Challenges

  • Spectacular Spider-Kat Challenge From Kim Dreamcatcher: How about having Peter Parker, a.k.a. Spider-Man (he'd probably be called Spider-Kat in the Swat Kat world), in the Swat Kat universe? To explain how Peter ends up in MegaKat City, either have MegaKat City be an equivalent to New York City, or have Peter go to MegaKat City on a short vacation with Harry Osborn and his father, who's there on business for OsCorp. There's so many possible ways for this story to go, just let your imagination run free. For example, a Spider-Kat villain and a Swat Kat villain could team up, like maybe Dark Kat and Tombstone. Eventually, the Swat Kats and Spider-Kat would team up after acting on their own for a while, and in the end, it's up to you whether or not they find out each others' true identities. I just have one small request: when the Swat Kats run into Spider-Kat for the first time, have T-Bone say something like: "Hey, buddy! We wear the red and blue in this town!"

  • Body Switch Challenge 2: From Puss: A modified version of Cherry's Body Switch challenge. Instead of having the SWAT Kats switch bodies, have one or both of the SWAT Kats switch bodies with one (or more) villains. It should be more than five pages long. You are not required to return the characters to their rightful bodies (though it is suggested).

  • "SHIP-building" Challenge: From Puss: Pair two show characters (no fan-characters!) together. Build their relationship as 'normally' as possible. Requirement: Cannot contain any "so'n'so is kidnapped and the other saved them" plotlines. Little or no action is preferred. Bonus points: Don't use Jake or Chance!

  • Backstories Challenge: From Puss: Build up the back-story/origin of a specific character. Tell how Mayor Manx came to power, or why Chance joined the Enforcers, or why Dark Kat went bad. It should be more than five pages long.

  • "How They Met" Challenge: From Puss: Tell the story of how two characters first met. Suggested characters: Jake & Chance, Mac & Molly, the SWAT Kats & Callie, Burke & Murray, Dark Kat & his kreeplings/creeplings.

  • The Powerpuff Girls Crossover Challenge: From Dreamcatcher: Swat Kat/Powerpuff Girl crossover. That would be an interesting crossover: Three little girls with ultra superpowers get transported to the Swat Kat universe. Let your imaginiation run loose on this one. If you want, you could also have one or more of the Powerpuff Girls' enemies end up in the SK world too and maybe have them team up with a Swat Kat enemy (Mojo Jojo, Him, Gangreen Gang, Fuzzy Lumpkins, etc.) Sidenotes: No length requirements.

  • The Shrinking SWAT Kats Challenge: From Kari Gilmore: What if one or both of the SWAT Kats were shrunk? Ladies and gentlekats, it's time for "SWAT Kats: The Tiny Squadron!" Sidenotes: No length requirements.

  • The Mad Kat Vs. the PastMaster Challenge: From Matt Fiske: "Madkat VS The Pastmaster, the two magical beings of the SWAT Kats Universe, who will win? who will lose? who will get the movie rights? You decide." Sidenotes: No length requirements, and can be humorous or serious.

  • The SWAT Kat Body-Switching Challenge: From Cherry Koivula: "Write a story about what would happen if Chance and Jake switched bodies. The rules are VERY easy! The story can be however long you want, and they have to get their bodies back."

  • The Dark Kat Vs Viper Challenge: Originally started by C.L. Furlong. The story is to cover a showdown between Dark Kat and Dr. Viper. It must be a short story (nothing more than five pages) and neither villain may win in the end.
