, looking at Shera. "Pix!" Shera replied, nodding. Then they ran into some bushes. "T-Bone, Shera, get your tails back here! All 7 of them!" Venus called to them. "Squirtle!" Quiver said, jumping into a nearby pond. "Cowards! Quiver! Come back here! Ah, crud!" "Pika-Pi!" Razor called to the fleeing Pokémon. "Hand over that Pikachu and maybe we'll leave you alone," Jessie said. "Go find your own Pikachu!" Venus said as Razor got behind her. "Gee, Razor, you've lost some backbone when you got turned into a Pokémon." She looked behind her back to see Razor wasn't there. "Now where'd he go? Razor? Boulder? Uh-oh." "That Pokémon has more power than you know, alien, and we want it!" Meowth said. James and Jessie took out two Poké balls and threw them. "Arbok, Wheezing, go!" they both said. Suddenly, a purple cobra and a gray mime-shaped ball with two faces popped out of the balls. "Back off, stinkballs." "Wheezing, smog attack!" James said. "Wheezing!" Wheezing said as it exploded, causing poison gas to spread. Venus covered her mouth and coughed. "Put on some cologne, Wheezing!" she coughed. Jessie, James, and Jettona laughed. "Finish her off!" Jettona said. "Arbok, poison sting attack now!" Jessie ordered. Arbok came at Venus, jaws open wide. Venus jumped out of the way, causing Arbok to sink its teeth into the ground. "Stupid snake. I'll take her out myself," Jettona growled, getting a fireball ready. "Squirtle!" a voice shouted. Suddenly, Team Rocket and Jettona got drenched in water. "Meowth! I hate water! Especially wet water!" Meowth said, shaking the water off. Jessie growled, "Who did that?!" "Pik-a-chu!" Razor said, electricity flying around Wheezing and Arbok. Both Pokémon fell to the ground. "You electric rat!" James said. "Meowth! I'll get him!" Meowth said, raising his claws and jumping towards Razor. "Growl!" "Vul!" T-Bone and Shera fired flames out of their mouths at Meowth, causing him to collapse to the ground. "Meowth. Just what I needed: a team flamethrow," Meowth said painfully. "Bulbasaur!" Boulder said as vines came to Meowth and threw him back at Team Rocket and Jettona. "We'll get them later! This isn't over, Venus!" Jettona growled. With one leap, they disappeared. The other Pokémon gathered around Venus. "Growl?" T-Bone asked. Venus looked at them with a very surprised look on her face. "That was amazing, guys! I had no idea you could do that!" she finally said, picking up Shera. "Vulpix," Shera said, somewhat blushing. "Arbok!" a voice said. Boulder looked back. "Bulbasaur!" he said. "Oh, crud! They forgot their Pokémon!" Venus said as Wheezing and Arbok came around. "Squirtle!" Quiver said, nervously sweating. "OK, electrocuting them didn't work for long. You're not as strong when you're Pokémon. Anybody else have any bright ideas?" Venus asked. The other Pokémon shook their heads. "Great. I hate this universe." ---------------------------- Chapter 4: Just as Arbok and Wheezing were about to attack, a voice shot out. "Onix, go!" Suddenly, a large rock snake, almost 29 feet long, crashed into Arbok and Wheezing. "What the--?" Venus asked. With one flick of the rock snake's tail, Wheezing and Arbok flew into the distance. "Onix, return!" Then the rock snake disappeared. Shera, who was hiding behind Boulder, peeked out. "Vulpix?" she asked. "Bulb," Boulder replied. "Hey, you all right?" a voice asked. Venus looked to see three humans and a Pikachu by one of them. One had a red and white baseball hat, blue vest and pants. He had brown hair and eyes. Another had a green vest and orange shirt with brown hair. The last one was a girl in a yellow shirt and shorts with red hair and green eyes. Venus stood a little dumbfounded at first then cleared her throat. "Yeah, I think. Thanks." "Ooh... Pi-Pikachu," the Pikachu with the humans said wonderingly. "What kind of Pokémon are you?" the girl asked. "I'm not a Pokémon at all. Who are you?" "I'm Ash Ketchum. These are my friends Misty and Brock and my Pikachu," the human with the baseball hat said. "Chu!" Pikachu said. "And you are?" Misty asked. "I'm Venus. And these are my friends." "Pikachu!" Razor said. Pikachu came over to them. "Pi-Pika, Pika," Pikachu said. "Kachu." Quiver folded her arms and pouted a little, "Squirtle. Hmph." "Ruff," T-Bone said, putting a paw on her shoulder. "Oh, come on, Quiver. That Pikachu probably isn't female," Venus said. "Squirtle. Squirtle," Quiver said. "Aw, don't be like that, Squirtle. Pikachu just wants to make friends," Ash said. "Actually, they have names," Venus said. She then pointed the her friends as she said their names. "T-Bone, Razor, Quiver, Boulder, and Shera." "Bulbasaur!" Boulder said. "Why don't you put them in the Pokéball?" Brock asked. "I don't put my Pokémon in the balls. Besides, I only have one." "We have a few extra," Misty said, holding up a few Poké balls. "Growl!" T-Bone said, shaking his head. The other Pokémon shook their heads. Venus shrugged. "Rather not. What are you doing with those balls anyway?" "You're kidding, right? Everybody knows about Pokémon trainers. We capture as many as we can and then train them. We compete with other trainers, battle with gym leaders in the cities and earn their badges to compete in the Pokémon League," Ash said. "And they don't mind being put through all this battling?" "It's one of the ways for most Pokémon to evolve. But if they don't want to be put through it, they take a nap," Brock said. Shera sniffed the air and then leaped into Brock's backpack. "Hey! Get out of there!" Shera jumped out with a can in her mouth. She started to chew on it. "Shera! You forget your manners all of a sudden?" Venus asked as she snatched the can away from her. "Gimme that!" "Vulpix," Shera said a little glumly. Venus looked at the lightly dented can. "What's in here?" "Pokémon food. That brand's for my Vulpix," Brock replied. "Is that what you wanted, Shera? You're hungry?" "Vul," Shera said, nodding. "I'm sure she woulda asked if she could actually talk," Misty said. "You got enough for my friends to eat, that is, if you don't mind sharing the food?" Venus asked. "Pikachu," Pikachu said, rubbing its growling stomach. "Pikachu's hungry, too. Might as well feed the troops," Ash said. "Sure." Later, while all the Pokémon were eating, Ash and Brock were gathering wood. "You got a match, Venus?" Misty asked. Venus grinned and extended a claw. "I've got something better than a match," she said, pointing at the wood. Flames shot out of her finger, lighting the wood. Ash, Brock, and Misty jumped back, surprised. Venus blew on her finger to put the fire out. "Sorry about that," Venus said with a toothy grin. "How did you do that?" Ash asked as he and the others sat on the ground in a circle around the fire. "Well, I don't wanna freak you guys out anymore than I already have. So, rather not tell." "If you insist," Brock said. Venus looked back at the Pokémon eating. "I still can't believe this happened. Just this morning, I was engaged to T-Bone. Now he's like this," she said. "You're engaged to a Growlithe?" Ash asked. "Of course not! I hate dogs. He was like me, but now I can't even understand him or any of them." Pikachu came over to her. "Oooh... Pikachu," it said. Venus smiled a little and patted its head. "Pikachu's really sweet," she said, giving Pikachu a kiss on the head. Pikachu's eyes turned into hearts suddenly. "Pikachu," he said, drunk with love. T-Bone saw this and growled. "Growl!" he said, coming over to them. "Relax, T-Bone. I didn't mean anything by it." "Growl," T-Bone said, a little more calm. "Do you guys know where I can find fire and thunder stones around here?" "Well, there aren't any around here," Misty said. "Crud." "Ruff!" "Pix," Shera said as she and the others came up. "You're welcome, Shera," Brock said, smiling. "You can understand her?" "No, but I figured she was thanking me for the food." "Vulpix," Shera said, shaking her head. She went into Brock's backpack again and took out another can of Pokémon food. "Well, I guess she's still hungry," Ash said. "But that's her third can!" Misty said. "Hmm. She *has* been unusually hungrier lately," Venus said. Razor hopped over and landed on T-Bone's back. "Pikachu," he said, rubbing his arm. "Let me see that, Razor," Venus said, picking him up and setting him down on her lap. She looked at his arm, bleeding a little. "When did you get this?" Razor made a few hissing noises and tried to expand into a balloon. "Two Pokémon... One hissing... One the shape of a mine? Arbok and Wheezing!" "I knew those Pokémon were Team Rocket's. What did they want?" Ash asked. "Well, they wanted Razor, but that's probably because he insulted Jettona." "They're always after Pikachu. Maybe they thought Razor was our Pikachu," Misty said. "Hold it! I've never heard of a Jettona in Team Rocket," Brock said. "Yeah. I know there's Butch and Cassidy, but no Jetonna." "Well, she's not. She's my sister and I think she's the one who turned my team into Pokémon. Big mistake there, eh, Quiver?" Venus asked. "Squirtle!" Quiver laughed along with the other Pokémon. "Pikachu!!" Pikachu laughed. "So, you guys are Pokémon trainers," Venus said as Razor brought her an apple. She took a bite out of it when Razor gave it to her. "Yep. Misty collects water Pokémon like your Squirtle and Brock breeds them," Ash said. "Interesting. Oh, Razor, how will Jade and Skylar hold out without you if you stay like this?" ---------------------------- Meanwhile, in the other universe, Skylar was filling out forms in the office of the garage. "Finally! That's the last one. Dad'll be happy. We haven't made any huge mistakes that we couldn't handle ourselves, have we?" she asked. "No, but we'll have something to laugh about, won't we?" Jade asked in the other room. Skylar laughed, then looked at the clock on the wall. "Haven't they been gone a long time, Jade?" she asked. Jade came in, sweeping the floor with a broom. Jade yawned. "Now that you've mentioned it, aye. It was 9:30 last night when they left. It's well past morning." "What do you think happened?" "I don't know everything." Skylar stroked her chin, then looked at the side of the desk. She picked up a book and looked at it. "Crud. Mom forgot her book," she said. "There's no telling what happened to them," Jade said as Skylar looked through the pages. Skylar spoke in Latin and a crystal ball appeared on the table. Jade stared at Skylar, looking a little annoyed. "I hate you sometimes. One of the reasons: you were born first," she said. "Hey, better a big sister than a big brother," Skylar said. "All right, shut up and tell this thing to locate the Swat Kats." The crystal ball glowed a bit, revealing Razor as a Pikachu. "What is that?" Jade asked. "I don't know. Looks like a mix between a mouse and a rabbit." Razor then walked over by Venus, who was sleeping by a fire with the others. Then he laid next to Quiver. "There's Venus!" both of them said. Venus had T-Bone wrapped around in her arms like he was a teddy bear and curled up next to her sleeping. "I don't see Dad or anybody else. Sky, we gotta get there." "How?" "There is the old-fashioned way. Clicking our heels together and say 'there's no place like where our parents are.'" "Grow up." Jade snorted, "OK, Ms. Smarty-tail, how do you propose we do this then?" Skylar grabbed her paw and placed it on the crystal ball. Both of them then disappeared. ---------------------------- Chapter 5: While the group was sleeping, a portal opened up above them. Jade and Skylar then fell out of the portal and landed on top of Ash and Brock. All four of them screamed in surprise. Venus and Misty woke up and looked at them. Venus grabbed her helmet and pushed the red triangle on it. A flashlight came on and it shined on them. "What's the big idea?" Ash asked. "Get off me!" Brock said. "So our landing was a little off!" Jade said. "Wasn't our fault!" Skylar agreed. "Skylar! Jade!" Venus said. The Pokémon woke up and yawned. "Pika?" Razor asked. Skylar and Jade got up, stepped on Ash and Brock's faces, and walked over to Venus. "Venus, we've been worried sick!" Jade said, putting her paws on Venus's shoulders. "Where's everyone else?" Skylar asked. "Squirtle?" Quiver yawned. Razor looked at Jade and Skylar and smiled. "Pikachu-chu!" he said, jumping over to them. Quiver followed. "Well, aren't you two cute?" Skylar asked. "Um, Skylar, Jade, those are your parents," Venus said. "Don't kid with us, Venus. We're not in the teasing mood." Venus kept a straight face. Jade looked down at the two Pokémon and picked up Razor. "She's not kidding, is she?" she asked. "Pikachu," Razor said, shaking his head. "Say hi to your father, girls," Venus said. Skylar then picked up Quiver. "You're my mother, aren't you?" she asked. "Squirtle," Quiver said, nodding. "What happened to them?" "As far as I can tell, it's Jettona's work," Venus replied. The other Pokémon walked over to them. Skylar looked at T-Bone and said, "I can take a wild guess who you are, judging by the stripes." "Awoo!" T-Bone said. "They're stuck like this?" Jade asked. "Well, they can evolve into some different Pokémon, but T-Bone, Razor, and Shera require certain stones for them to evolve," Misty said. "What stones?" Skylar asked. "Fire and thunder." "Saur," Boulder said with Shera sitting next to him. "Pix," Shera said. Pikachu rubbed its chin and hopped over to T-Bone. "Pi-Pika," it said. "Err?" "Chu. Pikachu." "Growl, Growl." "What are they doing?" Venus asked. "Discussing something, I guess," Ash said. Quiver's eyes widened a bit. "Squirtle? Squirtle?" she asked. "Kachu," Pikachu said, nodding. "Pikachu!" Razor said, punching the air. "What are you so happy about, Dad?" Jade asked. "Pi-Pikachu. Pika, Pika. Chu, Chu!" Razor said, turning to her. "Growl!" T-Bone said, nodding his head down the path. The Pokémon then followed Pikachu close behind. "Pikachu! Wait for us!" Ash said as he, Brock, and Misty ran after them. "Guys! Get your tails back here!" Venus said, running after them with Skylar and Jade close behind. Later, the Pokémon reached a cave. The others were leaning against something, panting. "T-Bone, would you please explain to me what is going on here?" Venus asked, panting. "Growl, Growl," T-Bone said. "I shoulda known that was gonna be his response." Shera and Quiver walked over to the cave's opening and then looked back at the others. "Vulpix!" Shera said, nodding to head into the cave. "No way, Shera. No telling what kind of creatures are in there," Skylar said. Quiver narrowed her eyes and growled best she could. "Squirtle! Squirtle, Squirtle, Squirtle!" she yelled, pointing into the cave. "Whatever you say, Mom," Skylar said, sweating slightly. Ash, Misty, and Brock each had a few sweat droplets on their foreheads. "Gee, I've never seen a Squirtle ever yelling like that," Ash said. "Yeah, it kinda creeps me out," Misty said. "Maybe it's just her," Brock said, shrugging somewhat. "Pi! Ka! Chu!" Pikachu said, running inside with the other Pokémon. "Had I known this was going to happen, I woulda stayed home and worked on a car," Skylar said as she and the others walked into the cave. Once inside the cave, Venus turned on the flashlight in her helmet. "I hate darkness. You never know what's lurking about," Jade said. "Oh, nothing much. Mostly Zubat," Ash said. "Lovely," Skylar and Jade both said. They came to a part of the cave where part of the roof was caved in and the full moon shined. Ash looked down at Pikachu, who was watching the other Pokémon look around. "This almost looks like Mt. Moon. Pikachu, what's going on here?" he asked. Pikachu talked in Pokémon. "You can actually understand it?" Jade asked. "Of course. It's my Pokémon. It's saying... These Pokémon are..." Pikachu made some more motions before Ash answered. "Still hungry and are looking for more food!" Pikachu facefaulted and growled somewhat. "Pika, Pika!" It picked up a bone and pointed at it. "Chu!" "Sounds like bone? Hmm... Loan, blown, clone, tone," Misty said. "Own, moan, scone, zone," Brock said. Pikachu sighed and shook its head. Venus muttered to herself until she shouted out, "Stone!" Pikachu held up a sign with a one on it and cheered, "Pikachu!" "Score 1 for Venus," Skylar said. "Aw, I coulda figured that out," Ash said, somewhat pouting. "Yeah, in about 50 or 60 years," Misty said. Ash shouted, "Hey, do you want me to pay you back for that bike or what?!" "You mean you know where there's stones, Pikachu?" Venus asked. "Pika," Pikachu said, nodding. Then dirt came flying their way. The Pokémon were digging. "Hey, watch where you're aiming that stuff!" Jade said. "Bulbasaur!" Boulder said deep within the hole he had dug. "You found something, Boulder?" Skylar asked, looking into the hole. Boulder came back up with a stone in his mouth. He set it on the ground and smiled to himself. "Bulbasaur." "He found a thunder stone!" Brock said. Quiver came back out with a stone in her mouth as well. She set it down and said, "Squirtle." "All right! A fire stone," Ash said. Then the hole T-Bone was in started to glow. T-Bone jumped out, glowing and started to grow. "What the--?!" Venus asked, eye wide. "Ar-ruff!" T-Bone said after he had stopped glowing. "He must've found a fire stone in that hole. He's evolved into Arcanine," Ash said. T-Bone was now over 6 feet tall and hardly changed in appearance. Venus walked over to him and looked at him in amazement. "Me-yow, T-Bone. Least you're closer to your actual height." T-Bone licked her face with his big tongue and said, "Arr." Venus wiped her face and grinned somewhat. "Now, let's get Razor and Shera to evolve," Brock said, holding the thunder and fire stones. "We think not!" three voices said. "Huh?" Jade and Skylar both said, looking at the entrance to the cave they just came through. Team Rocket and Jettona were standing there. "Not you guys again!" Ash said. "Yes, us guys again," James said. "We'll be taking those," Jettona said, pointing her paw at Brock's hand. The stones then floated out of Brock's hand and over towards Team Rocket. "Oh, no you don't!" Skylar said, grabbing the stone in mid-air. "Meowth! Hand over the stones, kid," Meowth said. "You say that like you expect me to do so," Skylar said, tossing the stones over her shoulder. The stones landed in front of Razor and Shera. "Don't you touch those, you rotten little--!" Jessie growled. Razor and Shera touched the stones and started glowing. "Raichu!!" Razor said, jumping into the air and sending thunder bolts towards Team Rocket. They ducked in time to avoid them. Razor stopped glowing. He was now orangish in color, yellow circles on his cheeks, white stomach, and the top of his tail was a lightning bolt. Shera also stopped glowing. She was now a foot taller, her hair turned to shiny yellow, and she had nine tails. "He's evolved into Raichu!" Ash said. "And she turned into a Ninetales," Brock said. Venus took out that Pokédex she had in her backpack and pointed it at Razor. His picture came up on the screen. "Raichu: the evolved form of Pikachu. It uses over 10,000 bolts of electricity, enough to knock a Dragonite unconscious," the Pokédex said. Then Shera's picture showed up. "Ninetales: evolved form a Vulpix. Its flamethrow attack is very powerful, so approach with extreme caution." Quiver and Boulder looked in amazement. "Bulbasaur." "Squirtle." Shera looked over at them and said, "Ninetales." "We'll make this easier for you, twerps. Hand over your Pikachu and we'll leave you alone," Jessie said. "Otherwise, Arbok and Wheezing will finish you off," James said. "You know, Ash, I think this place *is* Mt. Moon," Misty said. "Yeah, so?" Ash asked. Suddenly, several little Pokémon appeared saying "Clefairy" several times. "What are those?" Jettona asked, twitching her nose. "Squirtle," Quiver said, cocking her head. "The Clefairy, I guess," Venus said. "Arr-ruff," T-Bone said as Razor and Pikachu jumped on his back. The Clefairy got into a few lines, held up their fingers, and waved them from side to side. "Clefairy. Clefairy. Clefairy..." the repeated in singsong. "What are they doing?" Jettona asked. "They have done this before," James said. "Waving their fingers," Jessie said. "This way and that way. This way and that way," Meowth said as the group watched the Clefairy moving fingers. The others also watched. "Kachu," Pikachu said. T-Bone shook his head to clear it. "Ruff!" he said, eyes now swirling. "Rai, Rai?" Razor asked, eyes also swirling. "They're using the Metronome. I suggest we leave before the explosions go off," Ash said in singsong. "Arr-ruff!" T-Bone said, nodding towards his back. Everybody got on T-Bone's back and rode out of the cave just as explosions went off and Team Rocket flew into the distance. "I hate it when that happens!" Jessie said. "Me, too!" James said. "Meowth, three! Looks like Team Rocket is blasting off again!!" Meowth said once they were out of distance. The explosion had caused everybody to land on the ground. Venus shook her head and coughed. "Just what I needed: a mud pie in the face," she said. As soon as the dust settled, the others got up. "Hey, where are the Pokémon?" Misty asked. "Aww, and I wanted to kick Jettona's tail, too," a voice said. "Huh?" everybody asked, looking around. "Dad? Where are you?" Jade asked. "We're up here!" They looked up and saw the Swat Kats up in a tree. "Well, I am *never* coming here again," Quiver said. "That makes two of us," Shera said. "At least we had some fun," Razor said. "Guys! Get your tails down here so we can smother you to death!" Venus said. "Hmm. I don't know if I like being smothered," T-Bone said as he climbed down the tree. Once all the Swat Kats were out of the tree, Venus went over to T-Bone. "Are you all right?" she asked. "As soon as I get some of those words out of my vocabulary, I'll be fine," T-Bone replied. "I can fix that." She grabbed onto the straps on his flight suit and gave him a big kiss. Jade and Skylar then made it over to the others while passing the kissing Swat Kats. "Don't you guys ever worry us like that again!" Skylar said while slapping Boulder's shoulder. "If we knew Jettona was gonna turn us into strange animals and transport us to some weird universe, we would've told you, sweetheart," Quiver said. "Call me crazy, but I could go for some of that Pokémon food of Brock's," Shera said. "Looks like some of Vulpix is still inside her," Misty said, giggling a little. Finally, Venus allowed T-Bone to inhale after the kiss. "Me-yow," he said. "See? Told ya I'd fix that." "OK, lovers, let's go home. I'm getting hungry again," Boulder said. Shera gulped, "Don't mention food, Boulder. I suddenly feel I could be sick." "All right. Well, thanks for your help, Ash, Misty, Brock," Quiver said. "Pika! Pi-Pikachu?!" Pikachu said, pointing to itself. "Oh, right! Thanks for leading us to the stones, Pikachu," Razor said. "Kachu," Pikachu said, nodding. Then, the Clefairy came out of the cave and waved at them. "Clefairy," they all said. They waved back as Skylar was speaking in Latin. Then, they disappeared. ---------------------------- Chapter 6: The next morning, Buster woke up and walked into the kitchen to make some coffee. He looked at the clock radio. It read 8:49. "Ann's always up before me. Wonder what's wrong with her," Buster said to himself. He fixed the ring on his finger and walked to her room. He was about to knock on the door when Ann came running out and ran into the bathroom. Buster heard her retching quite well. He knocked on the bathroom door. "Annie? You OK?" The toilet flushed and Ann came out. She groaned and flopped onto the couch. Buster followed her. "Are you OK?" "I think that Pokémon food didn't agree with me," Ann replied. "Didn't bother me. Couldn't still be bothering you. You threw it up last night after we got home." "Don't remind me," Ann gulped. "Then again, you had 3 cans of that stuff. Should've digested it already." He just had a thought. "You think maybe...?" "I doubt it. But you know we need to tell the gang sooner or later." Buster nodded. Ann hugged a pillow and laid on her side. "I'm gonna catch a nap and then we can go tell them," she said. "But, you just woke up." "So? I'm still tired." With that, she fell asleep. Buster stayed next to her and brushed the bangs out of her eyes. THE END
