Title: Searching the City, Part 2 Author: Rebecca Mason Manga, Harley and Ragina ran down the streets of MegaKat City in a hope that they'd find someone who knew what happened fourteen years ago. "Maybe we should get bikes to go down to the garage," Ragina suggested. "Yeah, you're right!!!!" Manga wheezed. So then, after they got on their bikes, they pedaled down to Jake and Chance's Garage. "Say, Manga, should we knock first?" Manga looked at the door. "Hmmmm, no. I say we just go in." So, they went into the garage. "Halllooo! Anyone hereee!!!!!" Ragina yelled. "It's me, big bro! It's your darling sister Ragina...." Chance came down. "(sigh)... and I was gonna win too..." Manga looked puzzled. "Win at what?" Chance looked at her. "Oh, me and Jake were racing each other on the obstacle course...." Chance was cut off by Manga interrupting. "Wooowww coooool, can I have a go.....OOWW!! WHAT DID YOU DO THAT FOR!!?" Manga yelled at Ragina. "Umm, aren't you forgetting....about..." "Oh yeah, hee hee...(Manga blushes) Say, Chance, about fourteen years ago.... Um... Well, about the thing with the witch-kat..." "Oh yeah, that.... Well, let's see I was....... around... I was 8 years old.... Still in Kitty Katz Elementary School....!" "Okay, Chance, we get the idea," all three kittens retorted. "Alright!!!! ....Anyway, one particular night we heard on Katz Eye News (then hosted by Alexander Gora, Ann Gora's Father) that the Enforcers had hunted down and brought to trial this proclaimed Witch Kat. Personally, I felt sorry for this She-Kat because no one would let her speak, and from what I heard she did have a kitten. But, the Enforcers said that this She-Kat had put the kitten in a boat and pushed it downstream..... Well, after that there was a lot of talk about this She-Kat. Some kats here started up a petition to free this poor She-Kat. I would have joined up, but I was too young and I had school. When in school there were kats with mixed feelings about the She-Kat. I felt terrible..... Then, on the news they finally showed her photograph. It's kinda funny really because she looked just like you, Manga." Manga just stared. ".....Cos she had the same colour hair (not the same level though), same colour fur, big gorgeous eyes that shone like the sun....... Anyway, that day was a sad day for the kats that supported her. Apparently, she died in her cell that evening.... Say, Manga, are you alright?" Ragina and Harley looked at her. "Manga, you ok?!!!!" Manga just stood there, her face as white as a sheet. In her mind she was told something that made her freeze. 'I saw a ghost in my bedroom cabinet mirror!!!!!' Manga then came to. "Oh me? Hah, I'm fine. I'm just fine.... Heh, well thanks, Chance." She noticed Jake had walked into the room and looked worried. "Hey, li'l lady, you okay? Chance told me you'd froze and your fur was as white as a sheet." Manga blushed slightly. "No, I'm fine now, but tell Chance I thank him for being concerned.... Oh well, gotta go - see ya later, hee hee." Manga waved at Chance and Jake then walked outside, got on her bike and rode home. "Oh, hello, sweetheart - tea will be ready in fifteen minutes, okay?" "Okay, Mum," Manga replied. She then settled down to watch t.v. Ragina and Harley came over after she had her tea. "Hi, Manga, how are you?" Ragina asked her friend. "Yeah, I'm fine, but I think I'm the daughter of that Witch-She Kat." Ragina and Harley looked at her then said, "Cool." Manga sighed with relief. At least she could rely on her friends to keep her dark secret a secret. Peeky curled up on Manga's lap. "Pika Pika Pi." "Oh, I almost forgot - Peeky, you can keep a secret can't ya?" "Pikachu Pika." "Hee Hee. I take that as a yes," Manga said to her Pikachu. Together Manga, Harley, Peeky and Ragina would hold the secret of her past a secret forever...... Well, until she reaches the R.P.G anyway. THE END. (WELL FOR NOW ANYWAY.)
