Chapter 1: Mishaps in the Mall

It’s a quiet night in Mega Kat City as everyone is sleeping soundly for the recent peace in the area but this silence wouldn't last long just ask Chance Furlong as he gets up from a sound coming from the next room he gets up and leans over and picks up two bundles from a crib theses are his sons BJ and CJ.

"Come on guys why were crying? You guys hungry?" Chance said as he smiles and walks into the kitchen sleepy and gets two bottles from the fridge and heats them up and then he gives them to the boys as they began to drink them up.

"You guys finished now it’s time to burp ya," Chance said as he put both of the boys over his shoulder and patted them on the back both of the boys burped up and they went back to sleep. Chance got up and put them in the crib and looked at them for awhile before he went back to his own bed and slept til morning

Morning Time

It’s early in the morning and the alarm off Chance’s clock began to rang he smash the top and woke up with one eye still closed he walks into his sons room and he saw them just awaking up he smiles

"Hey boys good morning," Chance said as the babies see their daddy and smiles back and they raised their hands up he knew what they wanted he picks them up an takes them into the living room and places them in the play pen the boys begin to play with their toys as Chance watches Scaredy Kat he hears Jake’s voice coming from down the hall he walks in with a toothbrush in his mouth he sees Chance sitting down

"Hey Chance kids kept you up again?" Jake said as he continues to brush his teeth but Chance laughed at him and smiled.

"Nope I gotten used to being a father now so it doesn't don't bother me right guys?" Chance said as his sons are playing with each other but then Jake notices smell and held his nose he knew what it was he looks at Chance.

"Ugg Chance someone needs a change," Jake said as Chance stood there and gets up and takes the boys upstairs for their diaper change he put a clothes pin on his nose as he began to unravel CJ’s diaper.

"Ugg this is so disgusting I got to watch what you guys eat from now on," Chance said as he took off the dirty diaper and threw it in the waste basket and put a fresh one for both of the boys he picks them up and carries them in the living room to play again he then hears Jake complaining about something.

"Chance I need some things from the mall but I can't leave because I have to fix someone’s car this morning you may have to take the kids too," Jake said as Chance had a look of dismay on his face he agrees and gets a diaper bag , bottle , and a carrier for the boys he put some clothes on the boys CJ’s blue shirt and pants and BJ’s red shirt with blue pants too he walks outside and gets into the pick up car and straps the boys in the car seat and they drive to the mall he puts the boys in the carrier and grabs the bags and walks towards the store he looks at the list Jake gave him and walked in he gets the tools Jake needs for the garage and then he goes and sit down and closes his eyes for a minute and opens them up and looks at the last item on the list and looked shocked.

"You got to be kidding me man Felina got Jake whipped oh well then," Chance said as he walked into a women’s clothing store to get some lotion for Felina but he didn't know that the boys got loose from the carrier and started crawling around the store as Chance got up to the counter he noticed the clothes were gone he begins to freak out and starts looking for them he looks around for them he blindly goes into the women’s changing rooms and see some women still changing around he looks and then gets slapped he then looks in the perfume section and get sprayed by free sample he begins coughing then he hears some ladies crowding around a circle Chance walks to them and see his sons in the center he picks them up and hugs them as he was worried about them the ladies looked at chance and started talking.

"How cute what cute kids you have," said a lady as Chance blushed from the comment and the ladies all agreed Chance waved goodbye to them and he walked back to the truck and then he looked at the boys who were tired he sees them sleeping and he smiles at them and said, "Those two are something else Jake wouldn't believe me if I told him."

He smiled he arrives to the hangar and sees Jake in the garage working on the car Chance gave him the stuff he asked for and Jake noticed a smell on Chance.

"Umm Chance where have you been you smell like a perfume shop" Jake said as he begins to laugh Chance sighed.

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you." Chance smiles "Now if you’ll excuse me I'm taking the boys for their nap now," Chance says as he takes the boys upstairs and placed them in the crib as they went to sleep Chance went to his bed and fell on the bed and slept peacefully.

Chapter 2: Date (Done by Sksaber)

The next morning, after the mishap at the mall…

Chance’s alarm clock started to go off. He groaned and opened one bloodshot eye, staring at the clock. He mumbled something unintelligibly and hit the top of it with his fist, shutting it off. Chance sat up and yawned as he stretched his arms out.

“Morning already?” he mumbled to himself. “Well, I guess it’s time to go check on the boys then.”

He kicked the covers off of him, stood up out of the bed and headed into the boys room. He poked his head in to see CJ busily gnawing on his teething ring, as BJ lay next to him swinging a teddy bear back and forth through the air. The two of them suddenly caught sight of their father, and dropped whatever they were doing in favor of whining for him to come and see them. Chance grinned as he walked over to the crib and pick them both up.

“Good morning, boys!” He said with a smile. “I guess you guys must be hungry eh? Come on, let’s get you both a bottle then.”

Chance walked down stairs with the boys in his arms and sets them down in their play pen, while he goes to heat up their bottles. Jake comes down a few minutes later and reaches down into the play pen to pat the boys on the head. Chance takes the bottles out of the microwave and looks at Jake.

“Hey, heads up!” Chance said as he tossed the two bottles at Jake. It caught Jake by surprise, but he did catch them.

“Hey Chance,” he said as he bent down to give BJ & CJ their bottles.

“Hey Jake, you mind watchin’ them for a few minutes? I gotta go get dressed.”

“Sure thing,” Jake replied. “Hey, before you go! Callie called me a few minutes ago.”

Chance smiled and quickly looked back at Jake. “Callie, really?”

“Yeah, she’s coming to have her car inspected later on,” Jake replied. “You sure seem excited,” he said sarcastically. “Why would that be?”

Chance blushed and scratched the back of his head, while laughing goofily.

“Oh come on Jake!” he said. “Should I even have to say it?”

“Does that mean you’re finally going to ask her out?” Jake asked. “You ought to stop hesitating; I know she likes you to.”

“Alright then sure shot!” Chance said. “I’ll ask her when she comes over today!”

“Yeah, we’ll see,” Jake said with a smile.

Later on that day…

Chance was sitting on the couch watching Scaredy Kat, while bouncing BJ on his knee. Jake had CJ, feeding him another bottle. Jake saw a green car pull up from outside and honk.

“Hey Chance, Callie’s here,” Jake said as he put CJ back in the play pen. “You uh, ready?”

“Of course I am!” Chance replied as he got up to put his BJ down with CJ. He opened the garage door for the car and looked back at Jake with a smirk. “Just sit back and watch me work.”

Callie pulls in the garage and steps out of the car. “Hi guys, am I late?”

“Nope, right on time Cal,” Jake answered. “Just a routine check up today?”

“Yeah, that’s all I’ve got time for today,” she said as she handed Jake her keys. “I’ve gotta get back to City Hall and write another speech for Manx. You know how that is.”

Jake just nodded in agreement and opened the hood of the car. Callie strolled toward Chance and waved at him. He nervously waved back and laughed softly.

“Okay, Chance,” he thought to himself. “This is it. The worst she can say is no, you can do this. All I have to do is ask her out. Okay then.”

Chance put his finger up to say something… as Callie walked right past him toward the play pen. His mouth hung open as he watched her bend down and make little baby noises for the boys

“Hello boys!” she said, picking BJ up out of the pin and scratching his tummy. BJ laughed happily, flailing his arms and legs back and forth. CJ didn’t pay any attention as he was still preoccupied with his bottle.

“I don’t believe this,” Chance thought. “Those two get more and more of her attention every time she comes over here! Alright it’s now or never.”

He walked over to Callie and nervously tapped her shoulder. She turned and looked at him with a smile on her face. There was an awkward silence between them for a moment, as neither one would say a word. Callie finally decided to speak up.

“Hey Chance,” she said, with a smile still on her face. “What’s wrong?”

“Oh, nothing!” Chance quickly replied. “Nothing’s wrong at all, Cal! Why would you say that?”

“Because you wouldn’t say anything., Callie replied. “Now, what is it?”

“Oh.” Chance mumbled. “I… Callie, I wanted to… *sigh* … Callie, would you like to go out with me this Saturday? You know, if you aren’t busy or anything.”

“Out?” she asked. “… No, I’m not busy Saturday.”

“So, do you want to?” he asked.

Callie looked back down at the kitten she was holding. BJ was still laughing, looking back up at her. Callie looked at Chance again and nodded.

“I’d love to Chance,” she said.

“Wha- What?” Chance stuttered. “You mean it? That’s great! I’ll be right back, okay?”

Callie nodded once again as Chance sprinted back over to her car. “I was starting to think he would never ask.”

“Hey, Jake!” Chance said. “Jake buddy, I need a favor!”

“A favor?” Jake said with his head under the hood of the car. “What is it?”

“Could you watch the boys for me, while I’m out with Callie this Saturday?” Chance asked.

“Uh… no.” Jake replied. “Sorry, can’t do it bud.”

“Aw, come on, Jake!” Chance said, disappointed. “Why not, I need you man!”

“Hey, don’t get me wrong, Chance.” Jake started. “I would if I could, but I’ve got other plans. I’m taking Felina to dinner Saturday night. Remember?”

“Aww, crud,” Chance said. “I’m sorry, Jake, it totally skipped mind. Now what do I do?”

“Why don’t you just reschedule?” Jake asked.

“Well, it doesn’t look like I have too much of a choice,” Chance said, scratching his head. “Oh well, so much for Saturday.”

Chance slumped back over to the Deputy Mayor to tell her the news. “Hey uh, Cal. Listen, we’ve gotta reschedule.”

“Why’s that? What’s wrong Chance?”

“Nothing’s really wrong. I’ve just gotta stay here and look after my boys is all. I can’t get a sitter for Saturday.”

“Hm. That’s alright Chance,” Callie said. “We can take them with us!”

“Thanks for understanding Cal, I really… wait. What?”

“BJ and CJ. We can just take them with us this Saturday! It’ll be fun!”

“But Callie, I-“

“It’ll be fine Chance, don’t worry. I’d be happy to take them with us!”

“Hey, Callie!” Jake yelled out. “I’m all done!”

“Thanks Jake!” she yelled back handing Chance his son back. “Chance, I guess I’ll see you Saturday!”

“Right Saturday night, but Callie I-“

“I know, I’m looking forward to it too!” Callie said as she walked back toward her car. “I wish I could stay and talk, but I’ve really got to go!”

Jake handed Callie her keys and she pulled out of the garage, back to City Hall. Chance watched her drive off, with his mouth hanging open again.

“So, I take it everything went okay,” Jake said. “I mean, she sure seemed happy!”

“… Crud.” Chance said nervously. “I got a date with Callie, just like I wanted, I guess. But then again, so did BJ and CJ.”

“What?” Jake asked in confusion. “What are you talking about?”

“Never mind,” Chance replied with a sigh. “Just forget it.”

Chapter 3: The Big Date


The night of the big date Chance is standing in front of the mirror with a towel on making himself look good for Callie Jake knocks on the door with an angry tone.

"Come on Chance you been in there for an hour now she will be here in 10 minutes," Jake said.

"Keep your shirt on Jake I'm coming," Chance yelled as he came out the bathroom he walks into his room and changes into a white shirt blue pants and a brown leather jacket after he changes he goes into the boys’ room and put some clothes on them to which took awhile cause they were a bit fussy about it after that ordeal he goes into the living room and waits for Callie Chance begins pacing back and forward while BJ , CJ and Jake looks at him then Chance heard a car pull up and starts sweating.

"This is it *gulps* now or never," Chance said as Callie who was wearing a pink sweater and green pants she walks up to the door and when she did Chance was there to greet her as he was about to open his mouth she sees BJ and CJ on the couch and walks towards them.

"Hey guys you ready?" As she picks up BJ and plays with him a little bit Chance looked down and went back into the living room to get CJ and the diaper bag and bottles Callie grabs the car seat and puts the boys in the back sit as she goes to the front and sits in the passenger side Chance gets in and starts the car they drive down the road.

"So what do you have planned for us tonight Chance?" Callie said as she looks at Chance he looks at her.

"Well how about a movie or something?" Chance said as his face turned red.

"That would be lovely Chance," Callie said as she looks at the boys playing with their toys they arrive at the movies Callie and Chance got out the car and then got the boys out Chance got CJ out and the bags while Callie got BJ and tickled him a little BJ was laughing away while smiling at her they got their tickets and at down in their sits with the boys on each lap the movie starts and Chance begins thinking of what to say.

"I don't know what to say to her she so wonderful my boys love her and she looks good to and she smells wonderful........*sniffs* I don't think that’s her," Chance said as he look at CJ and he knew what to do he looks at Callie.

"Umm Callie I have to do something ummm important CJ had a little accident excuse me." Chance gets up and grabs his bag and goes into the bathroom and begins changing CJ.

"You did this on purpose didn't you huh," Chance smiled at him while changing him he threw away his diaper and put on a fresh one he then picks him up and goes back to the movie.

"Chance could you get me a bottle I think BJ’s hungry," Callie said as Chance got out the boys bottles he gives one to Callie and she starts to feed BJ and Chance gave CJ his bottle after they finished they burped the boys and sat til the movie ended they got up and walked back to the car Chance noticed that CJ was sleeping and BJ was nodding off.

"I guess the boys are tired now maybe we should go home and put the boys in bed," Callie said as she rock BJ to sleep Chance put CJ in the car seat he drives back to the garage and he gets out of the car and takes the boys and the bag inside but Callie called him.

"You know Chance I had a great time I hope we can do it again sometime bye boys," Callie said as she kiss Chance on the cheek and then kissed the boys who were still asleep he takes them inside and he notices that Jake hasn't got home yet he takes the boys into their crib and takes their clothes off and put on their jammies he watches the boys for awhile.

"Good night boys I love you guys," he said as he touches the boys on the head and he went to his room and fell asleep.

The next morning Chance got up and went to the kids’ room and they were still asleep he looks at them for awhile and then they wake up with a smile on their faces as Chance smiles and picks them up he takes them down stairs and he places them in their high chairs and gives them some strained carrots which the boys don’t like to eat but Chance got to eat it all he then notices that they were dirty so he went upstairs to give them a bath upstairs the kids splash him and Chance laughs as he gets hit by the kids’ water attack he then takes them out and dries them off he then put some clothes on them and puts them in the playpen he gives CJ his teething ring and BJ’s teddy bear he then turns on the TV and watches Scaredy Kat after awhile he hears Jake waking up from upstairs and he came downstairs looking sleepy he looks at Chance.

"How was the date?" Jake said as he yawns Chance laughed at him

"It was pretty good how’s yours?" Chance said with a grin Jake sighed.

"You don't wanna know it was alright in the beginning until her uncle came and spied on us," Jake said as Chance laughs.

"That’s Feral for ya then right boys," Chance said as he looks at the boys.

Jake stood there and looked annoyed at them but he laughs it off as he begins playing with the boys which he always do.

Chapter 4: The Way Brothers Should Be…

A few months have passed since Chance and Callie went on their date. Things between the two of them have been going smoothly since then. It’s getting pretty close to BJ and CJ’s 2nd birthday, so their father decided that it’s time for them to learn how to walk. CJ picked up on it rather quickly, being the first to do so. BJ however, is having trouble getting started…

“Come on, BJ!” Chance said as he held his arms out toward BJ. Jake was holding the kitten up to get him started. CJ was on the couch, lying on his side with a bottle in his mouth.

“Come here little buddy, you can do it!” Chance said with a big smile on his face. BJ wasn’t really paying any attention as he was hanging himself in the air supported by Jake. Chance was beginning to grow irritated with this, as they had been doing for about 30 minutes.

“Aw jeez,” Chance said with a sigh. “Okay Jake, you can let ’em go now.”

“Don’t worry about it, Chance,” Jake said, sitting BJ down on the couch. “He’ll get it, sooner or later.”

“Oh yeah, right,” Chance said sarcastically. “How long have I been tryin’ to get him to walk now? About two months right?”

“Yeah, that sounds about right,” Jake replied.

“I just don’t get it,” Chance said, lifting CJ up and sitting down where he was. “CJ learned in about two weeks. I thought BJ would at least pick up on it, but he’s not even trying.”

“What? Chance, you really think he knows what you want him to do?”

“No… I know that. But, he’s almost 2 years old. I learned when I was 1, didn’t you?”

“Yeah, but Chance it’s not something you can rush. He’ll walk when he’s ready, no later, no sooner.”

Chance gave another sigh and stood up. “Alright. Here, watch this one for me,” he said handing over CJ to Jake. Chance picked up BJ and headed toward the stairs. “I’m gonna put BJ down for his nap, since CJ just had his.”

“Okay,” Jake said. “Hey, you might want to take one yourself. You look exhausted.”

“Oh, yeah I have been pretty stressed lately,” Chance replied followed by a sleepy yawn. “Okay then, thanks.”

“Daddy!” CJ blurted out with a smile. It made Chance turn around with a grin, and waved to him.

“Bye-bye, CJ!” Chance said softly. “I’ll be back later!”

CJ imitated Chance by waving back at him as he and BJ went up the stairs.

Chance lay across his bed, with BJ resting comfortably on his stomach. Chance was stroking his kitten’s hair down with a smile. He was tired, but not sleepy. He was too busy thinking about his son to sleep.

“Aw BJ,” he started. “What am I gonna do with you? Why won’t you walk?”

BJ made a cooing noise as he turned around on his back. Chance nodded his head and decided that he might as well go to sleep, seeing as there was nothing else he could do. He was just about doze off when a knock came to the door.

“Yeah, come on in,” he said, half asleep already.

He was expecting it to be Jake, but it wasn’t. “Callie?” he said in surprise. “What are you doin’ here?” As Chance was getting up, Callie walked over to him. Chance puts BJ on his bed on his stomach.

"Chance, Jake told me what happened. Why are you forcing BJ to walk?" Callie said as she looks at Chance for an answer he just looks at her and then BJ

"I dunno, Callie, I just want him to walk that’s all. I wanna show them that I'm a good father and to make them happy," Chance said as Callie came over and hugged him. Chance closed his eyes.

"Chance, you are a good father to them you been there since they were born and every time they see you they always have a smile on their cute faces just be patient okay Chance you shouldn't make them compete with each other they are brothers not rivals," Callie said just then Chance heard BJ waking up he opens his eyes and sees his daddy beside him.

"Da da," he said as Chance was surprised that BJ was talking he picks his son up and hugs him as BJ grabbed his dad’s chest he placed his head on his chest knowing that he will always feel safe in his dad’s arms Chance begins look at BJ.

"Hey there BJ I don't care if you never walk I'll always love you my little guy........... and Callie you're right I shouldn't force them to compete with each other," Chance said as Callie smiles at the both of them she leaves the room as she looks at Chance and BJ were talking to each other.

The Twins Birthday

”Today’s the day Jake the day the boys were born I can't believe it’s been two years now I remember bringing them home after their mom had died one day after giving birth to them I didn't think I could do it on my own but with you guys helping me they have a happy life and I hope they always be happy....... Hapy birthday boys," Chance said as the boys were happy to celebrate their birthday Jake got the cake out of the oven and lit the candles two for CJ and two for his brother BJ on the cake were 2 candles as well.

"Blow out the candles boys," Chance said as the boys begins to blow their candles out in one attempt Callie got her camera and took a picture then Chance began to cut the cake and everybody begins to eat it CJ and BJ ate their slice Chance looks at them and notices that they have frosting on them Chance got a napkin and wiped it off after awhile they went to the living room to settle down pretty soon BJ got up on his own and started to walk towards his daddy Chance looked down and saw his son walking towards him a lot of emotions overcame Chance as he watched his son looking at him grabbing his leg and smiles at him Chance picked his son and put him on his lap

"I knew you could do it little buddy," Chance said as he goes to get CJ Callie got up and took a picture of the boys on their dad’s lap

Later that Night

Chance took his boys upstairs to their beds as he laid them down and put the covers over them as they slept Chance looks at them.

"I hope you guys will always be there for each other and not compete with each other alright good night boys," Chance said as he walks out the room and went to bed that night he dreamt about his boys always being there and he was in it to helping them out with any problems.

11 Years Later

Chance was walking down the hallways to his boys room knocking on the door

"Come on guys you're gonna be late for school," Chance yelled pretty soon he walks in to see the boys already ready for school CJ had on a red shirt while his brother BJ had a white long-sleeved with a orange shirt over it they get up they walk out the room.

"Alright then dad see you later you coming Little bro," CJ said as he got his back pack as BJ got his.

"Yeah lets go CJ," BJ said as they waved goodbye to their dad and towards to school.

Chance looks at the boys leaving as Callie came from behind him to see the boys leaving.

"They grow up so fast don't they, honey?" Callie said as she held her husband tightly as Chance looks at them.

"Yeah................ it’s been a long time but it went by so fast," Chance said.
