Between the Blizzard and the Storm

At the Hangar in the desert, Vulpes was training herself to learn new attacks.  She wanted
to learn attacks that could work in the light day.

"Hey, Vulpes, it would be a good idea for you to rest a little," said Jake to his friend.

"Oh, Jake? I didn't hear you come in the training room," said Vulpes, sitting down and
drinking some water as Jake sat by her side.

"Vulpes, sometimes you worry me," said Jake.

"I worry you?  Why?" asked Vulpes.

"Since we met I've told about my family, my past...  And you, Vulpes?  What was your
family like? I know you lost some parts of your memory and…."

"Jake, to tell you the truth, I lied.  I just didn't want to remember some things about my
past," said Vulpes, surprising Jake.

"Do you wanna talk about it, Vulpes?" Jake asked, holding her hand as she looked at him.

"When I was only a three year old little fox, my dad was the king fox of my clan.  He was
killed by a black she-elf called Alcion.  Two years later, my mom was killed by Ness when
she tried to save me and my twin brother," Vulpes explained, almost crying.

"Oh Vulpes, I'm sorry.  I didn't know about that.  What happened to your twin brother?"
asked Jake.

"He's missing, Jake.  After my planet was destroyed by that damn empire, I was alone in
your world.  And then, I found another person who was alone," said Vulpes.

"You mean Fang?" asked Jake.

"Yes, like me, he was alone too, and he cared for me as if I were his own daughter," said
Vulpes.  "And, do you have any news about Metalder?" she asked suddenly.

"Not yet...  Maybe he's still looking for the child," said Jake, looking at Vulpes.  "Hum…
Vulpes, would you like to go out with me tomorrow?" he asked as his checks turned a
little red.

"Go out with you? It would be an honor," she replied happily.

"Alright, so…  I will pick you up at 6:00 o'clock, Ok?" asked Jake.

"Ok, see you tomorrow night," said Vulpes as she left the training room.

"Fox of my heart, I promise tomorrow will be the one you never forget," said Jake in her
direction as he removed a tiny box from his pocket and smiled.

Meanwhile, on the crusader……….

"So, you've finally arrived," said Morrigan.

As she said this, a beautiful black elf appeared in the darkness.  She had long silver hair
and she was wearing black armor.

"I heard that you're having some troubles with a team who have the help of some...
children," said the elf.

"They aren't simple children, elf.  They are the children of virtue," said  Morrigan.

"I know about the legend of the children and the amulets, but don't worry....  If I could kill
the king of the shadow foxes, why couldn't I handle these little ones too?" asked the elf.

"Be careful, elf.  The galactic gladiator Keyroz said the same thing and he was destroyed
by the werewolf knight who has a sword made of diamondsteel," said Hacker.

"Hum… tell me more about them," said the elf.

"Well, all we can tell you si that they have holy armor," said Morrigan.

"I know where I can find holy armor or a weapon of diamondsteel. Don't worry.  I, the
black elf 
Alcion, I have a way to defeat these Swat Kats or Swat Rangers …whatever they're
called...," said Alcion, laughing evilly. 

Hours later, in the Hangar in the desert…………

"Hey, kids, what do think?" asked Fang, showing Faye, Sara, and Cody some metallic ball.

"Wow, Fang, that ball looks like the pokeball those humans used to carry their
pokémon," said Faye. 

"Pokémon?" asked Cody with a confused face.

"Oh, we forgot - you weren't with us the day when I found out I'm the second child of
virtue," said Sara.

"It was last mouth, wasn't it?  I got a flu and I couldn't to go to school for two weeks,"
said Cody.

"Don't worry, Cody.  Some day we will go to the pokémon world and you will meet my
pokémon," said Faye as the fire galamon Mizar and the Ice Galamon Bado came into
Fang's laboratory.

"You mean you had a monster pal before me?" asked Mizar the Vulcan kakaroto.

"Oh hi, Mizar.  Don't worry - you're still my favorite," Faye said to Mizar.

"And, you can go together anywhere if you're inside the pokeball," explained Fang.

"Hey, you guys.  I just remembered that we didn't chose a perfect name for our team,"
said Sara.

"Oh, that's right.  What can we call our team?" asked Faye.

"Hum…  What do you think of *Virtue Kids* ?" asked Cody.

"Hey, I like it," said Sara.

"So, do I," said Faye. 

"And, your nicknames could be your virtues," added Bado.

"It's a good idea, Bado." Said Cody.

Then Vulpes walked in with Gaia the Galamon of the earth, wearing a short pink dress.

"Hey you guys, what do you think?" asked Vulpes.

"Hey, Vulpes, you're pretty," said Cody.

"Yeah, where are you going dressed so pretty?" asked Fang.

"She's going out with Jake tomorrow night," said Gaia.

"Cool, but, how are you going out if you're a fox, Vulpes?" asked Cody.

"Well Cody, I'll show you."   Then, she transformed into a she-kat with blond fur.  But,
her hair and tail were still the same. The marks on her face disappeared.  

The children were surprised.

"Well, what do you think now?" asked Vulpes.

"You're a fox!" said Cody.

"But, I transformed into…"

"Oh, he means you're pretty, Vulpes," said Faye.

"All right, I get it.  And now, it's time you headed to home," said Vulpes.

"Aww Vul…!" exclaimed Faye, Sara, and Cody.

"Vulpes' right.   C'mon, she will take you all home," said Fang.

"But, I can't take them all," said Vulpes.

"If you want, I can take the girls, Vulpes," said another voice.  It was Lance.

"Alright, Lance, I'll take Cody home.  Let's go, Cody-boy," said Vulpes.

"Cody-boy??" asked Cody with a confused face as Bado was teletransported inside of his
pokeball as well Mizar and Gaia.

Sometime later, Vulpes was taking Cody to his house.

"Hey Vulpes, you love Jake, don't you?" Cody asked Vulpes.

"WHAT?  Cody, what makes you think I love Jake? I'm a fox and he's a kat," said Vulpes,
turning bright red herself.

"You're turning bright red," said Cody. 

"And, what about you and Faye?" asked Vulpes as Cody turned bright red himself.

"Well I…"

"Alright, honestly, boy, I love him and you need to be honest about your feelings for
Faye," Vulpes told Cody.

"That's funny. I fall in love with Faye whose guardian is the one you fall in love with. 
And, just recently Bado said he'd fallen in love with Mizar," said Cody, smiling.

"All right...  Look, is that the house where you live?" asked Vulpes, pointing to the house.

"Yes.  Thanks, Vulpes - good night," said Cody as he entered his house. 

"Good night Cody-boy," said Vulpes as she left.

When Cody entered his home, he noticed that his sister Lorelei was in the living room but
she didn't look well.  Her breathing was heavy.

"Hey, Sis, what's up?" asked Cody, worried about his sister.

"Oh… Hi, Cody... It's … nothing.  You… better get going to your room… because you have…
class in the …morning," Lorelei told her brother.

Cody went to his room and locked the door.  He got out his pokéball and Bado appeared.

"Is this your room?" asked Bado, looking at Cody's room.

"Shh……… My parents are sleeping.  Don't wake them up," said Cody, changing his clothes
to sleep.

"All right then.  Good night, Cody," said Bado, falling asleep.

"Good night, Bado," said Cody as he fell asleep.

Author's note: This is Cody dream.

Faye was dressed like a princess and she was running away from a big and evil dragon.  
Then, she fell on the ground.  Just as everything was about to be lost, the dragon was
frozen solid by someone.  It was Cody wearing blue armor.

"Princess, are you ok?" Cody asked Faye.

"Yes, I'm ok...  Thanks to you," Faye replied.

Then, they were both ready to kiss each other when………

"CODY, WAKE UP!!" Bado yelled at Cody.  Cody woke up scared.  

"BADO! WHAT THE HELL YOU DOING? I WAS GETTING SO CLOSE TO THE
BEST PART OF MY DREAM," Cody yelled at Bado.

"Sorry...  But, look at the time," said Bado, showing Cody his alarm clock.  It was 8:30.

"Oh NO, I LOST TRACK OF THE TIME!!" Cody yelled. Quickly, he dressed up and get
his book bag. As he headed to the kitchen, he noted that there was nobody in the house,
just himself and Bado.

"Weird...  Nobody's home?  But, there's no time to worry about it. I'll eat an apple and go
to the school right now.  Bado, return," said Cody as Bado was transported inside of the
pokéball again.

Sometime later, at the Memorial hospital Megakat………

"I'm sorry, Mr. and Mrs. McClaw.  She won't make it," said Dr. Clawford, Sara's mother.

"No, save her," begged  Mrs. McClaw, crying.

"I'm sorry, but you need to warn Cody about it," said Dr. Clawford.

"But, Cody doesn't know about this, Serena.  It will be a big shock to him," Mr. McClaw
said, worried.

"He will find out sooner or later - please call him," said Dr. Clawford.
     

Sometime later, at the school………

"Oh boy, is this ever being a bad day for me," said Cody, looking at the paper in his hand.

"Don't worry, Cody.  I'm going with you.  I rarely got detention and this is your first
time," Faye told Cody.

"The weird thing is my parents and my sister weren't at home.  I wonder what happened,"
said Cody.

"Don't worry, Cody, it's probably nothing," Sara assured.

"I hope so, bud," Cody replied.

Then, the principal came up to them.

"Cody, I need to talk to you in my office," said the principal.

"Oh no, what now?" wondered Cody, worried.

When they came to the principal's office, Cody sat down in a chair.

"Cody, I'm so sorry, but I have bad news.  It's about your sister," the principal said.

"What happened with my sister, Mr. Silverclaw?" asked Cody, worried.
 

Mr. Silverclaw just sighed.  "She's in the hospital, Cody.  She's not good shape," he said.

"SAY WHAT?!" yelled Cody.


Hours later, at the Hospital………….

"Where's my sister, Mom? Where is she?" asked Cody, crying as he hugged his mother.

"Oh, my dear..... I'm sorry we didn't tell you about it," said Mrs. McClaw.

"Tell me what?" asked Cody.

"Son.... she has heart trouble," said Mr, McClaw.

"She has heart trouble?! Why you didn't tell me that before?" asked Cody, crying. 

"We thought it would be a big shock to you.  And, you're too young to understand," said
his mother.

"WHAT?! I'M NINE YEARS ALREADY AND I CAN UNDERSTAND.... YOU TWO
WHO DON'T UNDERSTAND!" Cody yelled in pure rage as tears rolled down his face.

Just then, Dr Clawford walked up to them.

"Cody, calm down.  Remember you're in the hospital," she reminded, trying to calm Cody
down.

"Mrs. Clawford, can I see  Lorelei?" asked Cody.

"Yes... I suggest you talk with her because I'm afraid it will be the last time you see her.
I'll take you to Lorelei's room," said Dr. Clawford.

Cody had to fight back a cry of fear when he saw Lorelei. Her face was white and she lay
very still in the bed. There were tubes in her left arm and monitors around her bed and an
oxygen mask over her face.  Then, she opened her eyes.

"Cody?... is that you?" asked Lorelei.  She was very weak.

"Shhh.... don't speak.  You're will be fine," said Cody. trying not to cry.

"I know... I'm gonna... die," said Lorelei, weakly.

"Don't say that....  You can't leave me that way," said Cody.

"Look, Cody.... get my.. crystal and ...find the... new guardian of love." 

As the last word got out, a screech was heard.  She flat-lined. 


Hours later, that night at the Feral's apartment, the phone rang.

"Faye, my dear, can you get the phone please?  I'm busy here," said Feral.

"Ok. Hallo.  This Faye speaking - who's speaking?" Faye asked into the phone.

"Faye, it's Mara - Cody's mother.  Is Cody there?" asked Mara, worried.

"No, he isn't.  Why do you ask?" asked Faye, worried.

Mara explained Lorelei and how she had heart trouble and how she flat-lined at the
moment Cody found out the truth and he ran from the Hospital.

"Calm down.  I'll see if he is at Sara's," said Faye.  Then, she got another phone and she
dialed up Sara's apartment to see if he was there.

"Hallo? Oh, hi Faye, what's up?" asked Sara.

"Sara, is Cody with ya?" Faye asked Sara.

"No, why?" replied Sara.

"Holy kats, Mrs. Mara, I guess Cody ran away," Faye returned into the other phone.

"Cody WHAT?! Faye, what's going on?" Sara asked Faye.

"FAYE FERAL, LET ME SPEAK WITH YOUR FATHER NOW!!" yelled Mara.


Sometime later, at the restaurant.............

"Hey, Vulpes, did you like the food?" Jake asked Vulpes in her feline form.

"It was nice, Jake.  I need to tell you something," said Vulpes seriously.

"I have tell you something too.  You first," said Jake.

"No, you go first," said Vulpes.

"Ok, Vulpes, I...." 

Then, their communicators rang.  They paid the bill and went to a place where nobody
could see or hear them.

"Red Swat and Fox Swat here - what's up?" asked Jake.

"Jake, it's me - Cody ran away," said Faye.

"What? But why?" asked Vulpes.

"Later I'll tell you everything.  Please find him," begged Faye.

"Don't worry, we're gonna find him," said Jake as he turned off his communicator.

"Vulpes, can you use your powers to find him?" Jake asked Vulpes.

"I'll try, Jake," said Vulpes as she used her psychic powers to find Cody.  She saw Cody at
the MegaKat Central Park with Bado.

"He's in the park. Let's roll," said Vulpes, walking away with Jake.

Meanwhile in MegaKat park……..

"Cody, listen to me please.  Let's go back to your home.  Your parents are worried about
ya," said Bado.

"No, I can't.  They lied to me about the problem with my sis.  How can I be an honest
child of virtue if my parents lied to me?"

"Well …I…  They must have a good reason...  That's right - a good reason.  Talk with
them," said Bado.

"No way!  I won't go back home," Cody angrily told Bado.

"But, Cody…" began Bado, stopping as he suddenly felt an evil energy close to them. 

"Be careful, Cody.  I feel something evil close to us."

A black elf appeared from the shadows.

"Who are you?" asked Cody.

"I'm Alcion, the black elf of the darkness and shadows.  You must be a child of virtue if
you have an ice galamon. I suppose you're the Child of Honesty. So, give me your amulet
and the crystal," Alcion ordered Cody.

"NO WAY!!" yelled Cody as he transformed into the Blue Virtue.

"If you hunt my friend, black elf, you must defeat me first," growled Bado.

"Ha ha ha…… you must be joking.  Are ya?  Well, if you want to die…"

"STOP!!" yelled another voice.

They looked to the right and they saw Razor and Vulpes in her real form.

"Well, well, well… Look who's here: the princess of the shadow foxes.  You're much bigger
than the last time I saw you," said Alcion.

"I can still remember what you did to me and our planet, traitor," growled Vulpes.  

"Vulpes, don't tell me she's…," began Razor.

"That's right Razor, she's Alcion; the assassin of my family and my Planet," she said to
Razor.

"Yes, and what are you gonna do to save the brat and his pat from my strike?" asked
Alcion as she pointed her hand at Bado and Cody.  Vulpes darted in front of them to
protect them, but she was hit in the back.

"VULPES!!!" yelled Cody, Bado, and Razor.

"Ha, my plan is working perfectly.  Now, little boy, let's make a little trip.  I need ya to
find the celestial armor," said Alcion.

"Celestial armor?!" Vulpes wondered before she fell into the darkness.

Then, Alcion teletransported herself, Cody, and Bado.  

"Cody, Bado!" yelled Razor.  Then, he ran to Vulpes, who lay still on the ground.

"Vulpes? Vulpes!? Oh no, Airos, it's Razor!  Come here now.  Vulpes is pretty bad,"
Razor yelled into his communicator.


Meanwhile, Cody opened his eyes and saw Bado by his side.  He noted they weren't in
MegaKat anymore; they were in a snowy place.

"Bado, where we are?" Cody asked Bado.

"Well, that sign answers your question," said Bado, pointing to a sign.

"Oh no, we're in Alaska.  What are we gonna do, Bado?" Cody asked Bado.

"I don't know.  Hey, Cody, look at your amulet - it's glowing," said Bado as they looked
at the amulet.

"You're right, but it's glowing just a little. What does that mean?" asked Cody.

"Maybe it's something to do with that celestial armor that elf mentioned. C'mon, let's get
out of here before that elf finds us," said Bado.

"Right, I just hope Vulpes is Ok," said Cody as he and Bado walked away.

Meanwhile, in the Hangar ……

"How is she, Airos?" a worried Jake asked Airos.

"She's pretty bad and she's unconscious.  I don't know when she will wake up," said Airos.

"Jake, I found out what Alcion is looking for," said Kendrix, showing him some pictures
from the Avallon Book.

"They're called the Celestial Armor; it says here that this armor has the same symbol as the
Virtue amulets and when a Virtue Child uses their amulet, a miracle happens with the child
and their Galamon," Kendrix explained.

"Because of that, Alcion got Cody.  She'll use him to find the Celestial Armor.  Kendrix,
can you use your powers to find Cody and Bado?" Jake asked Kendrix.

"Well, I will try, but if they are too far away from here, we got problems," Kendrix told
Jake.

Back to Cody and Bado…

"Look at that, Cody," said Bado to Cody.

"Woah… It's an aurora.  I've never see an aurora before," Cody told Bado.

"It's beautiful, but… I'm hungry," replied Bado.

"Me too, buddy, and… Can you smell that?" Cody asked, sniffing something in the air.

"Me too.  It's that way," said Bado, pointing his paw.  

Ahead, they saw a hut.  They ran toward it.  When they arrived at the hut, they looked in
the window and saw a lot of food inside.

"What you doing here?" asked another voice.

Cody and Bado looked back and saw a she-tiger with white fur and light brown strips
behind them. She had long blond hair and crystal blue eyes.

"It can't be!  You're an Ice Kakaroto from Avallon," said the female.

"How did you know about that?" asked Cody in surprise.

"My name is Prusea. I'm a ground-tiger from Nyuua," said Prusea.

"Hey, that is the same planet Airos is from," said Bado.

"What? Look, enter my hut and tell me what's going on.  I suppose you are both hungry,"
said Prusea. 

When they were inside of the hut, Cody and Bado ate a lot of food and they talked with
Prusea.

"Hey, Prusea, by chance do you know Airos? He's from Nyuua too," commented Bado.

"No, but I've heard about him.  He's a very lovely sky tiger and he's also a great warrior
and doctor," said Prusea.

"Do you live here alone?" asked Cody.

"No, I live with my little brother.  He's about the same age as you," said Prusea.

Then, a young boy appeared in the hut.  He looked very like Prusea.

"Bado, Cody, this is Trace, my brother," said Prusea.

"Nice to meet you.  It's good to have some friends around here. You wanna borrow some
of my clothes?  I think it'd better than that uniform," said Trace.

"Oh yeah. Thanks, Trace," said Cody as they went into another room.

"Prusea, can ya do me a favor?"  Bado asked.

"Of course, what's up?" asked Prusea.

"Well, he's a little mad with his parents.  Could you talk him into returning home?" asked
Bado.

"Well, I'll try..." 

Then, Trace and Cody returned, wearing cold weather clothes.
     
"Well, boys, you didn't tell me how you got here if MegaKat is miles far away from
here..." said Prusea.

"Well because of a black-ralph," said Cody.

"It's elf, Cody.  Her name is Alcion and she left us here to find something called the
Celestial Armor," said Bado.

"Celestial Armor?  Are you a Child of Virtue?" asked Prusea in surprise.

"Yes, I'm the Child of Honesty and..." 

Then, the love crystal fell to the ground.  As Prusea picked up the crystal to give to Cody,
the crystal began to glow.

"Can't be.... You're the new guardian of Love!" Cody gasped to Prusea.

An instant later, the hut was destroyed.  When they saw the person who had destroyed the
hut, it was Alcion.

"I finally found ya," said Alcion.

"Stay back! Or  else..." 

"Or else what? You can't do anything."  

Then, Prusea's body began to glow and suddenly she was using a sliver armor and she was
holding a beautiful silver sword in her hand.

"I forgot to tell ya, I'm an Iron-gray and I can make anything from Diamondsteel," said
Prusea.

"What?! You will be very useful to my plans, tiger." Alcion began to fight with Prusea, but
suddenly, Alcion made a rent in the ice ground and Trace, Cody, and Bado fell into it.

"TRACE, CODY, BADO!!!" yelled Prusea even as Alcion socked her in the face.

Meanwhile, Trace, Cody, and Bado were still falling down the rent.  Suddenly, Bado used
his Ice beam and made a slide to save himself, Trace, and Cody.

"Nice work, Bado," said Cody.

"Yeah and… look, Cody!  Your amulet is glowing," said Trace.

"Your chest too.  What do you have inside of your jacket?" asked Cody.

Then, Trace showed them an amulet with a strange symbol on it of a tiny canine with six
wings and its side was an arrow.  The amulet was glowing too.

Then, from the icy ground, two metallic sets armor appeared.  One was blue in dragon
form and the other one was white in the form of a fox with six wings.  The armor became
beams of light that went into their amulets.

"Cody, I guess we found the fourth child," said Bado.
  
"Yeah, but now we need to help Prusea," said Cody.

Back at the duel…..

"It's over, girl..," growled Alcion.

Then, Trace, Cody, and Bado appeared to help Prusea.

"No way!  You're here?!" screamed Alcion.

"Yes, and for your information, we've found the armor.  And, I need to thank you for
helping us to find the fourth child," said Cody.

"WHAT?! Grr… I'll destroy your city and your friends!" said Alcion.  Then, she
disappeared into  thin air.

"Oh no, Bado, what are we gonna do?" asked Cody.

"Maybe I can help you," said another voice.

Then, they saw a beautiful winged unicorn.  Her wings were golden and her body was
white like the snow.

"Who are you?" asked Prusea.

"I'm Artemis - a light Pegasus.  I can teletransport you all to MegaKat.

"Really? Please, you gotta help us," said Cody.

Then, they were in MegaKat again.  Cody noted that he was wearing his Virtue Kid
uniform.

"What the hell is that?" asked Trace, pointing to a giant sea snake.

"That's my seadra.  I hope you have fun," said Alcion as she teletransported herself to the
crusader.

When the seadra attacked them, something happened to Bado.  His body was changing.

"ICE KAKAROTO TRANSFORM TO…." 

He was becoming bigger.

"NEPTUNE KAKAROTO." 

Bado was suddenly much bigger, bigger than City Hall.  He had a pair of wings and his tail
looked like that of a fish.

When the seadra attacked Bado with an ice beam, Bado attacked it with powerful blue
flames.

"FROST FLAMES!" yelled Bado, firing at the monster.  

Then, the monster became a card and the card and became ashes.  Suddenly, Bado became
normal again and Cody hugged him.

"I guess you have a explanation for us," said anther voice.  It was Razor and Kendrix.

"Oh... Hi.. well… I found the fourth child," said Cody.

"Hallo, I'm Trace and that's my sister Prusea," said Trace.

"Well, it'll be best if we talk with you at the Hangar.  But first, I'll take Cody home," said
Razor.

Sometime later, someone knocked on the door.  When Mara opened it, she saw Cody.

"Mom, forgive me," said Cody, hugging his mother and crying.

"No, you need forgive us.  Come on, we have to talk," she said as they entered the house.

"I just hope that it doesn't happen again," said Jake.

"Me too.  But, don't worry - they'll be ok.  But… what happened with that giant kakaroto I
saw this afternoon?" asked Faye.

"Well Faye, all can I say is we gotta new mission," said Jake.
