Summary:
Harmony Morris and Gabriella McKlaw are going to Megakat City with their rock
group. When they get there, they realize that the brakes on their van aren't working.

Prologue

     "Ooh crap, what do you want?" 

     "I'm sorry to bother you, princess, but don't your lessons start at 8 o'clock?" 

     "Oh, double crap - go to the limo, Nicatalous.  I'm on my way!!" 

     "Yes, princess." 

     "Could you PLEASE stop calling me that? - it's getting rather annoying after
knowing you for 4 years." 

     "Yes, PRINCESS," he said going to the limo. 

     The princess put on her makeup and her regular clothes in a few secs and
rushed down a corridor, a stair and through a big hall and into an old dining room
to grab a quick breakfast.  When she entered, she saw one of her older brothers
having a late breakfast.

      "Hi, Kit (Kristopher)!!"

      "Hi, Harm, how are you and the others doing? Late again, uh. When we were
your age, we had a private teacher.  We were never late." 

     "I don't want a private teacher. It's that darn alarm clock - it doesn't work. 
And, we are doing fine - why do you ask?" 

     "Well, Justin called me this morning to say that WE ARE GOING ON A
TOUR with the band this summer!!" 

     "What did you say????"  She almost fainted.

      "We are going on a tour through this Island and the continent." 

     With disbelief in her face she said, "Well, what are we going to tell our parents? 
They don't know we have a band, you know.  And, how did Justin fix this tour?
What about the city and Lee Katain's pupils?" 

     "The city can live without Ice & Flame for four months - the sentinels will take
care of the villains for that little time.  Ice & Flame need a vacation. Lee also needs
a vacation.  Let Aaura and Angus take care of his responsibilities." 

     "Have you told the rest?" 

     "Only Cory.  Can you tell Goldie and Vickie?" 

     "Sure, I have to run - Nick is waiting in the limo!"  

Chapter 1:  Sabotage?

4 months later

     A ship entered the Megakat harbor.  On the deck, two 21 year old she-kats
were talking.  One of them had long, brown hair and steel blue eyes.  The other
one had long, golden yellow hair and soft green eyes. 

     The she-kat with golden hair said, "Aaaah, four weeks vacation left and we are 
going to spend them here in Megakat City.  That's luck.  I told dad that I would
look for his old school pal when we got here."

      "It's not all vacation.  We have two gigs, you know.  And, how are you going
to find him?  We don't know anybody here to ask."

      "Yeah, but I know his name and I remember where he lived.  I lived her when I
was little, you know." 

     "I don't think he lives in the same house that he lived in 14 years ago." 

     "Maybe." 

     Two kats - a tall and muscular grey kat and a tall kat with brown fur and black
hair - walked towards them. 

     "Hey, girls, the ship is docking - let's go to the vans." 

     "Okey-dokey," his sister said, and they walked to the vans. 

     The four met three other kats by the vans - a short Siamese kat, a she-kat with
yellow, pink, and blue hair; and a kat with black and brown hair. The kats spoke a
few words and the four kats jumped in one van and the trio jumped in a similar
black, silver, gold and white van next to the other.

     "Driving this van is like driving a refrigerator compared to Vortex," said the
she-kat with brown hair, known as Harm, when she drove one of the two vans to
their hotel. 

     "Yeah, I know. I miss them too. It's been almost two months since we left. 
I hope the sentinels mange without Ice & Flame." said Goldie. 

     "They will, and I got a surprise for you two tomorrow," said Harm's big
brother Cory. 

     "I don't like surprises - you know that.  Please tell us." 

     "Ok, because you begged. When you were packing, me and Kit packed
down some of your equipment and Vortex and Blaze in a packing-case and left it
at the post office with the orders to deliver it to our hotel in Megakat city. We
knew that you would be bored on a vacation." 

     "And, who gave you permission to do that and why did you think that we
would be bored?" said Goldie with a big smile. 

     "Blaze told us (begged us to send them) and Vortex gave us permission,"
said Cory and winked. 

     "Hmm, guys," said Harm, but nobody took any notice. The traffic lights
went red but Harm didn't stop. 

     "The lights were....." 

     "Yeah, I know but the brakes aren't working." 

     "WHAT!!?" said Goldie, Cory, and Nicatalous in unison. 

     "The brakes are dead," said Harm again. 

     "Well, if you are  going to crash, there's a salvage yard - a perfect place."
said Cory joking. 

     "Well, I need to get  the oil changed anyway. But, I probably can do it
better myself.  While we are here, we might as well drive in," said Harm with a grin
and drove through the entrance. She put the gearshift in park mode and the wheels
locked, leaving two black marks on the ground.  The van stopped an inch from a
garbage truck.  The four kats jumped out of the van and saw four other kats. 

     Two of them looked like mechanics and the other two looked like garbage
collectors. The smallest of the garbage collectors said, "Hey, girl, did you get your
driving license from a box of cereal?" 

     Harm walked up to him and pulled his cap over his eyes with a grin on her
face and said, "Well, isn't it Dumb and Dumber." She felt like kicking him in the
stomach, but she didn't.  She walked up to one of the mechanics.   They were
carrying away garbage that the garbage collectors had left in front of their door.
She gave the key to the van to one of them. 

     "Here,...Jake, the brakes and the gearbox need fixing and she needs an oil
change." She put her hand in her pocket and toke out a very tiny cellular phone
"Heya, it's me - the brakes on the van are broken.  Can you come and pick us up
at..?"  

     She looked up at Jake and he answered, "Jake & Chance's Repair &
Salvage." 

     "At Jake & Chance's Repair & Salvage....no...I don't got any tools...
According to Cory, I will get them tomorrow..........Ok, see ya." She put the phone
back in her pocket and said to Goldie and Cory, "Looks like we are going to stay
here for about 2 hours.  Where is Nick?" 

     "He's in the van."

     At the same time, two eyes were watching every move Harm made. 

     'Darn, the plan didn't work. Look how she's flirting with that little scrawny
kat.  She makes me feel so... mad, but not at her.  Never at her, my sweet princess.
Well..,' his mouth  got an evil grin. 'Well, I just have to come up with a better plan.'
