Hi everyone. I'm doing a short story of Christmas. A week before Christmas
Jack and Amy visit Chance and Jake to tell them some good news. 

Title: Amy Dearest

	"Hey, Chance, have ya heard?"  

	The big tabby sat on the sofa, watching advertisements (there was nothing else on T.V.) 
"Heard what?" he asked the small orange kat. 

	"My brother and Amy are coming to stay.....  Chance?" 

	Chance had hid under the table. "Amy!!....  Say I'm sick with chicken pox." 

	"But, Chance, you had the chickenpox when you were nine years old, and you can only catch
chickenpox once."  

	"Well, say I've got the flu then."  

	Jake's eyes narrowed slightly.  "You're scared of Amy, aren't you?"

	Chance jumped up. "Well, I have a right to be!  Last time she was here, she made
us do the hula!!!!"
                     
	A car pulled up outside the garage and a couple stepped out. Amy and Jack.

	Jake was happy that his brother was getting married, but Chance wasn't as
happy. 

	"Ya know, Jake.  I don't think Jack should marry her." 

	Jake looked at his big tabby friend. "And, why not?  He's finally found a 
she-Kat who loves him."

	As Amy came up to them, Chance got nervous. "Um...... Oh, I think another
Scaredy Kat marathon's starting....  See you later...  Good luck..  I.. I mean,
congratulations, Jack." 

	As Chance hurried into the living room and sat down in front of a t.v, 
Jack looked puzzled as Jake came up with an excuse.

	"....It's a special Christmas marathon." 

	"I'll go and talk to him." Amy said.

	Chance freaked out slightly when she came in.

	"Oh quit it, Chance," she snapped at him. 

	Chance didn't quit it. "I haven't forgotten how you broke my heart by
running off with another Tom Kat!" Chance snapped back at her.

	She bared her teeth (looking like T-Bone when he's angry). "Listen, Chance! I did 
not run off with that Tom Kat.  He dragged me off.  He treated me badly.  I ran away.  I
could never find the right Kat after that......  Then, I met Jack.....  He's the
nicest Kat I've ever met.....  Besides, Chance, you love Call and you know I'd
never ruin your relationship."

	Chance calmed down. "Really?"  

 	"Really," Amy replied, smiling. 

	Chance didn't know what to think. "I'm sorry...  I guess I got the wrong end of the stick."


	"..Or the chili pepper," Amy joked. 

Later on, after lunch.....

	Jake: So, when are you guys getting married?

	Jack: Oh, after Christmas.....  Say, you wouldn't mind if we stayed a while, would you?

	Jake: Well, I don't know.

	Chance: Of course you guys can stay - we don't mind.

	Jake: Wow, Chance...  How did you change your mind?

	Chance: Well, buddy, I guess I just misunderstood, that's all..  Anyway, let's have
a toast of milk.....  To Jack and Amy.

	Jake: To Jack and Amy.

	Jack and Amy: To us.

	All: Cheers. Merry Christmas and a happy new year.
